Here I go with the mask thing again, sorry, but a strange thing is happening with this around the world. It seems that wearing a mask is slowly becoming a sort of natural expectation.

At first, it is showing up arbitrarily, for no particular reason. Maybe people wake up one morning and just say to themselves, “seems like a good day to wear the ol’ face diaper.” Or maybe it is a cold day, and the mask acts like earmuffs for the face. Or maybe, for some people, wearing a decorated mask becomes a fashion statement or a way to show the world who your favourite hockey team is (if their logo is blazoned onto the mask).

Ask a “Masker”?

When you see a “masker,” do you ever feel like asking them why they’re “masking”? The term in air fingers quotes marks to emphasize the absurdity of the practice. Doesn’t everyone know by now that “masks” don’t “work”?

The latter in air fingers quote marks to emphasize the misdirection of that word’s usage. “Masks” obviously do “work” – in the sense that they provide psychological comfort to those who wear them. Else why would they still be wearing them?  Might as well ask why some people are still taking those drugs presented as the vaccines they never were.

How stupid can you get? With masks now BACK, we’re finding out….

Nearly four years later, maybe we should try, though tardily, to shoot this Big Lie down

On the use of masks to block transmission of respiratory viruses, there were those who actually read through the science, while there were many, many more who read “the science” as transmitted by the New York Times and all the rest of “our free press.”

The science that some read—which is to say, more honestly, the science that we read—was, by 2020, readily available in all the randomized, controlled studies of masking carried out in hospitals, all of which had found that masks do not prevent transmission of such viruses. (By early 2020 there were ten such studies, whereas there are now many more, which bolster the conclusion of those ten.) That strong consensus was then reconfirmed by the abundant epidemiological data from states throughout the USA, and countries all around the world. All that data made it clear as day that (1) “COVID” rates were highest where the masking was most prevalent, and (2) those rates started spiking after masking was successfully imposed.

  • Dr. Anthony Fauci is making the media rounds again, saying he hopes people will comply if mask recommendations return
  • In January 2021, the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention ordered the wearing of masks on public transportation. A court order issued in mid-April 2022 ultimately blocked enforcement of the order. So, it has now been legally clarified that the CDC cannot mandate anything. They can only make recommendations, which Fauci also recently confirmed
  • The 2023 Cochrane review of “Physical Interventions to Interrupt or Reduce the Spread of Respiratory Viruses” found masking had no effect on confirmed infection rates. The review also found no difference between medical/surgical masks and N95/P2 respirators

From the start of the COVID-19 pandemic, health experts have been unable to unify around a cohesive message about face masks. A virtuoso of contradiction, Dr. Anthony Fauci — then-director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID) and a prominent face of the White House COVID-19 response team — publicly flip-flopped on the usefulness and need for masks multiple times.

Mask Up and Don’t Ask Questions

Our wise and benevolent liberal overlords, satisfied with how well their exploitation of the covid pandemic went three years ago, have decided to do it all over again since the nonconformists, for all their outrage, never got around to holding them accountable. Not for the lockdowns. Not for the censorship. Not for the toxic injections. Not for shoving infected patients into nursing homes. Not for police brutalizing peaceful citizens. Not for the deaths they caused.

It would not be hyperbole to state they were drunk with power. Power is intoxicating.

They used the panic and the prediction of millions and millions and millions of deaths to suppress well-established rights: the right of assembly, the right to worship, the right of free speech, the right of free press—all selectively applied.

And they did it with glee.

Even more evidence that nobody should wear a face mask

First of all, they don’t work. Second of all, they are detrimental to your health.

I recently updated my Bangladesh study mask article to add two new resources of interest.

A paper published in JAMA in 2019 showed that surgical masks and N95 masks were completely ineffective against the flu. They both offered the same amount of protection, i.e., none. This is of course why nobody wears them to stop a virus. In fact, the surgical mask actually performed slightly better than the N95 mask in the study. How can that be? It’s obvious: both masks offered no protection whatsoever so it was a wash and the differences were simply random.

The Dirty Secret About How Masks Really “Work”

It is difficult to believe that Public HealthTM is trying to force America to mask up again, but here we are.

The question is, why?

