The big glossy style magazines have gone all in with their commitment to lower the standards of journalism to the point that anyone could write anything and as long as it fulfilled some part of the agenda and they will publish it.

The basic premise is this: You peons are going to have to start eating Soylent Green, like it or not.
I don’t think that writers have an obligation to know everything about their subject matter, but they have a responsibility to at least be curious about it. That rarely happens any longer. If you are writing a piece on a future world where all of our proteins come from a laboratory rather than from Nature, shouldn’t we wonder about some of the consequences of such a radical departure from evolutionary history?
