The Economist’s editor-in-chief, Zanny Minton Beddoes, wrote that global warming would damage a tenth of the world’s residential property by value. They reported that this includes “many houses that are nowhere near the coast. From tornadoes battering Midwestern American suburbs to tennis-ball-size hailstones smashing the roofs of Italian villas, the severe weather brought about by greenhouse-gas emissions is shaking the foundations of the world’s most important asset class.”
Once upon a time, the Economist was a respected magazine. Today, there is no point in advertising there because, clearly, the people who believe these articles are brainwashed and hopeless unless you are pitching green investments that always lose money. Can you imagine that now 10% of all real estate will be damaged by global warming?
The entire problem has infected the media for centuries. Donald Trump did not suddenly invent Fake News. Here is an article from the New York Sun published on September 3rd, 1892. The Sun charged its competitor, the New York World, with “manufacturing news in its own office purporting to be cable news of interviews with prominent scientists in Europe.” The article states it cannot be condemned for it “strikes at the vital point in the character of a newspaper… Of all unfortunate and foolish things a newspaper may do, that of destroying public confidence in itself is most unfortunate and most foolish, and it can accomplish this end in no other way more quickly or more completely than in the matter of ‘fake’ news.”
The first time I heard about corruption in the media was in a GRADE SCHOOL history class in the early to mid-60s. The teacher explained that the media created the Spanish-American War, which manufactured news to sell newspapers. You needed sensationalism to sell newspapers. The Hearst model was all about selling sensationalized stories to sell papers – not necessarily the truth.
The New York Daily Times had significant circulation among conservatives during the mid-19th century since its founder, Henry Jarvis Raymond (1820-1869), was often known as the Godfather of the Republican Party. He became its first Chairman and was elected to the US House of Representatives. Abraham Lincoln, the first Republican President, said: “The Times, I believe, is always true to the Union, and therefore should be treated at least as well as any.”
In August 1896, Chattanooga Times publisher Adolph Ochs (1858-1935) acquired The New-York Times, implementing major changes to its basic structure making it a merchant’s newspaper. At first, Ochs wanted to steer the paper to be the antithesis of the competition like the New York World that was focused on the sensation sales model. Ochs was trying to sell his newspapers to people who wanted real news and information to enable them to invest money. The Wall Street Journal did not begin until 1889. In 1910, Ochs made a political realignment whereby he rejected the Republican Party and moved more progressive as Marxist Socialism became popular. This went to the NY Times, becoming a political agenda.
There is just no more integrity in mainstream media, and when you really look at its history, one can argue it has ALWAYS been about fake news—because fake news sells. They are businesses and, at the end of the day, need a profit. A few decades ago, I asked a major movie producer why all the movies about love projected happily ever after. He said people want to leave the theatre with a smile—not crying. I think that explains the problem. The sad part is the press interprets the First Amendment to mean they are free to twist the truth in any way they like for profit.
It is my sincere desire to provide readers of this site with the best unbiased information available, and a forum where it can be discussed openly, as our Founders intended. Mainstream narrative represents the diametric opposite of truth and reason. This is true of ALL mainstream narrative. Cherry picking what we like from mainstream publishing or media is a luxury ill afforded. We can apply this, that we should all know by now, to our history, and mainstream religion which promises every intention of the Zio Commie elite because it is they who have constructed mainstream religion promising the destruction and enslavement of our planet. May seem redundant to keep coming back to this point. Yet the Conservatives who should be the hope for this nation and the world at large, keep falling back on the idea that the God of the Zio Commie globalists will save us from the Zio Commie globalists. Even quoting segments of the script as if that itself will make things better. Nothing wrong with religion or Gods, so long as the people of the West realize we have our own Gods, serving the interests of life on earth. Which the God of the enemies of all creation promises to enslave and destroy. Which we choose paints a picture of the darkness or light of our souls, and the eternal destination of those souls. And,, will greatly steer the destination of all creation. Let us not reach for the nearest spoon fed mainstream narrative and make more thoughtful choices than the Abrahamic scriptures which have led us to the doorstep of Abrahamic Communism, and the destruction of all.
According to fake news, we all should have been dead in the sixties, seventies, eighties, nineties, two thousands, two thousand tens and two thousand twenties and will be in some soon to come beyond.
Yet we are still all here an functioning normally (except the fake news and the government). Just more fear mongering.
Such fake news comes from the same self appointed chosen people as the scriptures. Thanks for pointing out the parallel.

Its really kind of ironic…first off I believe the Constitution makes the individual the Sovereign,period.
Its funny to hear the “media”scream about its 1A rights while ignoring mine,…. or worse, lying to me.I think one of the biggest stories last week was the two media figures going to congress to testify (complain)about government censoring or controlling THEIR speech,and no media outlets covered it….that’s a HUGE “WHY”?..right there!
The medias role is/was to be a WATCH DOG not a LAP DOG.They are supposed to be on the side of The People not the power!

Interesting, but not surprising.
Long ago, The Economist was an outstanding general publication, at least as compared to drivel like Time and Newsweek, or broadcast news. It’s still pretty good for science topics, but otherwise it is a gigantic steaming pile of fiction, ranging from subtle distortions to flat-out lies.
I’m not a particular fan of Martin Armstrong, but he does humanity a service by pointing out the above. After all, The Economist really is owned by the Rothschilds, and can be regarded as your reliable source of Anti-Truth. Just as National Review really is owned by a ‘married’ homosexual, and can be regarded as your reliable source of Anti-Conservatism.
even back then the main value of the economist was to get a good picture of what the bankster clique was currently pushing or trying to soften up resistance for.. at least back to the early 90s thats the only value it had.

You rarely hear the fact that there are now billions of people living where people never used to live or very few people used to live. At the end of WW2 there were about 2.4 billion people on the planet, now there are over 8 billion. The weather is the same, there are just more people and structures.
