Nope, I was raised on a farm and know better. A two and a half year old turkey would be as tough as shoe leather.
It takes 30 weeks to raise the “Heritage” variety of tom Turkey from a chick to the 28 lb dressed weight. There are other varieties that take a few weeks longer but Butterball Turkeys are all of the Heritage variety.
