Monkeypox Update – fear porn kicks up a notch as WHO meeting looms

Guest Post by Kit Knightly

We’re only three days removed from our last monkeypox article – We’re “losing the fight against monkeypox”…apparently – and already it’s time for an update.

It’s been a busy two days for the monkeypox madness.

First, the World Health Organization announced their plans to hold a second “emergency meeting” on the monkeypox outbreak, to discuss if it merits being declared a “global emergency”.

As if trying to supply fuel for the WHO’s meeting next week, countries all around the world are reporting up ticks in cases.

Yesterday Global News reported that Canada’s monkeypox cases had “risen by 59% in just 9 days” (from 300 to 477 if you’re one of those people who likes hard figures in place of scary-sounding percentages).

The WHO is changing the name “monkeypox”…is it really because of racism?

Guest Post by Kit Knightly

Yesterday Dr Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, director-general of the World Health Organisation (WHO), announced the WHO was officially changing the name of the monkeypox virus.

This decision was allegedly taken due to “stigmatization” and “discrimination” of the current “inaccurate” name.

I’m not sure how “monkeypox virus” can be an inaccurate name for a virus allegedly found in monkeys that allegedly causes pox, but that is the contention of the “experts” who called for an “urgent name change” in this report from last week.

In the context of the current global outbreak, continued reference to, and nomenclature of this virus being African is not only inaccurate but is also discriminatory and stigmatising,”

Monkeypox narrative keeps on rolling

Via Off-Guardian

Just three days ago we published Kit Knightly’s piece detailing how the monkey pox rollout is mirroring the way the Covid “pandemic” unfolded.

As can always happen with developing stories, even as that article went to press it was behind the times.

In just the last three days other developments have only added to Kit’s argument:

  • In Germany, the vaccine authority has issued guidance recommending the smallpox vaccine Imvanex for those “at risk” of monkeypox.
  • In the UK, the Health Safety Agency has released new self-isolation guidance for people who test positive for monkeypox.
  • The US has ordered a further 500,000 doses of smallpox vaccines.

Monkeypox is following the Covid playbook step by step

Guest Post by Kit Knightly

Monkeypox is back in the headlines as of yesterday, back to work after a short break.

It burst onto the front pages, with concomitant BIG RED NUMBERS and daily case updates a couple of weeks ago, and then went quiet. The press pretty much stopped talking about it.

…until they started again.

Yesterday it was reported that the UK Health Security Agency (UKHSA) has “upgraded” monkeypox to a “notifiable disease”, meaning any positive test must be immediately reported to the government agency.

Ever one for subtlety, the Telegraph’s front page reports this as “monkeypox upgraded to same level as leprosy and the plague”

MONKEYPOX FEAR PORN

Guest Post by Dr. Robert Malone

I keep getting asked the same question again and again; is this outbreak of monkey pox a real threat, or is this another case of overstated and weaponized public health messaging? I am going to save my answer to this question for the end of this article and instead focus on what monkey pox is, the nature and characteristics of the associated disease, what we know and don’t know.

The monkeypox virus, which originates in various regions of Africa, is related to SmallPox (Variola), which are both members of the genus Orthopoxvirus. However, it is important to understand that Variola (major or minor) is the species of virus which is responsible for the worst human disease caused by the Orthopox viruses. For example, Cowpox, Horsepox, and Camelpox are also members of this genus, none of which are a major health threat to humans, and one of which (Cowpox) has even been (historically) used as a Smallpox vaccine. My point is that just because Monkeypox is related to Smallpox, this does not in any way mean that it represents a similar public health threat. Anyone who implies otherwise is basically engaged in or otherwise supporting weaponized public health-related propaganda. In other words, spreading public health fearporn.

Pandemic 2: Monkeypox Madness

Via Off-Guardian

Monkeypox – it’s the hip new disease sweeping the globe. Allegedly appearing almost simultaneously in over a dozen different countries on four different continents.

As we wrote in the early days of the Covid “pandemic”, the only thing spreading faster than the disease is fear.

The media reported the first UK case of monkeypox on the 7th of May. Less than two weeks later, we’re seeing some very familiar headlines. Just like that…Pandemic 2: Monkey Pox!! begins playing at all your favorite fear porn outlets.
