How can a person who thinks the 1st amendment hamstrings the government ever get appointed to the Supreme court? The purpose of the 1st amendment is to hamstring the government against it’s citizens. This person has no concept of the Constitution, liberty or freedom, let alone individual god given rights. Obviously a Democratic appointee, but some of the Republican appointees are no better. Clarence Thomas is the only Supreme Court Justice that still consistently supports the Constitution and Bill of Rights.
