What kind of “wildfires” burn in a perfect circle, and JUMP OVER WATER, igniting all the boats?

Guest Post by Mark Crispin Miller

Does “climate change” do that? Or is it geoengineering, meant to LOOK LIKE “climate change,” and scare us into giving up our lives, to “save the planet”?

A couple of days ago I listed some of the billionaires who live and own land right around the tiny town of what used to be Lahaina. Ellison’s private island is directly off shore of that town, Oprah and Bezos own land nearby.

Yesterday Oprah was handing out tee shirts to the survivors (natives), Bezos pledged 100 million dollars for relief. Depends on what the meaning of relief is to the club. I’m going to watch what is rebuilt in Lahaina very cloely, how about you?

MC- Lahaina was in the middle of a billionaires playground and near high dollar multinational corp owned resorts on the beach. My guess is they will develop it geared toward the monied class. Natives will no longer live there per the plan.

I read 93 dead up to 1500 unaccounted for. There is a special place in hell for those who could crispy critter almost 1600 people to gain financially. They did save the families the cremation fee.

As Maui residents call out for help, some of its richest landowners have pitched in or spoken out about the disaster. Oprah Winfrey, who owns more than 2,000 acres on Maui, has been handing out pillows and other supplies. Lauren Sanchez, Jeff Bezos’ fiancee and vice chair of the Bezos Earth Fund, said in a post on Threads on Thursday that the couple “will be making donations to help.”

Other billionaires who own homes or land on Maui, including Peter Thiel, singer-songwriter Jimmy Buffett, Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang and software tycoon David Duffield, have remained quiet. Spokespeople for Buffett, Thiel and Duffield have not yet replied to a request for comment from Forbes. Real estate billionaire Neil Bluhm, who also owns land on Maui, could not be reached for comment. An Nvidia spokesperson wrote that they won’t “announce plans through Forbes” but did not elaborate on whether that meant that Huang will be making an announcement or donation.

I think that it was a twofer, the US had to show that, despite how much of a failure our traditional weapons systems have proven to be a failure in Ukraine, (i.e. see Orlov’s latest) that we can still Pfuck U Up if you mess with us, so they needed to make a demonstration of a DEW and did so in the Pacific so that the Red Chinese would take notice.
So one of the Billionaires in Maui was in on it, and said hey as long as we’re going to do this, take out this den of undesirable natives and non rich white folks who are mucking about in our voew, we’ll buy the land build a nice Peadoplagrond for the Billionaire Epstein set and call it a day. Any natives left will be employees of the resort in special segregated housing.

Often the same I see badgering others to “think critically” moments later spout unsupported opinion as “FACT”.

Hi Jack,
Doubting everything the news says is true, seems to be a version of potentially disabling bias, on par with those who credulously believe, everything on the news is true.

With stories like Epstein where tpbt pretty much own all the details, a “highly doubtful” tag is easy.
Well, you know, because virtually every detail about Epstein was curated by um. ..them.

With stories like the Lahaina fire?
In the absence of anything obviously hinky,
Looking for the simplest answer suffices for me.

Checking firestorm characteristics, I found everything that happened in Lahaina is exactly what you should expect from a firestorm in that area.
Even the boats in the harbor are within high wind wildfire reach:

“Radiant heat from a wildfire can ignite combustible materials from distances of 100 feet or more.”
“However, winds can cause flames to rise diagonally, or even nearly horizontally, extending the reach of the flames.”
“firebrands, which are burning materials that are blown by wind from one place to another. Winds can blow firebrands more than a mile away from their source, starting new fires wherever they land

I haven’t seen anyone ask what kind of temperatures occur in wildfires.
_____
Q. At what temperatures do forest fires burn?
An average surface fire on the forest floor might have flames reaching 1 meter in height and can
reach temperatures of 800°C (1,472° F) or more. Under extreme conditions a fire can give off
10,000 kilowatts or more per meter of fire front. This would mean flame heights of 50 meters or
more and flame temperatures exceeding 1200°C (2,192° F).

The flash point, or the temperature at which wood will burst into flame, is 572°F, according to HowStuffWorks.

At what temperature does a forest fire burn?

______
Structure fire NIST site:

Heat Transfer

Heat transfer is a major factor in the ignition, growth, spread, decay and extinction of a fire. It is important to note that heat is always transferred from the hotter object to the cooler object – heat energy transferred to and object increases the object’s temperature, and heat energy transferred from and object decreases the object’s temperature.

Temperature inside a room undergoing flashover≈1000 °C (≈1832 °F)

https://www.nist.gov/el/fire-research-division-73300/firegov-fire-service/fire-dynamics

______
And off in an orphaned area of the interwebs I found this:

Wildfires spread by radiation, convection and firebrands.

Radiation is the process by which wildfires heat up the surrounding area. This is similar to the way a radiator heats a room during the winter but at considerably higher temperatures. Radiant heat from a wildfire can ignite combustible materials from distances of 100 feet or more. (Photo shows wildfire and illustrates how radiation is heating up the surrounding area.)

Flames often occur within columns of heat known as convection columns and can ignite anything flammable they contact. Typically, the flames in a convection column rise straight up, while cooling air descends and hot air rises in a cyclical pattern forming a column of looping heat.

However, winds can cause flames to rise diagonally, or even nearly horizontally, extending the reach of the flames. (Photo shows illustration of convection currents.)

The third way a wildfire spreads is through firebrands, which are burning materials that are blown by wind from one place to another. Winds can blow firebrands more than a mile away from their source, starting new fires wherever they land. (Photo shows firebrands being blown by winds.)

As one who has personally performed several controlled burns on my 25acres of native grass/forbs, there are few days when the conditions are right to conduct a burn. The temperature, humidity, fuel density, and wind must be right, if not either the fire barely burns or else would go wild. Even under ideal conditions dense, dry, knee high grass will produce 8-10 foot flames. Last year there were numerous wildfires in my area that received very little media attention. I wish that the County Commissioners did NOT have the authority to issue 90 day burn bans, 7 days at a time should suffice.

Generally, fiberglass can start to burn at temperatures above 450 degrees Fahrenheit. The material can begin to break down at this temperature, and the fibers can start to melt, releasing toxic fumes into the air.
