Since ancient times, eclipses and comets have been omens of good and bad events. The Babylonian priests saw the connection between geopolitical events on Earth and the movement of the stars in the heavens and gave birth to astrology. But they also could see the cycles in everything and were rather good at predicting eclipses. They could easily impress the naive public that they possessed the power to make the sun disappear on their command. I’m sure someday Biden will probably still have such fantasies. So, is the Total Eclipse of 2024 an omen of a market crash or World War III?

Have you checked if your hair is on fire today? Here comes an eclipse of the sun. Our moon will cast a totality of its shadow in a path about 100 miles wide arcing from Del Rio Texas to Bangor Maine, with lesser effects outward on each side of the path so that night will seem to fall at mid-day over most of America east of the Big Muddy. This event typically freaks out primitive peoples, and brings out the latent archaic terror even in supposedly civilized minds, reminding us in a powerfully spooky way that the cosmos runs things, not us puny humans.

Could it be possible that history is about to repeat itself?  On April 8th, the Great American Eclipse of 2024 will complete the giant “X” over America that the Great American Eclipse of 2017 started.  Meanwhile, the Devil Comet will be racing through our solar system for the first time in 71 years.  Most of you already know all this.  But what is not widely known is that we have seen this same pattern before.  In 1811, a solar eclipse finished the giant “X” over the heartland of America that a solar eclipse in 1806 had started, and meanwhile Tecumseh’s Comet was making headlines all over the nation as it raced through the heavens.  Approximately three months after the giant “X” over America was completed, cataclysmic earthquakes began erupting along the New Madrid fault.
