Will NFL Demand Respect for Old Glory?

Guest Post by Patrick J. Buchanan

“America refuses to address the pervasive evil of white cops killing black men, and I will not stand during a national anthem that honors the flag of such a country!”

That is the message Colin Kaepernick sent by “taking a knee” during the singing of “The Star Spangled Banner” before San Francisco ’49s games in 2016. No NFL owner picked up his contract in 2017. But a few players began to copy Colin and to “take a knee.”

Friday night in Alabama, President Trump raged that any NFL player who disrespects Old Glory is a “son of a b—-h” who ought to be kicked off the field and fired by his team’s owner. And if the owners refuse to do their patriotic duty, the fans should take a walk on the NFL.

And so the stage was set for NFL Sunday.

THE STAR SPANGLED BLUNDER

We certainly don’t need Donald Trump to remind us that the charade called professional sports is one big commerical exploitation. That alone should be enough reason not to watch…before you even get to this performance.

And why do they play the National Anthem before every game?

If this clueless moron had the principle and sense to consider that question properly, he would simply walk away from the game. But he doesn’t, because in the end it all boils down to show me the money.

TAKE A KNEE QOTD

Left wing social justice warriors are calling for all NFL players to take a knee today during the National Anthem to protest Trump’s blasting them during his speech on Friday. He sure knows how to push the right buttons to rile up his base and his enemies. Here are my questions:

  1. Will there be a mass kneeling of NFL players today?
  2. If so, how will the overwhelmingly white attendees react? Booing? Silence? Kneeling also?
  3. If there is a mass kneeling event, will fans stop going to games, stop watching games, stop buying NFL merchandise, or start boycotting advertisers of NFL games?
  4. Is this just a purposeful propaganda distraction to keep people from seeing how they are being fucked economically by the government and their Deep State banking partners?

Marx Was Right, Sort Of

Guest Post by The Zman

In the Communist Manifesto, Marx described the periodic crisis of capitalism in terms of “the enforced destruction of a mass of productive forces.” Marx argued that the productive forces unleashed by capitalism eventually get out of hand and the result is excess, thus collapsing the value of the means of production. The capital classes remedy this by enforced destruction of a mass of productive forces, the conquest of new markets, and by the more thorough exploitation of existing markets.

Marx gets blamed for the 100 million or so murders committed in his name, but he did make a few insightful observations. For instance, the nature of business to ruthlessly exploit existing markets in pursuit of growth, even when it becomes self-defeating, is still true today. Similarly, business will bankrupt itself in pursuit of new markets, all in the name of growth. Much of what plagues us these days is the result of global business desperately searching for a new market to exploit. It is also at the heart of what is ailing the NFL.

I Want A Thank You

Guest Post by Zman

News brings word that one of the hyper-violent meat-heads the NFL hires to entertain us on fall weekends is making a nuisance of himself over the custom of playing the National Anthem before games.

San Francisco 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick has willingly immersed himself into controversy by refusing to stand for the playing of the national anthem in protest of what he deems are wrongdoings against African Americans and minorities in the United States.

His latest refusal to stand for the anthem — he has done this in at least one other preseason game — came before the 49ers’ preseason loss to Green Bay at Levi’s Stadium on Friday night.
“I am not going to stand up to show pride in a flag for a country that oppresses black people and people of color,” Kaepernick told NFL Media in an exclusive interview after the game. “To me, this is bigger than football and it would be selfish on my part to look the other way. There are bodies in the street and people getting paid leave and getting away with murder.”

Kaepernick was born to a destitute black white mother¹ in Milwaukee, who put him up for adoption. His father was a deadbeat from the neighborhood. In other words, he was born into the typical black environment, but unlike most black children, he was saved by a nice white couple who adopted him and raised him as their son. This got him into good schools, sports and a middle-class lifestyle. Later, nice white coaches helped him with his sports career, first at college and then in the NFL. Jim Harbaugh made Kaepernick a legitimate NFL player.

FOOTBALL & FAKE PATRIOTISM

Submitted by Mike Krieger via Liberty Blitzkrieg blog,

When the Jets paused to honor soldiers of the New Jersey Army National Guard at home games during the past four years, it was more than a heartfelt salute to the military — it was also worth a good stack of taxpayer money, records show.

The Department of Defense and the Jersey Guard paid the Jets a total of $377,000 from 2011 to 2014 for the salutes and other advertising, according to federal contracts. Overall, the Defense Department has paid 14 NFL teams $5.4 million during that time, of which $5.3 million was paid by the National Guard to 11 teams under similar contracts.

The agreement includes the Hometown Hero segment, in which the Jets feature a soldier or two on the big screen, announce their names and ask the crowd to thank them for their service. The soldiers and three friends also get seats in the Coaches Club for the game.

Like everything else in America, faux patriotism is also for sale.

ADRIAN PETERSON DISCIPLINARY SCHOOL

Here are two points of view regarding Adrian Peterson whipping his four year old son with a tree branch. I was hit by my parents as a child if I did something I wasn’t supposed to do. I was spanked and hit with a belt a couple times. After that, the threat of the belt was good enough to make me fall into line. The nuns in Catholic school would also hit kids with a ruler. None of this left psychological scars. I usually deserved it.

