Hi, GOP: You Are Terrible and Obamacare Jr. Stinks

Guest Post by Kurt Schlichter

When Paul Ryan and his congressional clown car of alleged conservatives surprised us by just sort of dropping Obamacare Jr. on us, I wasn’t surprised to see them trip all over their Guccis during the utterly inept roll out. These nimrods couldn’t effectively communicate to Elizabeth Warren with smoke signals. But even I was shocked at how transcendently crappy their proposed Obamacare replacement is. Let me put it this way: the only thing that steaming pile of failure would be good for is as the key prop in a very specialized, niche German porno film.

Seriously, how many times do we have to tell you? Obamacare must die. Kill it dead – with fire!

7 Obamacare failures that have hurt Americans

The Affordable Care Act never would have been passed had Congress known how it would develop

Obamacare barely passed Congress in 2010. If people had known how it would develop, the health-care act would likely never have become law.

Back in 2009, when the law was proposed, and in 2010, when it was signed, the Affordable Care Act’s (ACA) proponents were giddy with optimism. Proponents proclaimed the many promises of Obamacare. Millions of people would be enrolled by 2016. The number of uninsured would decline dramatically. Health-care costs and premiums would drop. Everyone would have coverage. The federal deficit would decrease. Of course, as President Obama promised, everyone would be able to keep their plans and their doctors.

The truth has turned out to be very different. That’s why all Republican candidates say they want to repeal the program. Here are seven things about Obamacare that turned out to be very bad.

FED EX F**KS UP

I ordered a gift from Kohl’s on December 12. It still hasn’t arrived. According to the tracking info, it went to Fed Ex on December 14. It went from Durham NC to Kernersville NC to Lewisberry PA to Allentown PA over the next week. It appears that on the 22nd Fed Ex threw in the towel and gave the package to the US Postal Service. The delivery date is still pending. Fed Ex is fucked up.

‘The worst delivery service ever’: FedEx admits it has missed THOUSANDS of Christmas deliveries to the outrage of parents across America

  • FedEx will not deliver thousands of presents on time for Christmas Day
  • It blamed too many last-minute orders and bad weather for the delays
  • Furious parents blasted FedEx for spoiling their children’s Christmas
  • Some late deliveries will take place in limited areas on December 25

Millions of children across America will rush down their stairs on Christmas morning to find a pile of presents waiting for them under their trees.

But for thousands of families there will be less gifts than they planned – after FedEx admitted it did not make all of its scheduled deliveries on time for the big day.

With just hours to go until Christmas, the delivery service admitted defeat, infuriating scores of customers whose festive plans are now ruined.

Spending Was At An All Time Low For Black Friday And Corporations Lost Billions

Heres-Why-Americans-Should-Rename-Thanksgiving-to-Black-Friday-Eve

For years, Black Friday brawls and rampant materialism on the day after Thanksgiving have become a sort of twisted American celebration. However, each year the excitement continues to die down as people reject the Black Friday antics and instead do their shopping online or on other days. According to a survey by the National Retail Federation, Black Friday attendance was down over 3%, from 58.7% last year to 55.1% this year.

The survey noted that the average shopper was expected to spend $380.95, which was down from $407.02 the previous year. According to the group’s estimates, sales slipped from $57.4 billion to $50.9 billion.

“A strengthening economy that changes consumers’ reliance on deep discounts, a highly competitive environment, early promotions, and the ability to shop 24/7 online all contributed to the shift witnessed this weekend,” NRF president and CEO Matthew Shay said in a statement.

People have begun to change how they feel about Black Friday, with some deciding to support local businesses instead of large corporations, and others deciding to take the day off. As we reported earlier this month, outdoor and sporting goods store REI gave their employees a paid day off on Black Friday, urging them to spend a day out in nature.
