ARTIFICIAL IS NOT INTELLIGENT

by Ray Jason

I have a very unusual perspective on Life. Perhaps this is the reason:

Ray lives in his sailboat.

His sailboat lives in the Ocean.

Therefore, Ray lives in the Ocean.

I have been alone at Sea for voyages that lasted as long as 30 days. During those times, my only companions lived in the Sea and the Sky. I was isolated from normal, human contact. There was no TV, no Internet, no texting.

But I did have abnormal human contact in the form of books. Great thinkers and writers were my crew-mates. Being far from the frenzy and low-grade lunacy of the Modern World, I could ponder their thinking, their eloquence, their wisdom.

One of the lessons that sang through many of their books was the danger of Humanity disconnecting itself from the Natural World. These wise men and women were warning us of this spiritual separation even a hundred years ago. Imagine how terrified they would be if they were alive today and witnessed how swiftly – and seemingly without question – we are replacing the Natural with the Artificial.

It was bad enough when real food began to give way to “artificial food products.” It was sad when real friends were replaced by “Facebook friends.” But, it is hideous when even the magnificent Human Brain is under attack from Ego-fevered scientists and New World Orderlies who are trying to impose Artificial Intelligence on the world!

Before discussing AI in particular, I’d like to focus on Artificiality in general. For millions of years, as we became Homo Sapiens Sapiens, we were vitally connected to the world that surrounded us. We hunted and foraged for our food. Later, we tilled the earth for our daily bread.

We moved with our legs and eventually domesticated a few species of animals to expand our travel horizons. We built rafts, canoes and sailing ships.

We mastered fire. We raised animals for meat, eggs, milk and hides. We learned metallurgy and improved our ability to shelter ourselves.

More importantly, we understood both intellectually and viscerally that we were part of the animal kingdom, but we also recognized that we were distinct from the other animals. In an often harsh, mysterious and hostile world, we could stand proud in our ingenuity, strength and determination.

                                                     *******

Now, look at us today. We can’t grow our own food. We have more fat people than we have fit people. We use a car rather than walking a few blocks.

Kids don’t go outside and play with each other. They stay inside, screen-staring and embracing their Inner Monster with violent video games – or should I call them video violence games.

We work for soul-less corporations in tiny, fluorescent cubicles. To distract ourselves from how meaningless our jobs are, we medicate ourselves with “screen time.”

We do so, even though we know in our heart of hearts that these screens are lying to us, shaping us, distorting us.

                                                 *******

So, what has this mindless embrace of Artificiality bequeathed us? It has led us away from the pathways that have served human societies for eons. This estrangement that we feel towards Nature, also bleeds over into our everyday lives.

The fulfillment that we once found in family, friends, community and nation, has been replaced by an over-abundance and a worship of STUFF. Many regular people in the modern world have possessions more opulent than an aristocrat from a few centuries ago.

But that wealth is hollow. This is clearly evident in the West, where drugs, alcohol, prescription meds and suicide are a true pandemic. And, to make matters even worse, when the Individual is degraded and demoralized, that condition plays right into the hands of our Malignant Overlords.

These tyrants want to turn the whole world into a High Tech Slave Planet. This is much harder for them when their potential serfs are not docile and fearful, but instead are rugged and self-reliant.

                                                      *******

The automobile is an excellent example of the neutering of ordinary people. When I was a kid, my uncles could fix their own cars. They could read a map and would have laughed at the need for a GPS voice to guide them to their destination.

But our misnamed elites desire exactly that sort of dependency. Soon, they will have us in self-driving cars that will completely eliminate the freedom that the automobile once represented and delivered. Plus, they will be able to pull the plug and disable those electric cars, if the driver upsets The Mighty Klaus.

                                                     *******

Food is also a weapon that they are using to control us.

From an agrarian planet of farmers who could feed themselves and others as well, we transitioned into a world of mega-cities where “food comes from a store or a market.”

Not only has the food delivery system changed, but the food quality has as well. And that evolution has been from Natural to Artificial. Manure-grown crops and grass-fed animals have been supplanted by chemical fertilizers and corn-fed cows.

