SOME CHEERFUL REFLECTIONS ON … DEATH

by Ray Jason

There are some topics that are never discussed in “polite company.” Fortunately and deliberately, I have surrounded myself with “impolite company.”

My friends and I will wonder about the Grassy Knoll. We will question the free-fall speed of the Twin Towers. We will ponder the implications of the Dancing Israelis. In fact, on a really bold day, we might even dare to discuss the JQ.

But even in my eccentric circle, we do not talk about The Big D – DEATH. This intrigues me since I perceive it as just an organic part of The Big L – LIFE.

                                                   *******

In these reflections, I will be dealing with “natural death.” This would be someone who has lived past 70 years or so, and then experienced declining health until their body can no longer sustain itself.

“Tragic death” is an entirely different category. We witness this in Gaza on a daily basis. When an IDF storm-trooper walks through a hospital casually shooting doctors and patients, those victims did not suffer a natural death.

As for the cowardly soldier who butchered them, we can only hope that an Afterlife and a just God awaits him. A suitable Fate for him might be an eternal cycle of re-incarnation every day, followed by an afternoon visit to the Celestial Wood-Chipper – feet first.

                                               *******

Has the word “longevity” caught your attention recently? Only ten years ago you would rarely hear it or read about it. And yet, nowadays, it seems to be everywhere. I’m surprised that children’s breakfast cereals are not yet advertised as being “longevity friendly.”

Now don’t get me wrong. I believe that despite the difficulty and sadness and injustice of Life, it is still a wondrous blessing; and I cherish it dearly. For me, the ideal existence is expressed in Mr. Spock’s Star Trek advice: “Live long and prosper.” I would define that as still having most of one’s physical and mental capacities even as death approaches.

So, what is driving this new obsession with Longevity? IMHO, two things are propelling this phenomenon … Fear and Pride.

For Ordinary People, their severe Fear of Death, probably stems from social programming. Their parents, teachers and talking screens ceaselessly instruct them to dread the Reaper.

However, for the self-proclaimed Elites, who I prefer to call our Malignant Overlords, their motivation seems to be Pride. They see themselves as being so “special” that they deserve Immortality.

                                                     *******

FEAR

For most people, their death will be a minimal-pain experience. They will not spend their final hours being interrogated by pathological torturers. For many, it will be peaceful and they may even be surrounded by loved ones.

Once death has claimed us, we most likely experience The Big Sleep. We are just gone … and therefore unconscious. The dead person feels no physical pain. Plus, they do not experience emotional longing for the loved ones who live on.

I have always believed that Death is harder for those left behind. This is probably because Society hammers us with the idea that Death is the opposite of Life. But, I believe that it is actually a part of Life.

In fact, that belief is the main reason that I am writing this essay. I am trying to help lessen people’s grief by pointing out that Society has made the experience overly and unnecessarily traumatic. Whereas, I believe that Death is simply the final chapter of every individual’s life story.

Something else that might help soften Death’s blow, is the realization that it is universal and inescapable. One needn’t worry that the used car salesman that screwed you in Topeka will escape Death. In fact, it is the one aspect of Life in which true Equality is actually achieved.

                                                   *******

Pride

Most normal people just wish to be left alone and to have a decent life for their family. They realize that death is inescapable, but they also know that their legacy will be carried on by their children. That is sufficient comfort for them.

But the Malignant Overlords are consumed by gluttony.  Their desire for more, more, more of everything, everything, everything, has overpowered them to the point that they now seek Immortality.

I assume that down through the centuries many rulers have perceived themselves as so radiantly perfect that they should not be allowed to die. Unfortunately, life extension technologies are starting to catch up to the swaggering fantasies of super-rich egomaniacs.

With massive financial resources, they can swap out their blood with transfusions from young donors. They purchase heart transplants as casually as buying a new yacht. And the most horrific of the monsters, use adrenochrome in their lust for eternal life.

They indulge their vanity by using cryonics, in which their body is frozen in the hopes that it can be thawed out and revitalized in the future. And their latest grasp at Immortality is through Trans-humanism. This technology would mate their natural, carbon-based body with an artificial, silica-based entity.

                                                *******

Even if this becomes possible, what will they have achieved? Yes, they might have bequeathed themselves an endless future. But, in doing so, they will have transformed themselves into a neuro-linked, artificial-intelligence cyborg.

This might seem blissful for a while until they are plugged into The Main Terminal. And then how long is it before they become slaves to the Borg?

Which would of course be sweetly ironic, since they would get to experience what we have gone through under their rule. They would get a taste of what it is like to be The Little People … The Little Carbon People.

Death is an integral part of our lives. If you live long enough, see death often enough and understand the cycles that define existence, its mystery and beauty outshines the dread and anxiety it produces in so many today.

I have watched life leave the bodies of livestock and loved ones and it never seems as difficult as you would imagine if you didn’t see it for yourself. Whatever we are may reside in the body, but we are not the physical form we inhabit in life. This realm, this physical world we move through during our time here is a magical and wonderful experience filled with so many ineffable aspects no single philosopher or mystic has ever been fully able to grasp, yet it is something we all share, from the lowliest creature to our most beloved family member. I cannot fathom what lies beyond that moment, but I know it is not the end of our journey which goes on wherever that part of us that made our physical being animate in life.

While I would love to be around as long as some of my own family that made it close to 100, if I were to leave this world today I would be grateful for the time I had and the love I experienced, the things I have seen and done in the time allotted and look forward to whatever new adventure awaits beyond.

It is my belief that those who live in fear of death may have good reason. Whether that they squandered the gift of life itself, or did things in this world that cause them concern for their accounting. The dreams of those who wish for some sort of immortality, the singularity they promote, are looking for an escape from themselves and what they have done, not an eternal presence in the world.

Death is a portal into eternity, not a final destination.

When one gazes in wide wonder at child birth, the natural beauty of the lands we inhabit, the sun, moon and stars, one should consider that death is just another chapter in the continuum of all that beauty, and therefore, is nothing to fear.
None of us get out alive- most naturally, and many tragically.
Either way, the great beyond welcomes us all with open arms.

If you get out being with Jesus, you do in fact, get out alive. However, if you go the other direction, then you get the death you are speaking of. Eternity without your creator.

Life is not the mere presence of a pulse, oxygenated blood and being awake and alert.
It is a gift of God.
It is the act of abiding daily, eternally, moment by moment, thought by thought, act by act, in spiritual synchronization with our Creator by grace through faith in His only begotten Son.

Good luck with that.

Even Jesus had moments when he was tempted, moments when he had doubts.

No matter, I don’t believe in your idea of salvation through grace. Certainly not by grace alone.

Personally, from what I read in the Bible about God, you don’t want spiritual synchronization with Him unless you’re dead.

