I know someone who’s appendicitis nearly went septic because he was sent home twice from ER’s saying it was gall bladder. Ended up having two surgeries and 3 weeks in hospital. Just happened this summer.
My appendicitis was diagnosed before I was in major pain. Just a fever and side pain. That was in 1975. GP checked me out and said I should see a surgeon at the hospital and sent me over there immediately.

ANY acute abdominal pain that takes one to a hospital should be suspected appendicitis until proven otherwise. Being sent home with it is medical malpractice.

She sees one a day smaller than that and excises it so the patient lives to old age. Good doctors are like good mechanics, plumbers, farmers, and anyone else you need when things you can’t do go bad.
