Elon Musk’s Neuralink received approval to begin a six-year trial to study the effects of brain-computer interface (BCI). A specialized surgical robot will be used to implant the devices into participants’ brains. The company’s mission: “Create a generalized brain interface to restore autonomy to those with unmet medical needs today and unlock human potential tomorrow.” Participants in the first trial must have a disability such as blindness, quadriplegia, paraplegia, deafness, or major limb amputation. Permitting those with disabilities to live a normal life seems noble, but Musk has stated he dreams of expanding the Neuralink’s availability to everyone.
From the start of the COVID-19 pandemic, health experts have been unable to unify around a cohesive message about face masks. A virtuoso of contradiction, Dr. Anthony Fauci — then-director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID) and a prominent face of the White House COVID-19 response team — publicly flip-flopped on the usefulness and need for masks multiple times.

This Russell Brand story gets stranger and stranger by the day. Last night it was revealed the a senior MP had written letters to multiple social media companies requesting information on Russell Brand’s income and covertly pressuring them into either demonetizing or removing his accounts.

The news broke when video-hosting platform Rumble posted a screenshot of their letter, along with their official response, on Twitter.
In the letter, Dame Caroline Dinenage MP – chair of the Culture, Media and Sport Committee – requests to know “whether Mr Brand is able monetize his content”, “whether Rumble intends to join YouTube [in suspending monetization]” and what steps they are taking to “ensure that creators are not able to use the platform to undermine the welfare of victims”.

The FOMC met Wednesday and Thursday.
After that meeting, Federal Reserve Chairman Jerome Powell announced that the Fed would (at least momentarily) pause their recent string of interest rate hikes.
This decision surprised almost no one.
An article on CNBC summarized the situation:
The Federal Reserve is likely to skip an interest rate hike when it meets this week, experts predict. But consumers may not feel any relief.
The central bank has already raised interest rates 11 times since last year – the fastest pace of tightening since the early 1980s.
Yet recent data is still painting a mixed picture of where the economy stands. Overall growth is holding steady as consumers continue to spend, but the labor market is beginning to loosen from historically tight conditions.
The Fed’s latest “dot plot” indicates one further interest rate hike before the end of the year. Should that actually happen, we could see another 0.25% increase in rates before the end of the year.

Are you going to believe the government produced statistical mumbo jumbo designed to mislead, misinform, and keep you sedated? Or are you going to believe your own two eyes? No one in their right mind should believe inflation is 3.7%. The CPI is a manufactured number based on false assumptions and massaged to create a happy ending for government bureaucrats and central bankers. It is completely made up by people paid to make their bosses (Biden, Powell) look good.
You can see your grocery store receipt is 40% higher than it was two years ago. The price of beef has doubled, so most people stop buying beef and buy chicken. The BLS uses this in their model to say that beef didn’t really go up 100%, because you switched to chicken. These financial wizards are f**king brilliant!!!