Moment by moment is an unattainable goal this side of heaven that none the less we should attempt to attain.
If we think we can earn it it is pride and works based not grace.
The definition of grace is unmeritted favor.
We deserve death yet by faith He gives grace through love.

Very well said. You saved me a lengthily post. All spiritual adepts, mystics, and sages through the dawns of time, including Socrates, pointed out that the real journey starts with death. The physical life is just an illusion, the real self is Soul made in the image of God. Soul is immortal and multi dimensional and never dies. There are virtually hundreds of books with people who have had Near death experiences, NDE’s. I have met many people in my life who have had them. Then there is the Spiritual Journey that the Saints of all religions, the mystics and Gnostic’s talk about. Even Saint Paul mentions he learned to die daily. I, like Saint Paul have learned to die daily, and I practice it every day. The dream world is part of the Many mansions Jesus talked about. It all starts with reading of the sacred scriptures, followed by the Spiritual practices of prayer, meditation, and contemplation., and it is accessible to people of all faiths. A friend of mine has a beautiful song.
I don’t care what you believe in.
I don’t care what you defile.
They’ll be a time when you must walk the sacred mile.

The Bible gives us hints of what eternity with Jesus will be like. The author has dismissed Jesus and has gone on to tell us all about what he believes.

God puts us in this ‘train station’ called ‘life’, urges us to go up to the counter and pick up the free ticket to a joyful eternity.

Jesus paid the whole price for your entry; all you need do is repent for your sins and accept Him as Lord. Too hard for most of humanity. Narrow is the path that leads to Eternity w Jesus, and few they are that find it…

I’ve often thought that the concept of loved ones looking down on us from heaven to be a fairy tale. When we die, we are removed from the restraint of time. I believe that when we die we will be instantly present around those that have gone on before us and even those that have been born and died after us. Time is a physical constraint that we don’t fully understand – it is just another dimension like length, width and depth.

Same thing happened with my uncle when he was dying of lunge cancer. Right before he went into hospice he kept saying he needed to get ready because he was going to the motorcycle races with his friend. At the time he was on a lot of pain killers so nobody thought anything of it. Until he said the friend he was waiting to meet was his Dad who’d already passed away. My grandpa used to take my uncle and my mom to the motorcycle races when they were kids. We knew he was nearing the end at that point.

I started to think about my own death about 5 years ago when my younger cousin died. He was 22 years old and died of a fentanyl overdose. Death took him quickly. Up until that point most of the deaths I’d been through had been older family members. It made me realize I didn’t want to wait until the last moment to think about my own death. I didn’t want to wait until I got a terminal illness or spend decades living in denial about it either. When you realize your life and everything in it is temporary a lot of things don’t matter anymore.

I think most people don’t want to think about their own death because they don’t want to jinx themselves or something. We live in a society where a lot of people believe they manifest their thoughts. They probably believe they’re inviting death by thinking about it.

I absolutely refuse to travel, sit, wait, be prodded, poked, medicated, lied to, robbed and waste my remaining time with an arrogant lying POS MD who cares more about his lunch and lawncare than his does about my health.
Years ago, at my younger brother’s funeral, my old ailing father, a man of few words sat listening to condolences and sympathies from friends and family, when he finally told a family member that was hovering over him mumbling ” I can’t believe he’s gone” to which he replied, ” We all have to die”. The woman was shocked and moved on as fast as she could. I had to suppress a chuckle. No one is special and no one gets out alive.

In regards to the last paragraph. People are superstitious because the truth about death is never told in the orthodox teaching. Death is a complete illusion. I am not saying the Bible is useless. It teaches you the basics. You just have to go deeper. The tools are prayer, meditation, and contemplation. You read a passage, do a prayer like the 25th Psalm. Show me thy ways oh Lord, is a favorite of mine. You then contemplate the deeper truths behind it. If you have a sincere heart. The holy spirit answers you. The greatest truths are not just given, they are earned through the discipline of doing your spiritual practices. The disciples wee expected to practice their disciplines.

What happens to someone who killed other people when they die? Say for example, a man fighting against the British for America to be a country?
It would seem to me to be an exceptional cause, but does that act make an otherwise decent person evil? The British men that were killed perhaps were not explicitly evil.
What if an otherwise good man kills an evil man who hurt or maimed the souls of innocent victims?

I would like sincere original first person thoughts, not what any religious texts have passed down.

I think what happens in life is resolved here too. You live with the accrued weight of everything you’ve ever done, good, neutral or bad. How that weighs on you throughout you life, or how you lighten that load is the purpose of living, isn’t it? You either aim for something better and work your way towards it, or you lean into the darkness but either way it’s your burden to bear while you’re here, whether heavy or light.

Maybe they do, maybe they don’t. I will say that I have never seen someone who qualifies as a psychopath that looked happy. They may well conceal their psychopathy, but there are a lot more systems in the body than what a psychiatrist is able to discern. Maybe cancer is the result of unresolved issues instead of whatever else they seem to think it comes from, and from everything I’ve learned in my life the medical industry doesn’t really seem to know a whole hell of a lot about much of anything outside of trauma care.

Of course I have no idea what the answer to that question may be, just guessing here.

I don’t think definitions should be that simple.

It is generally wrong to kill other men with whom one has no grievance, yet millions of young men have died all over the planet in war doing just that. Does that make them a sociopath? Maybe in some cases, but not always.

Doing what is necessary to survive carries no guilt IMO. There is usually no animus between soldiers opposing each other, as each realizes the similarities in their situations. The guilt in such cases lies with the people who brought the conditions about, usually national leaders.

Actions that carry negative Karma, or the weight of sin, are a different matter. They are done out of malice, or greed, or something similar.

Karma is the great balancer. Christianity calls it judgement day. The many mansions Jesus talked about means Spiritual planes. There is a place for all in the Spiritual worlds. Those who have done evil in this life will have to do a penance in The seven Worlds of Avernus, hellish regions. Eternal Damnation is a myth the priest craft use to control the masses.
You are judged by the Lords of Karma and put in the place you earned when you pass on. Karma is never given, it is earned. The judges look at you Akashic records and can see if the bad you did was malicious or part of your duty as being a soldier or protecting your family.

IMHO, we all originally came down from the heavenly realms to this Earthly existence to try to help or contribute – in some way. We knew the truly insane conditions down here, and that success (defined as living a truly impeccable life) was almost completely impossible, but still we came.

I agree with the sentiment that, “If you knew everything, you would forgive everything.” – As silly as that may sound to some people. The young men in war that kill the enemy as ordered; are confused, being lied to, and too inexperienced to even consider other alternatives to obeying a direct order. Those that kill invaders that violently threaten and harm other souls, are immediately forgiven and loved.

I think, in almost every normal case that upon death each of us will be greeted with overwhelming waves of love, understanding and gratitude.

