If you still haven’t heard of the psychotic violence perpetrated on a high school girl by Senior Deputy Ben Fields, it’s time to get up to speed. If you want a gauge as to how far this society has fallen, this is all you need to see.

First, a little background from the AP:

COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) — A school resource officer in South Carolina is on leave and his boss has asked the Justice Department and the FBI to investigate after a video showed him flipping a female high school student from her desk to the floor and dragging her across a classroom.

The sheriff’s department said no one was hurt during the confrontation, which was captured on cellphones by several students and posted online. One student said it all started when the girl pulled out her cellphone and refused her math teacher’s request to hand it over during class.

During the moments captured on video, Fields can be seen standing over the girl, asking her to stand up. The girl remains seated and the officer wraps a forearm around her neck. The desk then flips and the girl is slammed backward onto the floor, where the officer tosses her toward the front of the classroom and handcuffs her.

A second student who verbally objected to the girl’s treatment also was arrested.

Go ahead and read that again.

New FBI Report Debunks Mythical “War on Police”

Guest Post by Carey Wedler

(ANTIMEDIAThroughout the United States, Americans believe there is a “war on police.” A recent survey found 58% of Americans agree with this sentiment. A new, privately-funded billboard campaign hijacks the “Black Lives Matter” moniker to read “Blue Lives Matter,” highlighting powerful pushback from law enforcement sympathizers against activists.

The FBI’s 2014 report, Law Enforcement Officers Killed and Assaulted (LEOKA), released this week, appears to support the notion that police officers are in danger and unduly targeted. The number of officers killed by individuals committing “felonious acts” jumped from 27 in 2013 to 51 last year, and police apologists are all but guaranteed to point to this increase as proof their concerns are justified. A deeper examination of the data, however, reveals that police are not only safe, but still running rampant in their liberal use of violence against the citizens they allegedly serve.

In 2013, the FBI reported that 27 police officers were killed in the line of duty. By 2014, according to the new data, that number rose to 51. While this seems like a sharp uptick — in fact, it nearly doubled — the comparison on its own is misleading. Out of 536,119 officers included in the FBI’s 2014 analysis, .0095 percent  of the force was killed on the job — less than one percent.  While this represents an increase from the .005 percent of officers killed on the job in 2013 — the safest year for police in decades — neither figure signals an unrelenting assault on police officers.

As the Washington Post explained:

Vampire Cops

Apparently, our money’s not enough.forced blood draw lead 2

They want our blood, too.

You may have heard about this. In Texas – one of America’s, uh, “freest” states – the cops have got the power to throw you over the hood of a cruiser and forcibly extract your blood if you decline to take a Breathalyzer test. After having been forced to stop for no specific reason at a “sobriety” checkpoint. Your refusal to cooperate – that is, to prove your innocence (that’s how it works in America nowadays) to the satisfaction of a cop is all the provocation necessary. Roll down your sleeve.

Or else.

Count (oops, Police Chief) Art Acevedo of the Austin PD wants to expand what had been a “pilot” program – weekends only – to a full time regular operation.

To make this routine. News story here.checkpoint image

Inevitably, other states will follow. Oregon already has. At some point, the Supreme Court will “affirm” the “constitutionality” of these blood draws. Why not? It has already affirmed the “constitutionality” of all sorts of obviously not constitutional practices – including the random and probable cause-bereft stopping of motorists to force them to prove they aren’t guilty of pretty much everything in the motor vehicle code (e.g., you’re forced to prove you have a license, the mandatory insurance, that your car is registered and has all the demanded stickers, that you are buckled up for “safety”, etc.). If these fishing expeditions are reasonable (as demanded by the Fourth Amendment) then what constitutes an unreasonable search?

The Myth of the ‘War on Cops’

The storyline about cops under fire is complete and utter bullshit spewed by the statist press and those who want to further take away you liberties and freedoms. It’s the people who are under fire by the government and their police state thugs who bully, abuse, and shakedown the citizens. The storyline is obliterated below.

If there really is a war on cops, whoever’s fighting it seems to be losing.