However, it gets even worse as the “food products” become so “processed” that they barely have any nutritional value. Over-fed but under-nourished people become “balloon people.”

Hefty, junk food junkies are far less likely to resist their enslavement. Whereas, well-nourished, vigorous, self-resilient individuals are a tyrant’s nightmare.

But the human “food system” is cartwheeling towards an almost unimaginable dystopian future. Our Malignant Overlords are buying up huge swaths of farmland (We see you Bill Gates.) Their obvious conspiracy is to remove that land from agricultural use and create a horrific famine.

Simultaneously, there have been “mysterious” fires at dozens of vital food storage or processing facilities. These events are clearly arson, but they rarely get mentioned by the Mainstream Presstitutes.

Their plan certainly seems obvious to me. They want to create a totally artificial 21st Century Slave Food. Klaus and his Klowns will do everything in their power to force us to “Eat zee bugs.”

They will wreck us with lab-grown “meats.” They will force feed us insect and algae goo. And ultimately, they will convert human remains into food wafers like in the movie Soylent Green.

                                                    *******

At the end of that movie, Charlton Heston is desperately screaming out the warning that “Soylent Green is people.”

The best that I can do is hammer out on my laptop an even more dire warning:

Soylent Green is not just a movie, it is a rapidly approaching REALITY.

                                        *******

I will address Artificial intelligence in the near future.

Thirty days alone out on the ocean sounds enticing, but it can go either way, as you must know.

I spent seven months in a small primitive cabin in the Maine woods, Fall through to early Spring….. but close to the highway and only 20 miles from town. I didn’t grow any of my own food, but I ate a lot of venison and snowshoe rabbit. Once my beer froze overnight. I stopped keeping it on the cabin floor…

Freezing beer ruins it.

Anyway, you can connect with the physical world anywhere, and all it takes is a minute or two to focus.

“Get Back to the Country” is a popular fantasy, and some people can even successfully live it, but certainly not everyone, and not even a majority.

I’m in a good place now, but keep thinking I might have to do a preemptive strike on my neighbors.

It’s a moral dilemma for me. I have other neighbors, good neighbors, but they are not at all prepared for any sort of even medium term interruption of power or transportation. All will be welcome to draw good water from my well (hand pumping it. Imagine!) and I will most likely share my food with them and my cooking fuel… but to what point?

It’s not really anything I wanted to think about in my retirement.

I was wondering about my neighbors. Their kids told me they have no food in the house. I bet in harsher times they will all see me as a food source. One idea I had was to plant some edible stuff nearby for the unprepared. I fear it will come down to getting rid of threats.

Excellent. I appreciate you unique perspective. This line really grabbed me.
“Hefty, junk food junkies are far less likely to resist their enslavement. Whereas, well-nourished, vigorous, self-resilient individuals are a tyrant’s nightmare.”
I find it very unusual to meet someone these days who is rational and not a big pharma induced zombie.
I am in a completely drug free home, includes 27 year old son and wife. None of us have a prescription for anything. I bet only one in 10 million can say that. I am 65, and I wake up feeling great, everyday, and fuck yeah, I am a tyrants worst nightmare.

I have aspirin (salcylic acid thousands of years old) and the rare need for
an antibiotic. (penicillin, a mold found in bread) and cortisone a naturally
formed hormone in cream form for itching and rash. Other than that, nothing.
How many people on earth could start a fire in a few minutes without ANY modern
inventions? No steel, flint, matches, anything? I’m guessing almost none except
very primative people. It used to be a universal skill. No more. How many know how to fashion a simple trap or a simple projectile weapon? When the world reverts to the 17th century,
those that have basic survival skills will survive. Millions won’t.