Why do you assume it’s a Big Sleep and nothingness? What created something out of nothing? Either God or the Big Bang Something. Those are the choices. But something not in time, space and matter did it. I believe God is the Creator. You borrow God and His morality for your piece but don’t acknowledge Him as existing.

Jesus’ death and resurrection (empty tomb) are reliably documented to have happened. What Jesus said about Himself, death and eternal life must be considered truth if He rose from the dead (He did). If truth, the Big Sleep is a lie.

You wished for the Wood Chipper of Judgment to be unleashed on evil people. That assumes a God and morality. There’s no evil otherwise, just opinions. Mengele and Fauci could be good or bad, depending on point of view.

Since there’s a God, there’s heaven and hell, not a Big Sleep. The big question about the Big “D” as you call it is how will you/I avoid the Wood Chipper? Once you answer that question, death has no sting…or the biggest stinger you’ve ever encountered.

You should read Ecclesiastes 9 – The dead know nothing. The Bible refers to death as sleep in many verses, Daniel 12:2, for one. The sleep is from the POV of the living, though. Just like when you wake in the morning, you don’t know what occurred while you slept.

1 Thessalonians 4:16 “For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God and the dead in Christ shall rise first:”

“For the Lord Himself shall descend”: This fulfills the pledge of (John 14:1-3; Acts 1:11). Until then, He remains in heaven (1:10; Heb. 1:1-3).
“Archangel”: Very little is known about the organization or rank of angels (Col. 1:17). While only Michael is named as an archangel (Jude 9), there seems to be more than one in the archangelic ranks (Dan 10:13).
Perhaps it is Michael, the archangel, whose voice is heard as he is identified with Israel’s resurrection (in Dan. 12:1-3). At that moment (1 Cor. 15:52, “twinkling of an eye”), the dead rise first. They will not miss the Rapture, but be the first participants.
“Trump of God” (1 Cor. 15:52). This trumpet is not the judgment trumpets of (Rev. 8-11), but is illustrated by the trumpet of (Exodus 19:16-19), which called the people out of the camp to meet God. It will be a trumpet of deliverance (Zeph. 1:16; Zech. 9:14).
The trumpet that gathered the people, throughout the Bible was a silver trumpet. This trump that is blown will be silver, because it will redeem the people from this earth. Silver means redemption. The reason there is no silver in heaven is because we have already been redeemed.
This is the last chronological mention of silver in the Bible. The voice of the Lord and the trump are so enveloped in one, that it is hard to separate the one from the other. We can see in the following verse that many times the voice is spoken of as a trumpet.
Isaiah 58:1 “Cry aloud, spare not, lift up thy voice like a trumpet, and shew my people their transgression, and the house of Jacob their sins.”
This shout will wake the dead. This is the same shout that brought Lazarus from the grave. The dead in Christ just means that these will rise before the living in Christ who will be changed and rise. In Jude, Michael is spoken of as the archangel. My belief is that Michael is like a general under Jesus.
Whether the archangel is actually sounding or whether this is the voice of Jesus who is now King of kings and Lord of lords, I am not certain. It really does not matter. We know that this pure sound calls the Christians from the earth.

1 Thessalonians 4:17 “Then we which are alive [and] remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.”

Although the word Rapture does not occur in the English Bible (the Latin Bible uses the verb here from which rapture derives), the idea is expressed in the words “caught up.” The Rapture is the first phase of Christ’s return, involving every Christian alive at the time. These Christians will be caught up to meet Him in the clouds, instantaneously receiving glorified bodies.
“Caught up”: After the dead come forth, their spirits, already with the Lord (2 Cor. 5:8; Phil. 1:23), are now being joined to resurrected new bodies; the living Christians will be raptured, literally snatched away (John 10:28; Acts 8:39). This passage, along with (John 14:1-3), and (1 Cor. 15:51-52), forms the biblical basis for “the Rapture” of the church.
The time for the Rapture cannot be conclusively determined from this passage alone. However, when other texts such as (Rev. 3:10 and John 14:3), are consulted and compared to the texts about Christ’s coming in judgment (Matt. 13:34-50; 24:29-44; Rev. 19:11-21), at the end of a 7 year tribulation, it has to be noted that there is a clear difference between the character of the “Rapture” in that there is no mention of any judgment, while the other texts feature judgment.
So then, it is best to understand that the Rapture occurs at a time different from the coming of Christ in judgment. Thus, the Rapture has been described as pre-tribulational, before the wrath of God unfolded in the judgments of (Rev 6-19).
This event includes complete transformation (1 Cor. 15:51-52; Phil. 3:20-21), and union with the Lord Jesus Christ that never ends.
All those who have died “in Christ” will be resurrected; those who are alive and saved at the time of the Rapture will be caught up with Christ before the start of the “Seventieth Week of Daniel.” That is, the Great Tribulation.
There are many reasons to believe that the Rapture precedes the Tribulation, but fundamentally this view is consistent with a historical-grammatical interpretation of the Scriptures.
A close examination of the prophetic Scriptures reveals a distinction between the Rapture (which relates to the church), and the revelation of Christ in power and glory (which relates more to Israel).
“We which are alive” is speaking of the Christians alive at the coming of Christ who will be changed in the twinkling of an eye.
1 Corinthians 15:51-54 “Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed, ” “In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.” “For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal [must] put on immortality.” “So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory.”

Sorry, but everything you stated is a point of contention among many Christian theologians. The word ‘rapture’ is never mentioned in the Bible, nor any word that could be translated as such. Perhaps that is why it is stated as ‘Behold, I shew you a mystery’?

Sleep is used metaphorically in the Bible, especially in Paul’s letters. Regardless, when we die, there’s no sleep. It’s Jesus or Satan until the Judgment Day.

Ranked by whom?
The demons doing the ranking are invariably atheist professors, who can be safely ignored.
Presidents on the whole are egotistcal men driven by pride, lust (for power) and avarice. Three of the 7 dedly sins. The sins are deadly because they place man above God. And what president going back many decades doesn’t think he is godlike? No wonder so many are evil, and so few were good. Your way off. I am not knocking Jesus. I am knocking the Social organization of which all religions are. I am all about the individual relationship with God/Jesus. What the individual does and the religion does is two separate things. Jesus definitely did not hide the truth. Neither did any of the Disciples. They were all about spreading the Love of God to the masses. The Churches have always been about power. If you don’t see this, go back to CNN and mainstream news.

