If the Obama administration does not issue the unemployment report on Friday, it will be the most despicable act of his presidency. This storm hit in the last couple days of October. The data for this report was gathered in the middle of the month, well prior to the storm. The storm will have absolutely ZERO impact on the figures. That is a fact. To delay the report until after the election would be an attempt to steal the election. Anyone with a brain cell should be outraged that these scumbags even brought up the possibility of delaying the report.

Labor Department Says Hurricane May Affect Jobs Report

By Ian Katz – Oct 29, 2012 7:47 PM ET

The U.S. Labor Department will wait to gauge the impact of Hurricane Sandy before determining the status of the October jobs report, the last before next week’s presidential election.

The monthly employment data are scheduled to be released Nov. 2 at 8:30 a.m. in Washington. The median forecasts of economists surveyed by Bloomberg call for payrolls to rise by 125,000 workers in October and for the jobless rate to increase to 7.9 percent from 7.8 percent.

“We will assess the situation when the weather emergency is over and notify the press and public of any changes at that time,” Labor Department spokesman Gary Steinberg said in an e- mailed statement today.

The jobs report may help sway voters trying to decide between giving President Barack Obama another four years in office or to change course with Republican challenger Mitt Romney. The Obama administration has pointed to 24 straight months of job growth as evidence the economy is improving, while the Romney campaign has said progress is too slow.

Jack Welch, the former chief executive officer of General Electric Co. (GE), suggested the Obama administration had manipulated the jobs data for political advantage after the September unemployment rate unexpectedly dropped to the lowest level since the president took office in January 2009. Alan Krueger, chairman of the White House Council of Economic Advisers, called Welch’s comments “irresponsible.”

Prior to September, joblessness had exceeded 8 percent for 43 straight months, the longest such stretch since at least 1948.

Only President

Ronald Reagan is the only president to have been re-elected since World War II with unemployment above 6 percent. On Election Day 1984, the rate was at 7.2 percent, having dropped almost three percentage points in the previous 18 months.

In a separate statement today, Labor Department spokesman Carl Fillichio said the agency is “working hard” to ensure that the data will be released as scheduled.

“It is our intention that Friday will be business as usual regarding the October employment situation report,” he said.

Obama Invests $5 Million In Bullshit Energy

Just when we thought we had seen the epic failure of every single possible “alternative energy” project by this administration, along comes the announcement that the USDA is investing $5 million in a “biogas anaerobic digester” that will use “cow manure to heat an ethanol plant and create 15 permanent jobs.” Which for anyone confused, is roughly exactly what it sounds like. Perhaps if “Hope and Change” is a little passe now, a far more appropriate slogan for the 2012 Campaign will be “From Bullshit to Jobs, and Back Again.”

From the Washington Examiner:

Western Plains Energy, LLC, a Kansas company, will use the money to “utilize waste energy resources from a local cattle feedlot to replace almost 90 percent of the fossil fuels currently used” at the plant.

“Projects such as this are a key part of the Obama Administration’s all-of-the-above approach to American energy that is supporting the development and usage of renewable energy, revitalizing rural economies and creating an America built to last,” USDA Secretary Tom Vilsack said in a statement touting this project as an example of the policies that cut dependence on foreign oil.

Animal waste from a local feedlot will be the primary feedstock that Western Plains will use for the digester,” USDA added. “Support for renewable energy projects such as these is an example of the many ways USDA is helping revitalize rural economies.”

USDA expects the project to create 15 permanent jobs and 100 temporary construction jobs.

So how many shit shovelers does it take to run a “biogas anaerobic digester”? Apparently 15. At $333,333 a poop, pardon pop.

Sorry folks. We only wish this was a joke.

Wanna hear great joke?

Yesterday, in the wee hours of the night, just before Congress once again dodged their Constitutional duty to pass a budget for Fiscal 2011 (that starts today!), they passed a “continuing resolution” that provides funding for the Federal Government for the next 64 days in the amount of $219 billion funny dollars.

Then they all bolted through the door on the way home to campaign for reelection If they’re up for it or a long Fall snooze if they’re not. Thank goodness they won’t be back to screw things up until after elections in November.

The joke comes in when a Congressional aide took aside a member of the 4th estate and with all seriousness explained that the continuing resolution was a good thing because — wait for it –

“The eventual budget for 2011 would be $219 billion less.”