With the “war on cops” narrative on the rise again, you might be wondering: When it comes to lethal violence against police officers, how does 2015 stack up against other years? Mark Perry of the American Enterprise Institute took a look at the annual number of cops who died of non-accidental gunshots, as measured by the Officer Down Memorial Page. This year isn’t over yet, obviously, but if the trend thus far continues, 2015’s rate will be higher than 2013’s. It will also be lower than every other year since 1870:

PROTECTING AND SERVING

You probably thought this story would run a bit different.  Of course most Copfuks are assholes who shoot first and ask questions later and abuse traffic laws to raise money for local courts and municipalities, but there are some good ones…

Maryland cop buys food & housing for mother, daughter fleeing domestic violence

© Prince George's County Police Department
A Maryland police officer’s kindness towards a woman fleeing domestic violence with her one-year-old daughter was noticed by his sergeant, captured in pictures and posted on the department’s Facebook page. The post quickly went viral.

As of Monday, the Prince George County Police Department’s Facebook page had received 14,000 likes and more than 1,300 comments regarding Corporal Che Atkinson’s assistance to the mother and child.

I’m a little overwhelmed and shocked. And the reason why is it didn’t seem like a big deal to me because I see other officers do stuff like this all the time,” Atkinson told WUSA 9. “It’s not a big deal.”

It all began last Wednesday morning, when Atkinson noticed a woman sitting in the lobby of the police precinct with a small child and several bags. Atkinson talked to the woman and discovered she had fled domestic violence abuse. She was also homeless.

11-Year-Old Boy Played in His Yard. CPS Took Him, Felony Charge for Parents.

An interview with two parents who lost their kids… over nothing.

Boy

One afternoon this past April, a Florida mom and dad I’ll call Cindy and Fred could not get home in time to let their 11-year-old son into the house. The boy didn’t have a key, so he played basketball in the yard. He was alone for 90 minutes. A neighbor called the cops, and when the parents arrived—having been delayed by traffic and rain—they were arrested for negligence.

They were put in handcuffs, strip searched, fingerprinted, and held overnight in jail.

It would be a month before their sons—the 11-year-old and his 4-year-old brother—were allowed home again. Only after the eldest spoke up and begged a judge to give him back to his parents did the situation improve.

I spoke with Cindy about her family’s horrible ordeal.

“My older one was the so-called ‘victim,'” she said during a phone interview. But since she and her husband were charged with felony neglect, the younger boy had to be removed from the home, too.

Here is the law: “A person who willfully or by culpable negligence neglects a child without causing great bodily harm, permanent disability, or permanent disfigurement to the child commits a felony of the third degree.”

I first heard of Cindy’s case last week when she wrote to me at Free-Range Kids. Her email explained:

The authorities claim he had no access to water or shelter.  We have an open shed in the back yard and 2 working sinks and 2 hoses.  They said he had no food.  He ate his snacks already.  He had no bathroom, but the responding officer found our yard good enough to relieve himself in while our son sat in a police car alone.  In his own yard, in a state,  Florida, that has no minimum age for children to be alone.

Four Swedish Cops on Vacation in NYC Teach the NYPD a Lesson in Humanity

Guest Post by Michael Krieger

We’ve all seen the stats by now. U.S. police killed more citizens in March alone than UK police have killed in 100 years. We’ve seen the plethora of videos documenting unnecessary police brutality. There are so many in fact, I can’t even begin to document them all. We’ve also seen the militarized police in all its ghoulish display in Ferguson.

We’ve seen the wrong way to police in New York City, most recently when an unarmed Eric Garner was choked to death on the street in broad daylight for selling untaxed cigarettes. Now, finally, we see how real policing is supposed to be done, courtesy of four Swedish police officers who were on vacation in NYC.

First, a little background from the Free Thought Project:

New York, NY–  Four Swedish police officers vacationing in New York City were on the subway on Wednesday when a fight broke out. The train operator asked if there were any police riding who could help with the situation.  The Scandinavian patrolmen were very soothing and non-aggressive as they de-escalated the situation instead of escalating it, the way we have seen so often from our own men and women in blue.

TAZE ME BRO

Yet another round of criticism flared up on social media after the release of a video from the Tulsa County, Okla., Sheriff’s Office of a reportedly accidental fatal police shooting of an unarmed man by a reserve deputy.

Eric Harris, who was black, allegedly ran from police after he reportedly tried to sell an undercover officer a semiautomatic pistol in a sting operation and was killed by a 73-year-old white reserve deputy who thought he was firing a Taser gun, according to media reports.

DONUT EATER OF THE WEEK

This actually has a happy ending. It wouldn’t have unless a citizen stood up for their rights.

New York Deputy Slaps Citizen for Not Allowing him to Search Car (Updated III)

Saratoga County Deputy Shawn Glans had no idea he was being recorded as he tried to intimidate a man into allowing him to search his car, which is why he slapped him on the back of his head while yanking the keys out of his hand, tossing them to another deputy who searched the man’s car and found nothing illegal.

