In Order To Make America Great Again, Does Donald Trump Need To Sit Out 2024?

VIA THE BLUE STATE CONSERVATIVE

Despite being the only Republican candidate who could have won in 2016, he is currently (in my mind, at least) the only one who could lose in 2024.

I am a big picture guy. For my money, Donald Trump’s presidency was greatest not for the many policies he enacted, but because of what he represented. I have the words to back it up; in the aftermath of the 2020 election I wrote that “Win Or Lose, Trump Saved America.” I still stand by every word. The movement Trump inspired – arguably one of the greatest conservative revivals in American history – was born of his justified hostility to the corporate media, unabashed love of country, and general fearlessness. He alerted us to the evils of a propagandist media and cocooned D.C ruling class. Jeb wasn’t going to defeat Hillary, let alone spill in the beans on a Bush-family gravy train.

The Orange Hobson’s Choice

Guest Post by Eric Peters

It’s now less than three years until the next presidential (s)election. Will the president who wasn’t (s)elected last time run, again?

It appears that he will.

If he does, it will present us – those of us who do not want four more years of this year – with a Hobson’s Choice. The term refers to accepting what’s available – or nothing at all.

Possibly, something worse.

Trump Rising

Trump Rising

The polls, which I trust as far as I can throw Michael Moore, are showing something interesting beyond the fact that crusty President Badfinger has fallen and can’t get up. According to Rasmussen, in a head-to-empty-head contest between President Trump and that desiccated old weirdo, Trump has a 10-point edge. He’s 12-points over Kamala, who will probably run in 2024 since * is likely to be sent off to a farm upstate with Major the Dog.

So, does this mean Trump will run in 2024?

Well, it sure as heck makes it more likely.

A True Conservative’s Perspective Regarding 2024 and Trump

trump and 2024

This Picture Is From the Trump Rally in Wellington, Ohio on June 26th 2021. And I Couldn’t Agree More:

trump and 2024

“Hillary Belongs in Prison”, “Joe Belongs In A Nursing Home” And Prison I might add, and technically, given what we know about the STOLEN 2020 Election, “Trump Belongs In The White House”.

However, while Trump is 1000 times better than Biden, he still governed like a Liberal Republican or a Conservative Democrat too much to suit me, especially when one looks at his weak defense of the Second Amendment and the Fourth Amendment, and his miserable deal that replaced NAFTA.

Republicans Are Questioning Whether They Want Trump Again

Guest Post by Kurt Schlichter

Republicans Are Questioning Whether They Want Trump Again

There are rumblings out there, rumblings that have increased noticeably in recent weeks, that maybe it’s time to say “Thanks” to President Trump for his yeoman service and move on. It’s nothing personal, just business – everyone appreciates the president’s accomplishments, most notably his taking a sledgehammer to the garbage bipartisan establishment and its media toadies. But we need to win next time. Up until lately, it seemed like the base was all-in on the Donald pulling the full Grover Cleveland and returning in 2024 to vanquish noted border-avoider Kamala Harris, since it’s pretty obvious that the Asterisk is not going to stagger over the four-year finish line. Yet cons are now clearly considering their options.

Is Trump Really the Answer?

Guest Post by Paul Craig Roberts

In 2016 I predicted that Trump’s presidency would fail, because Trump had no idea who to appoint to his government and, therefore, would end up staffed with the establisment that he intended to overthrow.  That is exactly what occurred.

In his entire four years Trump only made one good appointment—General Flynn—and Trump did not have the wits to stand by him.

Trump Eyes 2024 Run Without Mike Pence: Report

Via ZeroHedge

Former President Donald Trump is telling allies he’s seriously considering a run for president in 2024, but may do so without former Vice President Mike Pence on hist ticket, according to Bloomberg, citing ‘people familiar with the discussions.’

On Sunday, Trump all but announced at the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) that he was running again – while privately, according to two of Bloomberg‘s anonymous sources, he’s discussed “alternatives to Pence as he takes stock of who he believes stood with him at the end of his term and who didn’t.”

Trump — Once and Future King?

Guest Post by Pat Buchanan

Trump -- Once and Future King?

There is a specific Trumpian agenda, with which he is alone associated, that is becoming the issues agenda of the conservative movement and the party base, if not the party elites.

“I don’t know if he’ll run in 2024 or not. But if he does, I’m pretty sure he will win the nomination.”

So says Mitt Romney, the sole Republican senator to have voted twice to convict President Donald J. Trump of impeachable acts.

But is it possible Trump could win the nomination in 2024?

What does history teach us about Republican presidents who, after losing the White House, come back to win it again?

Well, to be frank, there is no such history.

Is the Establishment Still Terrified of Trump?

Guest Post by Pat Buchanan

Is the Establishment Still Terrified of Trump?

The establishment fears that Trump could make a comeback, win the Republican primaries in 2024, become the nominee, and return in triumph as president. They are determined to abort that possibility. Many openly admit it.

As soon as the Senate received the lone article of impeachment accusing President Donald Trump of “incitement of insurrection” in the Jan. 6 mob assault on the Capitol, Rand Paul rose to object.

The Senate, he said, has no right to try a private citizen, which Trump now is. Thus, what we are about to do is flatly unconstitutional.

Forty-five of 50 Republican members agreed with Paul’s motion.

“This vote indicates it’s over. The trial is all over,” said Paul. “If you voted that (the Senate trial is) … unconstitutional, how in the world would you ever vote to convict somebody for this?”

Consistency says you would not.
