TRAGEDY STRIKES AGAIN

I will be off-line for the rest of the day. We will be burying my second nephew to die far too soon in the last year. Unexpected, unforeseeable deaths of young people is far tougher to comprehend than when our parents or grandparents pass away. The Romano family has had to bear too much tragedy in the last few years. But, we’ll go on and help each other make it through. Don’t take your family for granted. You never know when tragedy will strike. Hug your kids. Call your mom. Reconcile with siblings. Celebrate Thanksgiving with all your heart. Steve was a great guy. He endured a lot of pain without a complaint. We’ll miss him dearly.

Steven A. Romano Jr, 37, of Norristown, went to be with the lord on Friday, November 3, 2017. Steven was born in Philadelphia on April 10, 1980 and is the beloved son of Steven A. Sr. and Deborah (Hendricks) Romano. He was Michael and Heather’s big brother.

Steve enjoyed playing all sports, shooting pool, coaching and mentoring. He coached Norristown A.A. senior legion baseball, Pope John Paul II High school baseball, golf, and numerous little league baseball and football teams.

He was an avid Philadelphia sports fan. Steve’s true passion was his family, and watching movies with his mommy. He is also survived by his grandmother Gloria “Cookie” Romano, and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. Preceded in death by his grandparents Raymond R, and Doris J (Pisano) Romano, William and Francis (Cottetta) Hendricks, Sister in Law Jennifer (Dayoc) Romano and his cousin Steven W. Romano Jr. Steve loved his niece and nephews Michael Jr., Leah, Jason, Cameron, Ke’Von and John.
