Journalists just read from the cue cards. There are no investigative journalists anymore. ABSOLUTELY nothing in the universe can be reduced to a single cause and effect. They do not even bother to check the facts they spout out all the time. Three underwater volcanoes have erupted just off the coast of Sicily. That just so happens to warm the water.
On January 15th of, 2022, the Hunga Tonga-Hunga Ha’apai undersea volcano erupted. It ejected so much water into Earth’s stratosphere that even NASA published a study in the “Geophysical Research Letters.”
The sheer amount of water vapor hurled into the atmosphere has been acknowledged, and it could temporarily warm Earth’s surface. An above ground volcanoes shoot ash into the atmosphere, producing the opposite effect that we call volcanic winter, for the ash blocks out the sun. Water vapor, some argue, can magnify the sun.
The underwater volcanoes also obviously warm the water. The United States ranks third, behind Indonesia and Japan, in the number of historically active volcanoes. We do not have a handle on all the volcanoes that may be erupting and warming the oceans. As Science magazine reported:

Making Money Marketing A Failed Alzheimer’s Drug
The video below, by Kevin Paffrath, details how Vivek Ramaswamy made money off of a failed Alzheimer’s drug. In a nutshell:
Ramaswamy’s parent company (Roivant) spent $5 million (a tiny amount, by biotech standards) buying the rights to a drug candidate for Alzheimer’s disease from GSK, plc (the former GlaxoSmithKline) that had failed four out of four clinical trials, and formed a subsidiary company around it called Axovant.
Ramaswamy’s mother (a physician) took one of the failed clinical trials and reinterpreted it, by eliminating patients who didn’t stay with the trial (because of side effects, the drug not working, or whatever), claiming there was some statistical benefit to the drug.
Ramaswamy brought Axovant public, raising $362 million in its IPO, for a drug Paffrath claims Ramaswamy knew would fail its stage three clinical trial.
The drug failed, and Axovant (now called Sio Gene Therapies) is down 99.75% from its IPO.

On the first day of trading the stock almost doubled, giving Axovant a market capitalization of nearly $3 billion. Considering that Ramaswamy had persuaded Glaxo to part with the unproven remedy for a mere $5 million up front, the newlyweds were ecstatic, as was a veritable wedding party of hedge fund pals who had followed Ramaswamy into the stock.
Yet as quickly as it started, the honeymoon was over. Why would Glaxo sell off a promising drug for so little? critics asked. And how could a company with ten employees, two of whom were Ramaswamy’s mother and brother, be worth so much? Experts, analysts and the collective blogosphere quickly piled on, and Axovant’s shares went into free fall.
Imagine all the investors who cleaned up on that buying cheap, getting in low on the IPO, selling high, then shorting all the way down just before the media “revealed” what a scam the stock was, and imagine all the investors who got cleaned out by it.

Ramaswampy isn’t “in it to win it” just as Pence & Christie aren’t. They’re vote derailers with one and only one main objective.
People are emotional animals. Logic and reasoning are a foreign language to most people. Not even mathematicians and scientists are immune from their emotions. That’s why it’s almost impossible to use facts, logic, and reasoning to change peoples’ minds. That’s also why propaganda is so effective. It uses peoples’ emotions against themselves. Cold reality is also effective in changing peoples’ beliefs. Unfortunately, that often happens too late.
The problem with logic and reasoning is you have to have enough information and be confident it is accurate and correct and I think for most things those assumptions are hubris.
So the best we can usually do are educated guesses and I think it is important to recognize that.
Ramaswamy does present a lot of truth and logic, that does not win elections often; usually the majority vote based on emotional appeal.

Climate change is real of course. The Earth started warming (in this most recent cycle) circa 1859 coincident with the Carrington event. CO2 began its measurable increase in the 1940’s . Obviously effects do not precede their causes so a CO2 increase did not cause the warming despite its later small contribution to it.
Since global CO2 started rising in the 1940s it has maintained a fairly steady rate of increase, this despite an exponential increase in human produced CO2 over the same time period. This suggests that human produced CO2 is still a noise level input on the overall natural CO2 increase.
Some other geophysical events coincident with the warming are: increasing undersea volcanic eruptions which heat the sea and increase its CO2, increasing movement of the Earth’s magnetic poles which heats the Earth internally, and decreasing strength of the Earth’s magnetic field which then admits more energetic particles from the sun and space. It is more reasonable to suspect these as the main causes of the warming.
