Obama Said NRA Lied

While driving home today, I heard Obama talk about how the NRA lied and lobbied to stop the gun control bill from passing. He talked about how the politicians were playing politics (imagine them doing that!). He said it was shameful that the bill did not pass.

But the thing that most enraged me was that he talked about how the people of America wanted the bill to pass, and that 90% of Democrats and 80% of Republicans wanted the bill to pass. He said there was no known or real reason that such a bill would not pass.

He calls the NRA liars and has the unmitigated gall to say that over 85% of the American people wanted that bill passed. The hypocrisy of the man knows no bounds. How the American people could ever elect such an incompetent, ethically-challenged individual is beyond my ken.

I think the wheels are starting to fall off. He’s pissed that five democrats also voted against the bill.
How dare they………

Anybody see this? http://news.yahoo.com/top-dem-sees-train-wreck-obama-health-law-165221411–politics.html

“WASHINGTON (AP) — A senior Democratic senator who helped write President Barack Obama’s health care law stunned administration officials Wednesday, saying openly he thinks it’s headed for a “train wreck” because of bumbling implementation.

“I just see a huge train wreck coming down,” Senate Finance Committee Chairman Max Baucus, D-Mont., told Obama’s health care chief during a routine budget hearing that suddenly turned tense.

Baucus is the first top Democrat to publicly voice fears about the rollout of the new health care law, designed to bring coverage to some 30 million uninsured Americans through a mix of government programs and tax credits for private insurance that start next year. Polls show the public remains confused by the complexity of the law, and even many uninsured people are skeptical that they will be helped.”

I posted a recent Gallup poll under the Quote of the Day. It shows only 4% of the population think gun control is a major issue. In contrast, 24% say the Economy is their top concern; 18% say it’s Jobs.

You do not have to be racist to be an idiot. I couldn’t agree more. Generally, you just have to be a politician.

April 19, 1775 the Redcoats marched to Concord to take the arms and ammunition from the people. If it wasn’t for the guns and guts of the patriots that day, there would be no USA today. Viva the vote today and viva the 2nd amendment which protects us and our constitution. This sitting president needs to leave office ASAP. I don’t like him because of his color and that color is RED!

Anybody know if this bill mandated the UN to step into the US for gun ‘control’? If so what would international cops be called? Might be just what the doctor ordered for our 130 million armed americans. hmmm. Just a rumor until verified!

I have not found the bill number in order to look up the wording.

But times have changed.

http://lexington.patch.com/articles/marathon-bombing-could-disarm-muster-on-the-battle-green

Police in Lexington confirmed Tuesday that town officials are in conversations with organizers of the Gun Rights Across America: Massachusetts rally planned for this Friday, April 19 about how the Boston Marathon bombing will impact the event. Further, the Board of Selectmen—the permitting authority on rallies like this—have called an “emergency meeting” for 6 p.m. tonight, April 16, at the Town Office Building and items on the agenda include:

Suspension of Permitted Activities on the Battle Green and Tower Park
Moratorium on Future Permits for the Battle Green and Surrounding Public Areas and Tower Park

The Battle Green is the old town common in Lexington on which the first shots of the American Revolution were fired the morning of April 19, 1775, when local farmers took up arms against the British Regulars who were marching out to Concord.

More here:

“The “emergency meeting” assembled at 6:00PM but turned out to be a smoke and mirror show. The Lexington Patch reported that the permits have been revoked at 3:22PM April 16th. That is 2 hours and 38 minutes before it got voted on.”

Polls, schmolls.

If people were asked, “Do you favor Universal Background Checks on firearm purchases so that Federal Government agents would have permanent lists of every gun owner and every gun they legally own?” then we’d see only the hardest core leftist (statist, collectivist) nutjobs giving a thumbs-up.

“Universal Background Checks” are code words for REGISTRY, and history informs us that registration is always followed, even if it takes a couple decades, by confiscation. The cretins who rule are never satisfied, never static.

Human beings are largely idiots. They see the world as it is, and having no grasp at all of the changes through history to date, cannot imagine that the future could be any different than the present.

Who in Germany, Russia, China, Cambodia, Rwanda, etc., saw what was coming a decade before their own government agents basted their land in blood?

If people understood how depraved are those who rule every land (because the scum, the sociopaths always rise to the top), they’d be accumulating AR15’s, ammo, and IED know-how ASAP.

(Oh, my bad. AR15 accumulation IS going on, and I can’t speak for know-how but it seems likely that such knowledge would spread rapidly in the event of its need.)

DC, that’s what I don’t understand about the poll that is constantly regurgitated over and over again by media and politicians.

The one that makes the claim that 90% of all Americans want comprehensive background checks, but, democrats are fearful of a pissed of constituency come mid term elections so they voted it down.

Don’t make no sense to me. Maybe the poll is bullshit?

“Maybe the poll is bullshit?” ——– card802

BINGO!!!!!! You win whatever the fuck is behind Door Number One.

Polls can, and are, as easy to manipulate as statistics. Meaning, one can literally get any response one wants ….. sometimes by changing merely one word. I know this for a fact.

Card, in the link I posted at 10:22pm, you’ll find the ABC News / Washington Post poll that is quoted. It shows 86% indicated support for the following question:

“Would you support or oppose a law requiring background checks on people buying guns at gun shows or online?”

THAT is what the media and the president keep quoting. However, if you look at the same poll, another question asked, “Would you support or oppose a law requiring a nationwide ban on the sale of assault weapons?” Only 56% support such a ban.

The bill that was struck down included BOTH extended background checks and a ban on “assault” weapons. The president is extending the truth (LYING!!) with his statement that 86% of Americans supported the bill. That many only supported part of what the bill included.

Yes, polls can be manipulated, but it’s too simplistic to say they don’t mean anything. Rational, thinking people will be able to read multiple polls on a given subject and determine where people’s beliefs really lie. That’s one of the reasons so many polls exist. The body of work, in totality, is actually quite accurate, as the bias of one is mitigated by the others.