“Always that same LSD story, you’ve all seen it. ‘Young man on acid, thought he could fly, jumped out of a building. What a tragedy.’ What a dick! Fuck him, he’s an idiot. If he thought he could fly, why didn’t he take off on the ground first? Check it out. You don’t see ducks lined up to catch elevators to fly south—they fly from the ground, ya moron, quit ruining it for everybody. He’s a moron, he’s dead—good, we lost a moron, fuckin’ celebrate. Wow, I just felt the world get lighter. We lost a moron! I don’t mean to sound cold, or cruel, or vicious, but I am, so that’s the way it comes out. Professional help is being sought. How about a positive LSD story? Wouldn’t that be news-worthy, just the once? To base your decision on information rather than scare tactics and superstition and lies? I think it would be news-worthy. ‘Today, a young man on acid realized that all matter is merely energy condensed to a slow vibration. That we are all one consciousness experiencing itself subjectively. There is no such thing as death, life is only a dream and we’re the imagination of ourselves’ . . . ‘Here’s Tom with the weather.”

― Bill Hicks

On a more serious note, having recently lost some family and friends, and currently witnessing others still fighting the battle just to extend their time here, it never becomes any easier or better understood the more of it I experience. By the time I graduated high school I already had about a dozen classmates and friends die, whether quickly through accident or tragedy, or slowly through disease. I still remember their voices and faces and occasionally see them in dreams, even decades later. Many others followed, of course, throughout my youth and middle age, some that you could see coming due to bad lifestyle choices while others just suddenly gone that deserved no such fate. Like most here I’m long past the point where I go to more funerals than weddings, but they never get easier the more I attend. Death is part of life; a constant throughout our lives that we experience subjectively until we experience it directly.

When I was in college, I attended a symposium hosted by Timothy Leary, it was fascinating. Love or hate the guy, he had some interesting takes on life and made some very accurate predictions about the future.
At the end there was a question and answer period and a very angry woman got up and unloaded on Leary about her son jumping off a roof and dying, under the influence of LSD.
He basically told her that people are mentally predisposed to commit suicide and if not by LSD it probably would have eventually been something else. She did not like that…..at all.
It’s like when Rosanne blamed Ambien for her racist tweets that got her blackballed from Hollywood and the CEO of Pfizer said ” there are side effects to Ambien, but racism is not one of them”.

As I was reading your post I thought, man that sounds so familiar and then I saw you credit Bill at the end of the bit.

I worked with him once when I was just starting out on the road at a gig in Florence, SC. It was in an old VFW the weekend of Denture Fest (I wish I was making that up) and he did a version of that same bit. I never ran into him again, he passed away not that long afterwards, but I never forgot just how cool he was when the audience didn’t really get him. He was the consummate professional under pressure and he stuck with his material because he knew it was good even if they didn’t.

Thanks for the memory.

Yeah, Bill was great, crude but cerebral, acerbic but unrepentant, and yes funny. That line was one of three that his friends in the band Tool incorporated on the intro to “3rd Eye” as a tribute (all of which were drug related). The other two:

“You see, I think drugs have done some good things for us. I really do. And if you don’t believe drugs have done good things for us, do me a favor. Go home tonight. Take all your albums, all your tapes and all your CDs and burn them. ‘Cause you know what, the musicians that made all that great music that’s enhanced your lives throughout the years? (pause) …r….r…r..r.r.real fucking high on drugs.”

“Its not a war on drugs, its a war on personal freedom, keep that in mind at all times, thank you”

Our 10 year old has her first job now, she is cat sitting for our friends while they are on vacation. The going rate is $5 per day for 2 visits, one in the morning and one in the evening. She is very serious about it and carefully cleans the litter box, provides food and fresh water and plays with the cats for a half an hour twice a day. I usually accompany her to that friend’s house and I will read a book while she “works”. Last year, I read Mitch Albom’s “The five people you meet in heaven.”, and this week I started the same author’s “The next person you meet in heaven.” I like those books. As for accompanying my daughter to here workplace, I enjoy the time with her as we walk to and from the house and chat, just the two of us.

This morning, we saw a hawk catch an adult squirrel. We had a long discussion about how the hawk must be very happy, because maybe it is a mother hawk and needed food for her babies. On the flipside, my daughter pointed out that it is possible that that squirrel was a mother herself and now that she is gone her babies might die. I agreed with her and left it with the statement: “Life is like that. Something has to die for something else to live. Over time, it is a perfect harmony of living and decaying that includes the plants and the soil and everything that surrounds us and that God made the perfect closed system.” She agreed, even if the system is not free of suffering. Probably BECAUSE it is not free of suffering is how it is perfectly made.

That same daughter of mine has told me in the past that she thinks that the world would be better off without any humans and that she does not want to have a family because she does not want to contribute to the problem.

Talk about a punch in the gut for me. I had to adamantly disagree. But I enjoy these kind of conversations. At least the discussions stay in the family and don’t happen in her classroom with a purple haired they/them person.

Death and life are part of the one big whole. You cannot have life without death, the good without the bad, or the light without the darkness.

Look around us, the signs are everywhere.

Just as the earth goes through cycles so do we.

When a tree falls in the woods, it does not make a sound because there is no observer there to consciously experience the sound, and lays on the forest floor melting back into the earth, as it decays, new life springs from the dead tree.

Just as water transitions from solid, liquid, gas, we (our true selves) transition too.

“Which do you choose?”

With that, Le Jester leaped a step, smiled broadly, and quipped:
“I choose to die of …NATURAL CAUSES…IN OLD AGE.”

Chief Tecumseh wrote an in-depth poem about this topic.

“So live your life that the fear of death can never enter your heart.
Trouble no one about their religion; respect others in their view,
and demand that they respect yours.
Love your life, perfect your life, beautify all things in your life.
Seek to make your life long and its purpose in the service of your people.

Prepare a noble death song for the day when you go over the great divide.
Always give a word or a sign of salute when meeting or passing a friend,
even a stranger, when in a lonely place.
Show respect to all people and grovel to none.
When you arise in the morning give thanks for the food and for the joy of living.
If you see no reason for giving thanks, the fault lies only in yourself.
Abuse no one and no thing,
for abuse turns the wise ones to fools and robs the spirit of its vision.

When it comes your time to die,
be not like those whose hearts are filled with the fear of death,
so that when their time comes they weep and pray for a little more time
to live their lives over again in a different way.
Sing your death song and die like a hero going home.”

Once death has claimed us, we most likely experience The Big Sleep. We are just gone … and therefore unconscious.

You have apparently never studied the evidence from more than a century of psychical research that overwhelmingly supports belief in the continuation of consciousness after the physical body dies.

Until you do, you are ignorant.