But, Adrian Peterson went too far. I was hit with a belt when I was 10 years old, not when I was 4 years old. The pictures of the cuts and bruises on his son’s body are proof that his form of punishment was sadistic and cruel. He clearly has anger issues that stem from his own childhood, when he was probably abused. Charles Barkley says it’s a cultural thing in the South. He’s wrong. Hitting a four year old so hard that you break the skin is going too far. Boomer is right. Peterson deserves a severe penalty. Maybe Goodell will make him sit out for a half a game.

Adrian Peterson Indicted For Child Abuse, Turns Himself In

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – A warrant was issued Friday for the arrest of Vikings running back Adrian Peterson after a grand jury in Texas indicted him for reckless or negligent injury to a child.

Peterson traveled to Texas and turned himself in early Saturday morning. He was booked into the Montgomery County Jail at about 1:15 a.m. CST, according to the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office.

He posted a $15,000 bond and left jail about 30 minutes later.

Peterson will not play in Sunday’s game at TCF Bank Stadium against the New England Patriots. On Friday afternoon, the Vikings said Peterson had been deactivated. That’s different from a suspension, as Peterson will be still be paid as officials investigate.

Sports Radio 610 in Houston obtained a draft of the police report which says Peterson admitted that he did, in his words, “whoop” one of his children last May while the child was visiting him at his home near Houston.

The punishment happened after Peterson’s son pushed another of Peterson’s children off of a motorbike video game, the report says.

During a Skype session with his mom back in Minnesota, the 4-year-old boy asked if he could tell her something. According to the report, Peterson said, “Go ahead and tell her and show her what happened.”

The boy said he got a whooping with a switch — a wooden rod or tree branch used for punishment.

When the boy returned to his mother in Eden Prairie, Minn., she took him to a doctor.

The doctor told investigators that the boy had a number of lacerations on his thighs, along with bruise-like marks on his lower back and buttocks and cuts on his hand.

The police report says the doctor described some of the marks as open wounds and termed it “child abuse.” Another examiner agreed, calling the cuts “extensive.”

The report also states the four year-old had been hit with a belt, and that Peterson put leaves in the boy’s mouth while he was being hit with the switch with his pants down. The child told his mother Peterson likes belts and switches and has a whooping room, according to the report.

Photographs obtained from the Houston police report show pictures of the injuries.

The police report also includes text messages between Peterson and the boy’s mother. First he texted to her: “You will be mad at me about his leg.” Later, he texted: “He got about five more pops than normal. He didn’t drop one tear! … He’s tough as nails.”

In further text messages, Peterson allegedly said, “Never do I go overboard! But all my kids will know, hey daddy has the biggie heart but don’t play no games when it comes to acting right.”

When investigators questioned Peterson, they say he told them he regarded it as a normal spanking and not excessive. He told investigators, “To be honest with you, I feel very confident with my actions because I know my intent,” and when asked if he would reconsider using switches in the future, said he would never “eliminate whooping my kids … because I know how being spanked has helped me in my life.”

A grand jury seated earlier this summer decided not to charge Peterson.

Montgomery County Prosecutor Phil Grant said in a press conference Saturday afternoon that after seeing photos of the injuries, the grand jury thought Peterson went beyond “reasonable discipline.”

“Obviously parents are entitled to discipline their child as they see fit except for when that discipline exceeds what the community would say is reasonable,” he said.

Grant also said whoever leaked the photos and documents will face punishment.

“In the State of Texas, investigations of child abuse are confidential under the Texas Family Code,” Grant said. “It’s inappropriate, it shouldn’t have happened, and we’re going to cooperate with law enforcement authorities to find out who did it.”

Grant added that the case is in its preliminary stages, and it will likely be several months until its ready for trial — which might not be until next year.

On Friday, Peterson told WCCO-TV’s Mike Max that he didn’t think he’d face another indictment. The day’s developments caught him by surprise.

If Peterson is convicted, he could face up to two years in county jail. His next court appearance date has not been announced.

Peterson’s attorney, Rusty Hardin, issued this statement Friday afternoon:

“This indictment follows Adrian’s full cooperation with authorities who have been looking into this matter. Adrian is a loving father who used his judgment as a parent to discipline his son. He used the same kind of discipline with his child that he experienced growing up in east Texas. Adrian has never hidden from what happened. He has cooperated fully with authorities and voluntarily testified before the grand jury for several hours. Adrian will address the charges with the same respect and responsiveness he has brought to this inquiry from its beginning. It is important to remember that Adrian never intended to harm his son and deeply regrets the unintentional injury.”

The NFL recently unveiled a domestic-violence policy, which stipulates a six-game suspension for a first offense but allows for steeper penalties if children are involved.

The indictment against Peterson comes on the heels of another story involving an NFL running back and serious allegations.

On Monday, the league indefinitely suspended Ravens running back Ray Rice after video was published showing the player punching his soon-to-be wife and knocking her out cold.

NFL IS A JOKE

Video of this thug dragging his unconscious girlfriend out of an elevator led the NFL commissioner to suspend this asshole for 2 lousy games. You get that for an illegal hit in a game. How did the commissioner think she became unconscious? This creep had a $35 million contract, with a $15 million signing bonus.

Now the video of him knocking out his woman has convinced the team and the NFL to finally take action in order to appear tough. Why isn’t this scumbag in a jail cell? The hypocrisy of the NFL is breathtaking. His indefinite suspension will eventually be lifted and some team will pay this piece of shit millions. He will be hiring a public relations firm to rejuvenate his reputation. He will pretend to get counseling, act remorseful, go on The View, make a massive donation to a battered woman’s shelter, and marry his sweatheart.