The dirty secret is this: Masks don’t work by controlling the virus. Masks work by controlling the people.

If we’re talking about stopping the spread of the virus, masks simply don’t work.

But if we’re talking about stoking fear, instilling blind obedience to state authorities, sowing discord between citizens, and publicly “outing” skeptics and dissidents – in other words, creating an authoritarian, even totalitarian system of public health – then masks work very well indeed.

Fauci just admitted masks don’t work…but why?

A few days ago former White House chief medical adviser Dr Anthony Fauci admitted the evidence supporting mask mandates was weak.

Why would he do this as they appear to be gearing up Pandemic 2.0? Is it a sign Fauci is going to be made a scapegoat? Or is something else going on?

We’ll get to all that. First, here’s the background.

In January of this year the Cochrane Library published the latest edition of “The Cochrane Review on Physical Interventions to Reduce the Spread of Respiratory Viruses”, a regular literature review authored by Dr Thomas Jefferson since its inception in 2006.

Dr Jefferson’s name is likely familiar to anyone who has followed OffG’s Covid coverage, being among the first noteworthy experts to dissent against the establishment consensus on the “pandemic”.

Man Wears Mask To Let People Know He’s Terrible At Risk Analysis

CHICAGO, IL — Local man John Archer has decided to resume wearing a mask in order to let everyone around him know he’s terrible at risk analysis.

“I can’t stress enough how truly awful I am at understanding risks and benefits,” said Mr. Archer. “I just want everyone, even complete strangers, to immediately know that about me.”

Mr. Archer stated that wearing a mask has been a game-changer for communicating his mental deficiency. “It’s really nice that right from the outset, people know a portion of my brain doesn’t function,” said Mr. Archer. “If I immediately set the expectation when I meet someone that my decisions will be devoid of rationality, it isn’t a surprise later on. Watch: Fauci Squirms As CNN Anchor Confronts Him With Data Showing Masks Don’t Work

Anthony Fauci refused to back away from the recommendation of face masks Saturday as CNN (of all networks) confronted him with a study showing that they have no effect on preventing the spread of COVID.

After Fauci claimed “there have been many studies indicate the benefit of wearing masks,” Anchor Michael Smerconish brought up the Cochrane review of masks, one of umpteen studies that have all found that the face coverings do little to nothing against COVID transmission.

“When you’re talking about the effect on the epidemic or the pandemic as a whole, the data are less strong,” Fauci squirmingly admitted, but then went on to suggest people should still wear them anyway.

“There are other studies, Michael, that show at an individual level, for individuals they might be protective,” Fauci claimed.

MIND CONTROL DEVICE

Cloth masks mass produced in China by slave labor were never meant to stop a microscopic virus. It even said it on the box. Fauci laughed at the suggestion masks would stop the virus during an interview in early 2020. The CDC had studies on their site proving masks would not stop a virus.

Making masks mandatory was nothing but an authoritarian measure to make you comply to their demands. They wanted to prove to themselves they could control the ignorant masses through propaganda, fear and threats. It worked like a charm. How about this time? Will you obey and comply?

In a recently obtained letter (pdf) sent in November 2021 to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), top epidemiologist Michael Osterholm, director of the Center for Infectious Disease Research and Policy at the University of Minnesota, and seven colleagues informed the agency it was promoting flawed data and excluding data that did not reinforce their narrative.

INCONVENIENT SCIENCE

It wasn’t about health or saving you from the dreaded flu virus. It was about them flexing their muscles and making you bow to their commands. This pro-mask “study” is why you should NEVER “Trust the Science”

Last week it was reported that the Australian state of Victoria may be considering “permanent” facemask mandates to achieve “zero-Covid”.

Now, we don’t need to get into the personal liberty implications of such a law, or  the near-infinite supply of evidence that masks don’t work to prevent the transmission of respiratory disease.

They don’t work, they never worked. Mandating them was a political move designed to make the fake Covid “pandemic” appear real, and their continued use is a symptom of brainwashing or a by-product of chronic virtue signaling.

The mask debate, such as it was, is over.

No, the only aspect of this development worth talking about is the “evidence” used to support the position – and trust me, the quotes are entirely justified.