Jenna

There is no death.
The body is temporary.
In the spirit world we are out true self.
In this world which is a hologram, we are here to decide which place to go after death.
Since the fallen angels of hell tampered with humans and earth humans are now partly created/ destroyed by the devils of hell. Yet are still part of what God originally created them to be.
The Antichrist who are many (yiddish) and the Christ, Jesus who is the one and only son of God, are fighting over who takes you after your body dies.
You keep your body until you finish the three thirty year trials.
Most never make it to the third trial.
If you are murdered you come back again, strat over.
If you die during the first trial around age 30, it is because Saran won you over, to continue will not be nessessary.
Then around 60 it happens again.
Most people continue. Rarely does anyone make it passed 90, if they do, they still have a chance to continue evolution higher.
We are spiritual beings.
Here to evolve back into what God originally created us to be.
Lucifer and his angels fell, because they took that from us long ago using fallen angel technology.
They are at the point of doing it again.
So now it will end.
Those who worship the antichrist=the kids, even if they think they are Chritian and following the Bible are liars who believe lies, the lies of the antichrist.
That is a lot of people going to Hell. Never to know God ever again.
All who are part of science and technology even medical tech, are lost to the devil, because all evil comes from the devil who gives us science and technology as a replacement for God.
Those people do not serve God. They serve the antichrist.
This world will end during ww3when you see He’ll coming for the ones who worshipped the antichrist.
The world places that gave the devils their power, the western nations especially England and the US, will all be destroyed.
The nation’s the antichrist ules over, China, Russia, Israel most if the middle east nations will all vanish including Rome the Vatican. They will mutually destroy each other. That is what evil does.
It destroys itself.
All evil will be taken like trash to the dump, to Hell. Those who evolve are those who know the truth and do not believe the lies of the antichrist
They have light in their souls, truth is light. God is light and truth.
Those who worship the yiddish antichrist people are darkness and lies like the devils themselves. They have chosen to devolve into the image and likeness of the devil.
They have no truth or light, nothing of God in them.
This age of darkness and demons will continue in the spirit world where there is no death ever, for those who make themselves resemble the devils and refuse to be one with God.
For the children of God who first created them, the father will take them to His new Kingdom. Where there is also no death.
You each decide where you will go after this world ends.
If you love the yids, you will love it in he’ll.
You are all spirit consciousness.
You have immortality.
There is no death for our consciousness.
We create whatever path our consciousness decides to take individually.
We must pray for souls to convert and be saved. For those on their way to hell, to find their way back to God.
Just as Jesus Christ was made as His father, in his true complete image, you know nothing can change Him or make him evil.
The same is true for all the yiddish, if they have a yid mother all the way back to the beginning. They are all made exactly one with the devils of He’ll.
There is nothing that could evet change them to make them good.
That is the truth.
If you do not know that is true, you worship the antichrist, and do not know God.

Well Ray … all in all it’s a pretty good lil’ essay You present here, except for Your fallacious portrayal of the IDF soldier and trying to paint Israeli soldiers defending against Islamic jihadist terrorists as somehow being murderers. You obviously must be a fan of the Leftist rag, ‘The BBC’, or Reuters or some other pro-Hamas “media” outlet that engages in the most egregious forms of propaganda and lies they attempt to pass off as “journalism”.

Those hospitals were operation centers for Hamas that held stores of ammunitions and firearms, mortars and IEDs, and although I’m not certain to which “patients” You were referring [perhaps You’d care to provide a link], many of the patients were Hamas terrorists who were wounded in the Israeli counterattack, after these terrorists murdered 1500 Jews, men, women and children — even small babies.

Yes — but let’s castigate and excoriate the “cowardly soldier” who was going after the real cowards and murderers in this story — the Hamas terrorists attacked and murdered 1500 unarmed civilians.

I’m not crying over Gaza. As far as I’m concerned, the best thing ever for Israel and the world will be the total eradication of Hamas and the exile of the descendants of Arab Muslims back to their countries of origin from whence their fathers and grandfathers came to attack Israel in their wars against this sovereign Jewish state in 1948 and 1967, and many other points in time. The refusal of the Arab League of Nations to allow them to return was intentional and purposed to create the so-called “palestinian refugees” as political leverage against Israel.

“Palestine” is the name the Brits gave to the region of land they had set aside after WWI to divide equally between the Arab Muslims and the Jews, and the Muslims gor their “palestine” with the creation of Jordan, which actually took land from that which was originally designated to be part of Israel. But “palestine” is a derivative of “palestini”, the name applied to the entire region for all the people by the Roman Empire.

The fact of the matter remains, there has never been a “palestinian” people [the word was first used for the people of Gaza and the West Bank in 1967. There has never been a country named “palestine”, or a “palestinian government”, “palestinian language”, or “palestinian culture” — they are all ethnically Arab Muslims and descendants of fighters that crossed into Israel from Turkey, Egypt and Jordan and several other Islamic nations. That they have wallowed in their “victimhood” in one great production to attempt to destroy Israel and bring it under Islamic control once again — from the river to the sea — is their own doing, their fault and no one else’s.

Yes — the Israelis are the Bad Guys here, even tho’ ever since the days of Yassir Arafat the call “from the river to the sea” has gone out, calling for an Islamic genocide against the Jews and making Israel a part of the Ummah forever as they are commanded to do if their Islamic supremacist doctrines found within the Koran and the Hadith and Mohammed’s last words found in the Verses of the Sword.

And Israel has always shown a remarkable restraint, until now.

If Israel is smart, they’ll stop trying to limit collateral damage at their own expense right this second, kill the hell out of any Hamas and their supporters who try to stay and annex Gaza, the West Bank and Golan Heights, since all of these were taken from land originally belonging to Israel in the first place, after the “palestinians” already had their new “homeland” of Jordan, if only they could have risen above their hatred of the Jews.

Try writing about the actual facts of the matter next time around.

In the meantime … smooth sailing …

Why yes .. of course … we should all follow the U.N.’s lead — that center for tyrants, dictators, communists, Islamofascists and general anti-freedom derelicts of the world, that was designed and organized by Alger Hiss, a known and proven communist in such a manner as to favor the Soviet Union’s agenda after WWII. It’s a well known fact that today’s Arab League of Nations is currently one of the U.N.’s most influential voting blocks.

Perception has nothing to do with it, Ray. The historical record and the facts reveal the truth. What You call “palestine” belongs to Israel, right and proper.

Stop spending so much time at sea and try doing some actual research on the Jews valid claim to the land they currently hold and that which they were forced to relinquish by way of international political pressure through the years.

Ray … you proudly proclaim your rejection of Israeli propaganda, while handing me a link that is nothing but Hamas propaganda using Al Jazeera as its source. Al Jazeera “journalists” knew of Hamas’ planned attack prior to Oct 7th and did nothing but wait for it, even enabled it and joined in with the terrorists at several points.

You really should choose Your sources more carefully. A little extra due diligence would go a long way in arriving at the truth.

At least I look at a variety of credible sources before putting pen to paper.

The overwhelming evidence is on Israel’s side.