But he does know now after Adam Roberts uploaded the video to Facebook where it began going viral Friday.

In a Facebook message interview with Photography is Not a Crime, Roberts explained that he and his buddy, Colin Fitch, who owns the car, had parked it at a business that was closed and walked to a nearby party Thursday night. They didn’t spend much time at the party but when they walked back to the car, they were confronted by deputies who had spotted a rifle in the back seat and wanted to search the car.

Fitch had purchased a .22 rifle earlier that day and had left in the back seat, Roberts said.

When Deputy Glans asked to search the car, Fitch would not give him permission, insisting he had done nothing illegal.

“We’ll get a fucking search warrant, alright,” Glans said. “Wanna do that?””Let me see your fucking keys,” Glans said.

“Why?” Fitch responded.

“I’m going to search your fucking car, that’s why,” Glans replied.

“You can’t do that,” Fitch said.

“Wanna fucking resist?,” Glans said before striking him.

*****

“If you have nothing to hide in there, we’re just going to check and be on our fucking merry way. Understand? Asshole.”

Unfortunately, that slapping part was not caught on video, but the sound of the slap is loud and clear. But he followed it up by making more threats, proving to be the real asshole.

As they were searching the car, Firth showed them his receipt for the gun and they allowed him to leave.

UPDATE: PINAC reader Joseph Grabko dug up the following about Glans:

Screenshot 2014-11-08 02.34.50

UPDATE II: Deputy Glans was suspended without pay, according to a press release from the Saratoga County Sheriff’s Office. Good work, guys.

UPDATE III: The Times-Union reached out to Glans and got him to comment about the incident, saying he would do it all over again – but not if he knew he was being recorded. Not exactly the brightest of the bunch.

Reached Saturday, Glans said there was more to the encounter than is captured on the video.

“You saw the video. It doesn’t look good,” Glans told the Times Union. “I’m all about doing the right thing. I had to go to that point because of the factors that came into play. There was a gun that was involved (that) I spotted in the vehicle.”

Asked if he would have handled the matter the same way again, Glans said he would, but not if he knew it was being filmed. He acknowledged that he did not know the incident was being videotaped.

“I was concerned. It was a public safety issue,” the sergeant said. “If I had to do it all over again … I’d probably do the same thing. If I knew the camera was there, no, because it does look bad.”

Saratoga Deputy Arrested for Slapping Citizen on Video

This is how Policing should work, a police officer steps to far over the line and they end up in Jail and fired.

Not like in NYC with a corrupt Union to keep the bottom of the barrel gang on the force to do more damage, pillaging and destruction ruining the image and name of good Police.

The news was just announced on the department’s Facebook page with the following press release:

Bad Cop, No Doughnut

Shawn Glans’ mugshot

Two days after a video went viral,
showing a Saratoga County Sheriff’s deputy slapping a man because he
did not consent to having his car searched, the deputy was arrested and
jailed by his own department.
Sergeant Shawn Glans, who was placed on unpaid administrative leave,
was also forced to resign in what will probably go down as the quickest
internal investigation in the history of law enforcement.

The news was just announced on the department’s Facebook page with the following press release:

Glans, who has been a law enforcement officer for almost three decades, told the local media that if he had to do it all over again, he would do nothing different – except if he knew he was being recorded.

“You saw the video. It doesn’t look good,” Glans told the Times Union. “I’m
all about doing the right thing. I had to go to that point because of
the factors that came into play. There was a gun that was involved
(that) I spotted in the vehicle.”

Asked if he would have handled the matter the same way again, Glans said he
would, but not if he knew it was being filmed. He acknowledged that he
did not know the incident was being videotaped.

“I was concerned. It was a public safety issue,” the sergeant said. “If I

A Fun List of Ways to be Killed By the Cops

Via Target Liberty

Via WBP:

[A]n unfortunately large number of people who are fully convinced that police brutality and police state America are solely black community issues and white people should mind their own business because these things don’t affect them. Then of course there’s this other large group of people, the “cops are just doing their jobs” and “being a cop is so stressful” and “there isn’t actually a problem, it’s being blown out of proportion” people. I wanted to do something for both these groups of people, to help them see reality, to help them see the absurdity of their positions, and to reinforce my previous post.  Both groups are doing harm to a cause that is ultimately going to decide whether future America will be a free country or not. They need to get back in touch with reality. So, without further adieu, I give you my list…

Things that cops in America will shoot you to death for holding/doing:
