MERRY CHRISTMAS TO TBPers AROUND THE WORLD

I’ve been scrambling across Montgomery County this morning picking up the multitude of food orders my wife made for our annual Christmas eve shindig. Most of her family, some of my family and neighbors will be shuffling in and out from 3:00 pm until past midnight. We expect at least 40 people. At least 4 cases of beer will be consumed, multiple bottles of wine and significant amounts of rum, vodka and whiskey. My wife had the bright idea to order half the food from Wegman’s in Collegeville and the other half from Corropolese Bakery in Norristown. The parking lots were like madhouses.

NUDGE, NUDGE, WINK, WINK

As you may or may not have noticed I have added a new advertiser to replace Amazon. They are called MyFinance. Sadly, none of their ads have boobs. Their ads are under every post and the Savings Rate and Mortgage Refinance ads on the sidebar are theirs. It wouldn’t be the worst thing in the world if you checked out their ads on a regular basis to help old TBP pay the bills. Nudge, nudge, wink, wink. If you get my drift. Stucky’s New Strategy of LOVE

BACKGROUND

Wow. My innocent question of the day generated more heat than light. An epic Shitfest worthy of days of yore.  Smokey is smiling in heaven. Name calling reigned supreme. Bad words flowed like a raging river from both antagonists; the Unholy Trinity (Zara, bb, and Yojimbo) and we, the Righteous Ones. I threatened to take a hiatus. Yet again. There is a rift in The Burning Platform time-warp continuum. It brings tears to my eyes. Sniffle, sniffle.

THE OLD STRATEGY

The Unholy Trinity has been posting anti-Semitic propaganda for years now. The Righteous Ones employed several strategies to combat this plague. We suffered in silence. We reasoned with the unreasonable. We begged for a ceasefire. We pleaded for Divine intervention from one known as “Admistrator”. But, alas, it was all for naught, as the forces of evil always march inexorably forward, their ears covered to the Pleadings of the Innocent.

WHAT TBP MEANS TO ME

With all the turmoil in the last few weeks over websites, censorship, free speech, and leftist tech corporations banning sites they don’t like, I thought it would be a good time to clarify my vision and purpose for The Burning Platform. First, TBP is not an alt-right, white supremacist or pro-nazi website. I also don’t consider it a pro-Republican website. It’s been built by being anti lots of stuff. I don’t want to be part of any group that would have me as a member.

TBP Candidate? Or not?

Carol Sue Kirken, a 75 year-old, wealthy grandmother from Michigan was killed recently by a hippo while on a safari in Tanzania. The article I read gave absolutely zero details about how this tragedy occurred. None.

Predictably, most of the people who commented on the article asked the same questions. Did she not know that hippos are the most dangerous mammals on Earth and kill an average of 3,000 people annually? How did she ever get too close to the killer hippo in the first place? Where were the safari guides when this happened and what security protocols were used for all members of the safari? Pretty reasonable questions.

Then there was this comment from BozoPolitics, which I found to be outrageously funny and just about as politically incorrect as you can get. He would be an ideal candidate for membership in the TBP community. What do you think?

BozoPolitics said, “I’ve had some hippos chase me out of some bars late at night…..if I’d have fallen they would’ve probably gotten me….. Whew!”

I was so disappointed when TBP didn’t make this cunt’s first “fake news” website list. I guess we’ve ramped up our game, because we now make the list. If you want a comprehensive list of websites that are not spewing Deep State approved propaganda, disguised as “real news”, you should checkout these websites. The entire “fake news” meme used by the mainstream media has completely backfired, as normal people capable of thinking for themselves always gravitate to the truth. TBP tells the truth – and truth is treason in an empire of lies. Fuck Melissa Zimdars and whoever is funding her fake news bullshit.

TBP – WHERE EVERYONE KNOWS YOUR ALIAS

I was thinking about how to ask for support for TBP without sounding like a greedy bastard. I hate these posts. Other sites ask for support on a monthly basis. Last year I tried to get away with one post in April, but without more regular reminders, the donations dried up as the year went on. So I had to do a second late in the year – and the response was overwhelming. You fine folks donated $17,000 to help keep TBP fighting.

I set the goal at $16,000 for 2017 and decided to take Francis Marion’s advice and do a quarterly post. So that makes it an even $4,000 per quarter to achieve the goal. You would think TBP’s 33% increase in visitor counts over last year might translate into more support. Evidently, the new visitors are really poor or really tight with a dollar. With just over two weeks left in the quarter, we’re really not close to $4,000.

I was thinking about how to describe TBP in a humorous manner and last night Cheers popped into my mind. It was one of my favorite shows during my early twenties. I loved the goofy camaraderie and funny characters. You have to admit, TBP has many of the same characteristics. There is no doubt Stucky is Norm – the funny, sarcastic, lovable, rapscallion who stirs the drink on TBP. I guess I’m Sam (we’re both bald, but I don’t wear a piece) We have dozens of Cliff Clavin’s who know it all. We also have dozens of goofy characters like Coach and Woody.

We have a big dysfunctional family and it has the feel of sitting around a bar, busting balls, telling stories, and pontificating on what’s wrong with world outside our little oasis. It keeps me entertained and distracted from the propagandized world outside.

TBP set a visitor record yesterday with 51,000 visitors. It seems Fourth Turning articles really draw a crowd. That means your comments are getting a much broader viewership. It seems TBP has made another leap to a new level. Up until November 4th the daily visitor count was about 23,000. This was up from 17,000 in the previous year and 13,000 in the year before that. Since November 4th the daily visitor count has surged to 36,000 per day.

Alexa is a service that ranks websites from around the world. TBP is now the 13,915 most popular site in the U.S. and 94,762 most popular site in the world. For some perspective, back in July TBP was around 60,000 in the U.S. and 180,000 in the world.

I think the election, TBP’s relentless search for the truth, great articles from contributors and great commentary from the regulars are the reason for the surge in visitors. Not bad for a half assed “fake news site”.

The previous all-time high in visitors for a month was 760,000. At the current pace we have a shot at 1,000,000 visitors in November. Let’s do this!!!!


TBP IS STILL FREE

It was exactly two years ago when my wife and I had the opportunity to meet David Stockman and his wife in NYC. I documented the experience in my article UNEASY IN NYC. After writing articles for the last eight years, I forget about them as I move on to the next subject matter. After re-reading it this morning, I was pretty impressed by my writing and my sense of humor. I found myself laughing at my own stuff.

David had just started his own website and had asked me to be a regular contributor. Over the last two years he has posted dozens of my articles on his site. At the time, my visitor counts were slightly higher than his. But, he is a world renowned financial mind, so it was just a matter of time until his site went soaring far above TBP. He basically wrote one major article per day, while posting the work of 20 or 30 other bright financial minds per day.

I love his articles and the articles of his like minded contributors. I would go there every day to find stuff to re-post on TBP. David and his wife asked about the business aspects of my site. I told them I made virtually nothing from the site. I didn’t require registration and emails to make comments. I had a full-time job and was running the site as a way for my voice to be heard. I could tell they were looking at his site as a potential money making venture.