They have a right to exist, but Hamas and the Islamic nations refuse to acknowledge it and have rejected every single peace treaty, or violated any made, using such treaties only to gain further concessions and more land — yard by yard — in hopes of eventually seizing all of Israel and either subjugate or murder all the Jews. Every “peace” has been seen as an opportunity by the Islamofascists as a moment for them to grow their supply of armaments and prepare for their next attack on Israel, attacking time after time after time. Even Hamas’ leaders explicitly expressed that October 7th style attacks would be repeated in the future.

“A top official with Hamas has vowed the terror group will “sacrifice martyrs” and will conduct terror attacks against Israeli citizens until the country has been annihilated.”

https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/world/watch-hamas-leader-vows-to-sacrifice-martyrs-in-another-oct-7-style-attack/ar-AA1jenHn

“Ghazi Hamad, a member of the militant group’s decision-making political bureau, warned that Gaza leadership would replicate the coordinated Oct. 7 attack, referred to by the terrorists as Operation al-Aqsa Flood, which killed more than 1,400 Israelis and took some 240 hostages.”

No, Ray … I’m fully aware of The Burning Platform’s reputation, which actually is probably a better one than even You might think. At least it doesn’t try to slant the facts one way or the other and it actually allows all views to be published here, for people to sift through the information and discern for themselves what facts are accurate, in order to arrive at the truth.

We are in agreement that not all “palestinians” are terrorists, but that’s about it. 90% of them fully support Hamas and its mission to destroy Israel, otherwise Hamas wouldn’t remain in power, and in that, they aren’t “innocents”. The amassing of rocket launchers, millions of rounds of ammo and rifles through the misuse of USAID couldn’t happen without the complicity of the bulk of the palestinian population.

And they aren’t starving to death. Regular airdrops of all manner of food and medicine are being conducted as we speak by U.S. cargo planes, and a variety of UN and NGO groups are also on the ground feeding the palestinians.

Are they living comfortably. Of course not. And it’s a horrible thing for the truly innocent children of the area to have to endure, but it was brought by way of the sins of their fathers and an unwillingness to live and let live in peace. Israel pulled out of Gaza and left them to their own devices years ago, only to be repaid by a continuation of murderous attacks.

This is war, and in all wars there is collateral damage. The people who want no part of it are free to leave — but how ironic — only Western nations and Japan are currently accepting palestinian refugees — Where are their Islamic brethren in Egypt, Yemen, Saudi Arabia or even Turkey.

Yes … poor, poor palestinains. They made their bed, they can lay in it.

I reiterate. Israel is absolutely 100% correct in decimating the region, killing every last Hamas fighter and bringing the people to their knees in ultimate and final defeat to a point where they finally — perhaps — decide to make war no more. But then again, we’re speaking of Islamofascist fanatics who seem all too willing to fight to the last man to see Israel destroyed.

Let the chips fall where they may.

I just reviewed your video … filled with a ton of speculations and conjectures and nothing concrete — other than agreeing that Hamas committed an unprovoked attack on civilians and committed what can only be described as “war crimes”, murderous assaults on Jewish men, women and children, the kind that sent many former Nazis to their executions after WWII.

That you and others can be so blind to what is actually occurring here is simply astounding and beyond the pale. Defend Hamas all you wish — defending the indefensible, brother — but you are siding with evil and those who worship tyranny and death over freedom and life.

Thanks for the thought-provoking conversation, Ray.

The following is something I wrote in August 2013:

The word “Palestine” does not occur in the Old or New Testament at all; after the Jewish revolt of Bar-Kokhba in 135 AD, the Romans renamed Judea to be “Palestine” or “Syria Palestina”, with the intention of obliterating its Jewish identity. The earlier name never disappeared, and as late as the 4th century, Christian author Epiphanus referred to “Palestine, that is Judea”.

The “Arab Palestinian” was never a serious age-old or even century-old national identity. The term was introduced as a tool after the 1967 Six Day War, and, according to the British Palestine Royal Commission Report, “In the twelve centuries or more that have passed since the Arab conquest… In the realm of thought, in science or in letters, it (Palestine) made no contribution to modern civilization”.

As Rosemary Sayigh wrote in the ‘Journal of Palestine Studies’, “a strongly defined Palestinian identity did not emerge until 1968, two decades after expulsion”. It had taken twenty years to establish the “myth” prescribed by Muslim activist Musa Alami.

Upon the emergence of the Sovereign Jewish State of Israel in 1948, there were no more than 430,000 genuine Arab refugees, although the UN asserted 500,000 officially. 750,000 Jews were dispossessed and forcibly expelled during this same period.

President Truman’s International Development Advisory Board, March 7, 1951, and the Arab sponsored Institute for Palestine Studies in Beirut agreed that 68% of the Arab refugees left in 1948 at the urging of Arab leaders and Islamic imams, rather than any expulsion by the Israeli military. As some Arab leaders demanded the “return” of the “expelled” refugees, Emile Ghoury, Secretary of the Arab Higher Command, told the ‘Beirut Telegraph’ on August 6, 1948: “It is inconceivable that the refugees should be sent back to their homes while they are occupied by Jews… It would serve as a first step toward Arab recognition of the state of Israel and Partition”.

From Khaled Al-Azym’s 1972 memoirs (Syrian Prime Minister 1948): “Since 1948 it is we who demanded the return of the refugees…while it is we who made them leave… We brought disaster upon…Arab refugees by…bringing pressure upon them to leave…We have rendered them dispossessed…Then we exploited them in executing crimes of murder, arson and throwing bombs upon…men, women and children – all this in the service of political purposes”.

In 1958, former director of the UN Relief and Work Agency, Ralph Galloway declared emphatically that “the Arab states do not want to solve the refugee problem. They want to keep it as an open sore… a weapon against Israel. Arab leaders do not give a damn whether Arab refugees live or die!”

During the 1950s, a population exchange occurred between India and Pakistan, as 8.5 million Sikhs and Hindus from Pakistan fled to India, and approximately 6.5 million Muslims moved from India to Pakistan; a precedent for such population transfers was set by Turkey and Bulgaria in 1913, and in 1923, Turkey and Greece exchanged 1.25 million Greeks and 3.55 million Turks.

Why wouldn’t such a population exchange have worked with the Jews and the Muslims?

A mutual repatriation obviously could not be demanded if one side of an exchange had fled from intolerable conditions and could not return. Hence, the Arab lie emerged that the “alien” Jews had lived harmoniously among the “native” Arab Muslims before Israel became a state and the mythical “Palestinian” was created.

In Egypt after the Sinai Campaign of 1956, thousands of Jews were interned without trial, while still others were served with deportation papers and ordered to leave within days; their property was confiscated, their assets frozen.

In Iraq, Zionism became a capital crime, and Jews were hanged in the center of Baghdad, in front of cheering crowds of Muslims. Although no laws authorized the confiscation of Jewish property in Iraq before 1950, the Jews were stripped of millions of dollars through economic discrimination and government extortion.

