In 2016 I predicted that Trump’s presidency would fail, because Trump had no idea who to appoint to his government and, therefore, would end up staffed with the establisment that he intended to overthrow. That is exactly what occurred.
In his entire four years Trump only made one good appointment—General Flynn—and Trump did not have the wits to stand by him.
Trump’s Justice Department appointments were the worst imaginable. It is hard to imagine worst appointments than Sessions, Barr, Rosenstein, and Wray. It took Trump forever to get rid of Obama’s Comey, only to appoint an even worse FBI director—Christopher Wray.
Wray repeatedly stabbed Trump in the back, as did Barr and Rosenstein, thus solidifying his position with the Establishment. Yesterday Wray told the US Senate that only Trumpers were responsible for the January 6 “riot,” and that there was no involvement of Antifa and trouble-makers pretending to be Trump supporters. Wray told this lie despite the fact that the FBI has arrested Antifa activist John Sullivan who repeatedly exhorted Trump supporters to enter the Capitol. Even the anti-Trump Washington Post acknowledged the fact:
“Sullivan repeatedly exhorted rioters to enter the building and overwhelm police, and seemed to convince Capitol Police officers to walk away from the glass door entry to the House Speaker’s Lobby, his video shows. Is Wray senile or simply out of the loop within the bureau that he heads? Perhaps Wray regards the Senate as too tame to complain.
Like every Washington bureaucrat, Wray’s main interest is in building his empire. He lied to the US Senate that domestic terrorism has been metastasizing for years. January 6 is not an isolated event, declared Wray. More is on its way, and the FBI, of course, needs a bigger budget.
Wray told the Senate that the FBI regards the Trump “rioters” as domestic terrorists. Even their friends and relatives are turning them in to the FBI, and the FBI is arresting them as fast as it can. In other words, America approves of the FBI labeling Trump supporters—but not Antifa and BLM rioters—domestic terrorists. It is OK to burn down a business, but not to enter the Capitol.
And this is the person Trump made Director of the FBI.
A majority of Republicans support Trump for president in 2024. But would it be any different in a second Trump term? Probably not. Trump has surely learned much about Washington. But where would he get non-establishment people with whom to create a government, and how could he get them confirmed in office by the Establishment Senate? Fat chance.
Trump is a populist, but the country is too far gone for that. A revolutionary is required, and the revolutionaries are all on the anti-white woke left.

Lot of truth here. Trump is a smart guy but he is not a career politician. He failed to grasp just how corrupt
and untrustworthy EVERYONE on BOTH sides of the aisle were. With RARE exception ( off hand the only ones he was able to trust were Dr. Ben Carson and his Press Secretary McEnany) everyone in his administration back stabbed him because they were all swamp creatures. If he had chosen his staff and cabinet more wisely he could have accomplished so much more.
I have yet to see any evidence of Trump displaying intelligence. If it was there, I think I would have spotted it by now.
He’s a billionaire married to a supermodel. He grabbed the GOP nomination away from a dozen career politicians AND beat Clinton in 2016. YOU have done NOTHING even remotely close to those levels of accomplishment. Trump has PROVEN by his accomplishments he is a very smart person. YOU must PROVE you have ever accomplished anything that matters……

You leave out the part of Trump getting a $450 Million head start from his daddy. With $450 million most of us here could bag a supermodel and buy some real estate. Winning the Presidency was a result of Trump’s brashness – so he gets credit for that.
450 million is a long long way from the fortune he eventually built. Most people that inherit that much money squander it rather than grow it to the tune of 2000 times its original value

Another angle is he has quality people as friends, doesn’t smoke or drink.
He has a hot, yet elegant wife, who brought excitement and charm back to the White House. I was always proud of Melania, but she was a true American First Lady when she draped that Medal around Rush Limbaugh’s neck. I could look at that image for hours.
He had the right Platform and those were all good things; I wish he could have stayed on that track and not been secretly in the ZOGs pocket all along and then run out (as planned?) on the Patriots fighting to stop the communist take over. All the good he did in 4 years was undone in the last month when he went yellow belly or traitor and gave the country to the communist coup without lifting a glove in the countries defense.

Trump has to be stupid or incompetent to have done what he did, or what he did was what he intended, stick with crooks and jews and losers. Considering his background, and all the things that were in his power that he only talked about, I think it’s the second.

I remember an article early in 2016 about what politician he emulated. Some lesser known representative, but he stole his whole campaign strategy and rhetorical direction from that guy, and I have never found the article again. I don’t think Trump ever really understood what he was talking about at his rallies. I only attended one and watched a couple others.

I am curious why it is inconceivable that we voted for Trump twice and are still very disappointed in him.

Rather than criticize President Trump for his appointee choices ask the question who brought them to him in the first place. Be honest about the fact that the entire established Cabal of Corruption was against Trump from the get go and yet he prevailed and won the election with the AMERICAN people’s support. Most of the comments here have Trump as a Messiah or Devil. I never saw him as either. He was what he was, a man. My take away from the article: there is no organized counterforce to those enslaving us as we speak. Ergo, there is no “civil war” structure, which requires opposing forces. It appears that we are all sheep being corralled, whether we like it or not. This is about power, and there is really only one side accumulating it and using it.

The AG appointment was critical and he did not need to appoint a Washington insider like Sessions. What you need is a real wing man to protect your interests and defend against the kind of attacks that Trump was subject too. All recent Presidents have done this. The notion put forth by the left that the AG should be independent of the President is a bit disingenuous given who Demoncrats have put in charge at DOJ.