I know how to sail, but I’m no sailor, Ray. I have conned a friend’s 48 foot sloop from Darien, CN to Bath, ME in summer not in any kind of weather or open ocean. I have captained many small (17- 24 ft.) outboard fishing boats around Nantucket and the Vinyard, and all around the backcountry FL keys and the intercoastal waterway from Titusville to Daytona, and around the coastal Bahamas of Elbow Cay. But I’m no mariner. I can however fish effectively in all those waters. Including shellfish. What I have done well is survived, hunted, gathered, and had enormous fun in the wilds of Colorado, Wyoming, Montana, and Alaska in all seasons for weeks on end but not in hard winter. But I could if I had to. I am very well versed in oudoor survival. Most people have no idea how to do even the most basic things in a wilderness environment with little resouces. The “Backwoods Tribes” are “The Sea Gypsies” without a boat. Just boots. And we will survive.
Most won’t make it a single month when it all goes bad. And maybe they shouldn’t considering the hard won legacy they were given and so cavalierly squandered away with arrogant complacency. I also know how to make good ethanol that won’t blind you, so if we should meet after the apocalypse….
Cheers.

When the SHTF for real, things will shake out fairly rapidly.

I can do all that shit you mention, and more, and it will likely make no difference at all.

Actually the likely projection is that trillions will die. Time will tell.

I think, with only a little Divine intervention, it’s not too late.

Petition your State government. Ask them to protect your Rights. My State government is obligated by Law to protect my Rights. Probably yours is too.

At the least, your County Sheriffs have likely sworn an oath to protect your Rights.

Great thinkers and writers used books to artificially convey their thoughts. So did religious tyrants, and evil people with bad intent. Writing is a tool, and so is AI. It depends on who is using it, and what they are using it for.

Books are real. Writing is a basic tool of any civilized society, incredibly useful, necessary even.

Ideas are primarily what can be preserved in books, in writing, and passed on for future consideration and possible use.

Reading evil screeds like The Communist Manifesto Or Mein Kamph is a necessary evil. It’s essential to know your enemies.

No one really knows Mary. It’s possible that real intelligence will arise out of some combination of artificial neural networks. As I understand it, it’s a matter of scale, size; there is a tipping point where it happens. No one know where.

What is unlikely is that the people seeking to harness such a thing will be in control of it.

Too bad for them..

Always enjoy your writings.

The skills for survival overlap much, whether at sea or land based. I’ll likely never get to live at sea but having to go to the wilderness for survival is a distinct possibility.

I relish the isolation having worked in the bush for many years. And I agree, most people will not survive long having lost basic skills like finding water, shelter or lighting a fire without a bic lighter etc.

There is a canukistaner fella Les Stroud – Survivorman that has produced some excellent survival videos well worth their weight in gold. None of the showbiz stupidity like Bear Grills and others.

Perhaps you could start your own video series on seamanship, survival and required skills for being at sea. Many of those skills translating across to us land walkers. Just a thought.

One thing I tell people constantly is to get a tablet, or two, and load them up with PDFs and videos of all manner of survival, plant identification, blacksmithing, using nonelectric tools, canning and preservation methods, husbandry, anything remotely related to living with no or little electricity. It may be a portable library some day and invaluable.

Anyrate, happy sails

I spent the night on a fishing barge once and ralphed all night while everyone around me were catching nice sea trout. When I say sailing, I don’t mean a trip around the island, I mean as a lifestyle i.e. the type you write about. God created everything perfect.
Man trying to be God ruined it all.
When, you change what God made perfect and make money from it, it comes from a demon, the demon that is your ego.
When you love and are grateful for what God made perfect and satisfied, and thankful and love God for what He hascreated out of His Love for us, that comes from your soul which is angelic.
When you think you are better than God, that is a lie and the beginning of insanity.
We live in an insane world.
Man has let his demonic ego destroy all that God made perfect, in a delusion that he is better than God, or that there is no God, that is so disrespectful and offensive to God.
When you abandon God, see what you get.
You get Helll on earth.
An earth that was originally a paradise.
Everyone who is destroying life on earth is demonic.

Yeah sure, god loves us so much that he has allowed millions of generations to suffer immensely till this day. Humans and animals alike.

A loving god who drowned most of humanity in a great flood. Even innocent human babies and animals alike. That certainly is the epitome of love. He’s all powerful and all knowing, but he couldn’t find a more humane way of going about it.

He later ordered Israel to commit genocide against other nations as well. Utterly destroying men, women, children and animals. But he’s so loving, that at times he allowed them to keep the young girls for their sexual pleasure. Wow, he’s sure loving isn’t he? Halleluya!

Now, those that claim to be their descendants are following the same playbook. Yes, praise the Lord!