Anti-Jewish broadcasts from Egypt in response to the partition of Palestine resulted in the December 2, 1947 pogrom in Aden. Eighty-two Jews were murdered, scores more were wounded, while 111 Jewish stores were robbed bare and over 200 Jewish homes and four synagogues were burned to the ground; Aden’s 1958 riots directed violence and murder at the Jewish community once again; after the 1967 Six Day War, it became apparent that the islamofascists were preparing to massacre what remained of the Jewish community, and the British evacuated them. And this scene was repeated time and again across the entire Arab Muslim world!

Reverend James Parkes observed in 1949: It was only politically that the Jews lost their land. They never abandoned it physically, nor did they renounce their claim to their nation… the only continuous claim that exists. The Jews never submitted to assimilation into various victorious populations even after successive conquerors had devastated the Jewish organizational structure.

Buried beneath the propaganda of the Arab nations, the Organization for Islamic Cooperation and the islamofascists, one finds that more than 40 Jewish communities survived and could be traced in the 6th century, despite physical violence against the Jews by the post-Roman Christians and Muslims. Twelve of these towns are on the coast, in the Negev, and east of Jordan (Transjordan and the “Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan”), and thirty-one villages are in Galilee and the Jordan Valley.

After the 1973 Yom Kippur War, Albert Memmi, a Tunisian-born writer, responded to a Libyan official’s invitation to Libyan Jews to return to Libya:

“Is it true that you have said that the Jews have always lived at peace in the Arab countries? And that you have nothing against Jews, only Zionists?…The error which may have been made at Deir Yassine (Palestinian Jewish Irgun and Stern troops inadvertently killed 250 Arab civilians in 1948) is constantly thrown in our faces. Ah, but we have undergone a hundred Deir Yassines, a thousand Deir Yassines! And not only in Russia, Germany or Poland, but also at the hand of the Arab people; yet the world has never been upset over it!… if you really wanted to avoid having us come together on this particular bit of land,… Israel…, then why did you hound us and expel us from the regions over which your power extends?”

Today and despite John Kerry’s new “peace-talk” initiative between Israel and the “Palestinians”/Arab Muslims, the islamofascists in Gaza and the West Bank, especially Hamas, perpetuate this false national identity, and in so doing, they sacrifice the wellbeing and lives of the “Arab refugees”; they hope only to accomplish, politically and through continued, if sporadic, terrorism, the destruction of an unacceptable sovereign Jewish state… dhimmi Jews from Islamic lands now acting as their equals… as it represents an affront to all Islamic nations.

Muslim propaganda has effectively hidden the fact that Arab/Islamic nations have virtually purged their Jews, as the European Union, the United States and the rest of the world ignores the plight Arab-born Jews have faced historically – the camps, squalor, displacement, theft of property and a loss of security and murdered kinsmen; raise the question of “Middle East refugees” with any number of academics, such as Professor Rubenstein, professionals or just regular workers, and they refer to the Arab “Palestinians”. It is as though the painful and horrifically sad story of the Arab-born Jewish refugees had been erased: the revisionist history of the anti-Jewish Leftists and islamofascists must be rejected and corrected!

One more to give You some food for thought, Ray. I wrote this right before Christmas 2012:

On November 29, 2012, the anti-American and anti-Jew organization of the United Nations granted “observer” status to the Palestinian Authority (PA) under Mahmoud Abbas, which has only served to intensify the already fierce struggle of the Jews to survive in their own land. Beleaguered, besieged and constantly attacked by Her Arab neighbors since 1948, Israel is still surrounded by enemies and their proxies, such as Hamas, Hezbollah, Al Qaeda and Jaamat el-Fuqra, who are dedicated to Israel’s destruction. This move by the U.N. materialized after a yearlong defense by Israel against over 1500 Katusha and Iranian SR75 missile attacks by the terrorist group Hamas from the Gaza Strip, which has become one massive forward positioned armament depot and islamofascist military base!

Just as a “palestinian state” or government, a palestinian homeland, a palestinian people and language (they are Arabs) are myths, fictions and lies created after 1948 (“palestini” is a Roman word used to describe Arab and Jew alike and translates from Hebrew as “invader”)…so too are the notions of the two state solution and a lasting peace between Israel and the “Palestinians” of Gaza and the West Bank.

In 1982 at Amman, Jordan, journalist and writer extraordinaire, Oriana Fallaci intensely questioned and prodded Yasser Arafat into outlining the desired borders for “Palestine.” Arafat stated that they could be the ones established under the British Mandate, but continued with, “If we take the Anglo-French agreement of 1918, Palestine means the territory that runs from Naqurah in the north to Aqaba in the south, and then from the Mediterranean coast that includes the Gaza Strip to the Jordan River and the Negev Desert.” When Fallaci pointed out that this included a large portion of Jordan… and the whole region west of Jordan… Cisjordania, Arafat replied, “What you call Cisjordania is Palestine.”

Reality and the crux of the matter are illuminated by the words of Salah al-Bardaweel, a Hamas spokesman: “We do not recognize Israel, nor the partition of Palestine, and Israel has no right in Palestine… Our membership in the U.N. bodies is our natural right, but without giving up any inch of Palestine’s soil.” In other words, forget the 1917 Balfour Treaty and the 1922 League of Nations Mandate and every other initiative taken in the name of a peaceful solution since then, because Hamas and Bardaweel’s vision is a Palestine extending from the Mediterranean Sea to the borders of Egypt, Jordan and Syria with Israel no more and the Jews destroyed!

The U.N. vote was 138-9 to recognize Palestine as a nonmember observer state, and all but one European nation, the Czech Republic, voted with the Palestinians or abstained in the vote, as they cited concerns about settlements in the West Bank and East Jerusalem territories repatriated by Israel during the 1967 war. And, in a very real sense, this action has revealed an attempt to isolate America and Israel on this issue, as the world faces a rising islamofascist tide, so warmly embraced by the despot infested, anti-Freedom/human rights, anti-Jew crowd of the U.N.

In ‘The Meaning of the Yom Kippur War’, Yehuda Amital illustrated how deep seated fears of annihilation penetrated the psyche of nearly every Jew in Israel, as they were reminded of their isolation in the Middle East and shown that they were encircled by enemies. This raised the specter of the Holocaust.

Three months ago, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu extended the hand of peace to Mahmoud Abbas, and, as noted by Israel’s U.N. Ambassador Ron Prosor, “He reiterated that his goal was to create a solution of two states for two peoples, where a demilitarized Palestinian state will recognize Israel as a Jewish state.” And yet, the world has never heard the Palestinian leadership use the phrase “two states for two peoples,” because they do not, nor will they ever, recognize that Israel is the nation-state of the Jewish people.

