Today I was told Halloween was banned in Russia in 2022.
This seems to be a slight exaggeration; while it has since then been advocated to not celebrate Halloween [anymore], and initiatives for a ban seem to be underway, it is at this point not officially prohibited.
This how bad it is. In Australia we now celebrate holloween but we never did we celebrated fire cracker night known as Guy Fawkes night for the attempt to blow up Westminster but they banned it because some stupid kids were blowing their hands off and blowing up letter boxes.

Furious Chicago residents slam city over migrant crisis as officials plan to force youth football team off their home field to make a new camp
Chicago residents have expressed fury at the city’s government for offering shelter to a massive influx of asylum seekers, as a youth football team is set to be kicked off their home field to make room for a migrant camp.
More than 17,000 migrants have arrived in the Windy City since August 2022, with more than 10,000 in shelters and close to 3,200 staying in police stations and the O’Hare International Airport. The city government says it has so far allocated $328 million in aid.
An infuriated local called mayor Brandon Johnson and Democrats ‘criminals’ for their handling of the situation as residents met to discuss a lawsuit filed against the city over its housing of migrants in public buildings.

Years of budget cuts and staffing shortages have left the New York City Department of Health too hobbled to contain a sharp rise in local cases of tuberculosis, according to a bombshell new report
“TB is the top killer of people worldwide among infectious diseases,” Dr. Bruce Hirsch, infectious disease specialist at North Shore University Hospital in Manhasset, N.Y., told The Post.

Migrants are now being sent to New York City by PLANE from California – with the Salvation Army footing the bill
The Salvation Army has been facilitating the rampant migration of refugees into New York City, funding their efforts using FEMA emergency cash, and adding to the Big Apple’s crisis.
Reports emerged this week the charity has been helping migrants fly into New York City despite the asylum seekers already being inside the United States.
Assistance documentation printed by the organization was shared to X on Wednesday, showing TSA airport staff are handed a note saying the migrants ‘must cross the country,’ where they will await ICE check-ins.
