You must be in Northeast Texas. Down here here near Rockport, we only see sea grasses and cactus growing wild. I am trying to get some Paquin chili peppers to take hold in my acidic sandy soil.
how about s0me quality soil in a 3-7 gallon bucket. I too, have sandy acidic soil. I do Jalapenos that way. Get good yields. Either that or dig a hole and lime the shit out of it…
I am located in NW Comanche county, my place has 3 different soil types on 25 acres. 1 is hard & limey, not very good for growing anything the other 2 are clay loam, which are decent, garlic is a weed there, watermelon, cantaloupes, peppers, tomatoes, squash do great too. In the very near vicinity there is a deep sandy loam too, that was excellent for peanuts.