It is absurd for so many world leaders, including President Obama, to act so dismayed over Israel’s retaliation through last Friday’s approval of 3000 new homes in territory that was originally the land of the Jews, King David and King Solomon. This should trouble them a damn sight less than a group of terrorists unilaterally attempting to grab statehood without having to compromise with Israel.

Saeb Erekat, the PA’s chief negotiator, stated, “At a moment where Palestinian leadership is doing every single effort to save the two state solution, the Israeli government does everything possible to destroy it.” It must be pointed out that in the West Bank where the PA has largely been residing peacefully, as of late, Israel has left them to themselves; and in Gaza, Hamas constantly initiates confrontation and attacks Israel, so the Hamas terrorists get to fully enjoy the ire and wrath of the Israeli Defense Force… and, as for the people of Gaza….their continued support of Hamas thugs… their complicity… makes them responsible for their own misery!

Israel has long maintained its right to develop neighborhoods throughout East Jerusalem and the West Bank, and more than 500,000 Jews are already living there; however, America and Europe have attempted to force Israel not to move into the E1 Development Area, which they see as a “red line.” And, when I hear former U.S. Ambassador to Israel, Daniel Kurtzer, state, “This is one of the most sensitive areas in the territory, and I hope the United States will lay down the law,” I have to highly praise Netanyahu’s firm resolve to safeguard Israel’s interests and national security concerns.

Shortly before the 1967 Six Day War, Rabbi Kook interrupted his usual sermon with a scream, as he asked a pointed and prophetic question. “Where is our Hebron, Schechem, Jerich and Anatoth, torn from the state in 1948 as we lay maimed and bleeding?” Three weeks later, the Israeli army entered these biblical cities. By the end of this war, Israel had conquered the Gaza Strip from Egypt, the West Bank from Jordan and the Golan Heights from Syria. Jerusalem, divided between Israel and Jordan since 1948, was annexed and declared the eternal capital of the Jewish state. Jews were once again able to pray at the Western Wall.

Yitzhak Shamir, one time Israeli Foreign Minister who also became Prime Minister, was a strong advocate for Jewish settlement in the West Bank and the Gaza Strip from 1967 on, however, it was the December 9, 1987 Palestinian uprising (intifada) that deepened divisions between Israel’s leftists, who believed in making concessions to bring peace, and the right, who believed that Israel’s days without Jerusalem, Judea and Samaria and the Gaza Strip are gone forever and will not return.

Signing the Oslo Accords in 1993 also signed Prime Minister Yitzhak Rabin’s death warrant. Many Jews and their rabbis saw Rabin as a “rodef”/pursuer, one who actively threatens the life of a Jew. On November 4, 1995, Yigal Amir, an army veteran and a student at Bar Ilan University, assassinated Rabin during a peace rally in Tel Aviv; his study of Jewish law convinced him that Rabin was an enemy of the Jewish people, and he believed that he had a duty to kill him.

The current crop of Hamas terrorists now occupying the Gaza Strip are no different from the Muslim Brothers who published their vile “news” articles for decades in their journal ‘al-Dawah’ (The Call). They describe the enemies of Islam as Western Christianity (al-Salibiyyah, the Crusade, to highlight its perceived imperialism), communism, secularism Ataturk-style and Zionism. “Jewry” in particular was linked inextricably to the other three enemies and specifically targeted for destruction by Hamas in its charter. And, these are also the same sort of islamofascists who followed the teachings of Al-Faridah al-Ghaybah, ‘The Neglected Duty’ (jihad/holy war) and whose followers in the Muslim Brotherhood assassinated Egyptian President Anwar Sadat on October 6, 1981, because he dared deal with “the Jews”; the ideas outlined in ‘The Neglected Duty’ were not confined to a tiny group of extremists, but were more widespread in Egyptian society than observers believed at the time.

Israel needs Her warriors to stand firmly beside Netanyahu… Where are the modern day Joshuas, Davids, the Maccabees, the Theodor Herzls, the Ben Gurions and those pioneers of Israel, who were seemingly possessed by their own mystical vision or mad genius?!?…Where are those like the Jews who settled on the site of the biblical city of Schechem in Nablus in the West Bank, because their sacred land was being profaned by the Palestinians?

With Iran still smuggling more powerful and longer ranged missiles into Gaza by way of Egypt, Israel’s only real chance for survival and ensuring its national security and the safety of its citizens lies in the following course of action. The annexation of the Golan Heights should be further solidified and made permanent by extending settlements and defense perimeters across the area; and in conjunction with this, Israel must also annex the Gaza Strip, the Shaba Heights, the West Bank and the entirety of Jerusalem. This should be followed with the immediate expulsion of Hamas and all Palestinians not holding Israeli citizenship, just as Jordan’s King Abdullah expelled the PLO and Yasser Arafat in the 1970s. The current climate and path in today’s halls of diplomacy will only serve to hand Israel to Her enemies!

“Each, the religious and the secularist, gazes at each other in horror. Neither can see the other clearly. Both recall the excesses, the cruelties, and the intolerance of ‘the other side’ and wounded to the core they cannot make peace.” -Israeli novelist Amos Oz

No need to fret over death. It will come as it may, either violently and fast or slow and lingering from disease or simply a withering away of the body and the weakening of the heart.

One can’t do much about it, one way or the other, so just live the best life you can, and hope or don’t hope that people remember you well.

For me, it matters not in the grand scheme of things, and so I continue to drive on doing the best I can each day, with no other thoughts other than those necessary to create a better life for myself, my family, and my community.

Once death has claimed us, we most likely experience The Big Sleep. We are just gone … and therefore unconscious. The dead person feels no physical pain. Plus, they do not experience emotional longing for the loved ones who live on.

Well, if one is totlly unconscious, as with anasthesia during a surgery, then the “I”, which “I” thought “I” was, effectively no longer exists. What then is the point?

Perhaps as I approach death I would feel more “reassured”, knowing that, even if I were relegated to a harsh purgatory or even if I suffered in hell, at least I would conitnue to exist.

And since nothing can exist outside the Creator’s will, there would be hope.

If you visit the site, and see the video’s, it is obvious the Grassy Knoll is definitely in play as there were two shooters.

IMO: the Twin Towers had previous explosive attacks that were not initiated that sat there for years until the ragheads flew planes into it.

The Israelis are a mystery to me. I had a satellite install job just outside of Tel Aviv. I had an armed female “companion” when I was not on the work site. While off the worksite it would have been easily misinterpreted that we were a romantic couple but with her at 22 years old and me in my early 40’s. That was a great job. I had a knockout brunette taking me to the better restaurants and night spots every night and she picked up the bill. The only drawback was the coffee shop we used was hit by a rocket 3 weeks into the job. We missed it by 20 minutes.
