Illegitimacy numbers are consistent with the 70ish percent that Thomas Sowell routinely mentions (especially when comparing to numbers from pre-Great Society programs). I would bet that the labor department is the source of unemployment numbers and is probably very close to what others routinely cite (including Sowell).
