In my 55 years on this earth I REALLY started to observe and study my surroundings in about 2004 – the environment (ie: housing bubble, etc.) and more importantly the people around me – every where that I went, even my family members.
I cannot believe how low most of our citizenry has fallen in the past 20 years or so. Even today as I work in the North East PA Marcellus gas drilling operations I see hordes of stumbling men at work glued to their fucking cell phones, or more recently ‘tablets’. If both hands are not required on the task at hand then they switch to ‘CANDY CRUSH’ game or porn on the cell phone – GROWN MEN DOING THIS – I just can’t (don’t want to) believe it ! In addition, body piercings and tattoos flourish out here – along with chewing tobacco. It looks like Planet of the Apes around here ! (same with a ‘Super Cross’ race I went to a few years ago) I honestly do not feel that I am a part of the same race as these misfits – not that I am judging anyone here.
I cannot tell you the number of women and men I see every week glued to their fucking cell phones as their young children are mentally abandoned in the background of a techno babble face book Candy Crush world. I actually saw one young woman get upset when her toddler asked her to read him a book while at the dentist office, for this would have required her to put down her cell phone. I can’t fucking believe it. It is ALWAYS the children who suffer the most. Can’t wait to see the next generation of techno nitwits.

Some time ago ADMIN posted a video of a young man who got a fresh hair cut, dressed up and pretended to be a famous singer / movie star as he and his body guards and promoter walked through Times Square. In no time at all he had large groups of people flocking around him, and of course the girls (cell phone in hand) just had to have their pictures taken with this famous movie star. I would like to see that video again – I should have saved it.
As I get older I find myself becoming less and less involved with the people around me and I am becoming a recluse.
