Admin,
I saw this yesterday, I was hoping you would post it. It is funny how even a liberal can excoriate this insurance scheme yet the majority of the Republicans who did not even vote for this mess can’t even get out a coherent statement against it. Truly the idiots who run our government have no clue on what goes on in the real world.
Bob.

This is hilarious, particularly the part where the guy is stuck in the Obamacare website and the Pacman starts chasing him.

If you have lost Jon Stewart, you are going to lose the very demographic that is supposed to make Obamacare work, ie the 20-30 yo cuz Stewart is where they go to get “news”.

Of course, people that drink their Kool Aid Straight Up Libtard, usually have Brains of Mush, so probably nothing short of a big OUT OF BUSINESS sign in front of their local hospital will get through to them.

Proving, once again, that stupidity is hazardous to your health, har har.

Oh holy shit that made me laugh. “4s and 5s? Shouldn’t that be ones and zeroes?”

First day of the websites roll out our hospital had a line of people at the help desk trying to get their free healthcare so they could get some preexisting conditions looked at.

I love when Stewart asks him “did you try hitting escape?” and he sarcastically replies “Thank you Sanjay”! Funny shit!

My brother says that the govt has turned healthcare into a “soup sandwich”!

I needed a laugh after a shitty night at work. The only good (not good really) thing about it is that I set a new world record for material size but there was no need for such a record and I wasted material and have to do the whole job over again! Fuckity fuck fuck! Went to bed with a headache and I still have a headache!

‘Boney And Dryde Offer “Encouragement” To American Peoples

Our dearest of dear leaders has ‘hooked up’ (is that an acceptable terminology???!!) with our dearest of dear almost feminine, leaders- in- waiting-, Kathleen Supercillious. . .Sebelius to present…. to represent Obamacare to the masses! They are ‘persuading’ the American public that this is “what you want!!” and offering ‘incentives’ to sign up… or go directly to the morgue.

Since sign up has been a failure . . . Since sign up has been slower than expected, dear ‘Boney’ and dearest ‘Dryde’ are pointing fingers at — the America peoples. Obviously white Americans are too stupid and too racist to navigate a simple web site, are they not?!

There will be a Obamacare Support Rally in Washington D.C. on November 1st. We expect a crowd of dozens . . . so please be there to support your dear leader and receive one free tongue depressor!

I don’t know what all the bitching is about. I logged on to Healthcare.com, and after I entered my SS number and my bank account number I was able to buy a Bronze Plan for $9/month, with no deductibles and no co-pays, with full dental and prescription coverage.

I’d tell you more, but I just got a call from my bank asking me why I just withdrew all of my life’s savings. Those people are so stupid. I’ll have to go down and straighten them out.

Less than one month after the launch of the hyped Obamacare website, there are no official numbers of successful enrollees, but myriad stories of people whose healthcare prices have skyrocketed. Obama himself could barely find three people who had successfully signed up.

Once the public got a look at what was under the hood of the Obamacare car, it became obvious that the system is held together by nothing more than blocks of wood and string. One IT expert claims that the website was built using “10-year-old technology.” If you can even get in the website, you’re in for quite a surprise.

Now, when the Obama supporter faints, it’s most likely due to the shock caused by the price of the premium and deductible. But we can guarantee that Obama himself will never be held accountable for any of this fainting or fraud. No. He only wants to help.

The cause of the increased premiums and deductibles are caused by George W. Bush, the Republican Party, the Tea Party, greedy business owners, and even George Washington, who forced Obama to inherit all sorts of problems and who set up roadblocks (the Constitution) in the way of Obama’s Agenda.

This week’s fainting woman wanted to sign up for Obamacare, but hasn’t yet. She, and everyone else who haven’t signed up, are termed “Prospective Beneficiaries.” It’s like a mirage in the desert. Millions have supposedly almost signed up, but nobody has quite managed to do it. Just keep sending that TV preacher a little more of your money. Salvation is right around the corner!

Dateline Washington DC –

The Team Leader of the new Obamacare Tech Surge Team told journalists today that, once they’ve got that pesky login thingie fixed they’ll be moving on to working on the guts of the Obamacare ACA healthcare.gov website pictured above.

“Yeah, it’s gonna take a while to fix the login page,” stated Billy “GeekBro” Sebelius, leader of the new programming team and, incidentally, 2nd cousin of Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius, “and we can’t really give you an ETA on when the login will be fixed, but we’re pumped, d00d!”

Sebelius went on to explain that there are bound to be further glitches as the remaining 1,284 webpages are implemented, but he assured everyone that his team was way ready to dive into the code and start slinging HTML and Java Script, as well as as some PHP and ASP.NET.

“Hey, code is code, d00d,” said Sebelius with a wink, “and we’re on it!”

Meanwhile, at least 20 people nationwide are now confirmed to have successfully both signed up AND logged in to healthcare.gov, and while the website may be on and offline sporadically for the foreseeable future, there’s reassurance in the fact that the IRS is ready to go with fines for those who have been influenced in any way by Teabaggers and not signed up by January 1, 2014, or maybe sometime later.

Tech Surge: They got their best man working on it!!!!

16 Million Americans Are Losing Their Health Plans Because of Obamacare
Oct 23, 2013 • By JOHN MCCORMACK

While the Affordable Care Act was making its way through Congress in 2009 and 2010, President Obama famously promised the American people over and over again that if you like your health plan, you can keep it.

“Let me be exactly clear about what health care reform means to you,” Obama said at one rally in July 2009. “First of all, if you’ve got health insurance, you like your doctors, you like your plan, you can keep your doctor, you can keep your plan. Nobody is talking about taking that away from you.”

But the president’s promise is turning out to be false for millions of Americans who have had their health insurance policies canceled because they don’t meet the requirements of the Affordable Care Act.

According to health policy expert Bob Laszewski, roughly 16 million Americans will lose their current plans because of Obamacare:

The U.S. individual health insurance market currently totals about 19 million people. Because the Obama administration’s regulations on grandfathering existing plans were so stringent about 85% of those, 16 million, are not grandfathered and must comply with Obamacare at their next renewal. The rules are very complex. For example, if you had an individual plan in March of 2010 when the law was passed and you only increased the deductible from $1,000 to $1,500 in the years since, your plan has lost its grandfather status and it will no longer be available to you when it would have renewed in 2014.

These 16 million people are now receiving letters from their carriers saying they are losing their current coverage and must re-enroll in order to avoid a break in coverage and comply with the new health law’s benefit mandates––the vast majority by January 1. Most of these will be seeing some pretty big rate increases.

The Obamacare Debacle: It’s Everyone Else’s Fault

Submitted by Tyler Durden on 10/24/2013

As the Congressional hearing, to apportion blame for the farce that Obamacare has already become, gathers steam the overwhelming theme from the four witnesses is “it’s not our fault,” and as much as the Congressmen dive deeply into the process, the more it is clear that the left hand had no idea what the right hand was doing in yet another government-funded SNAFU. The entire discussion can be summed up by CGI’s comments that “our portion of the application worked as designed.” Indeed, all of the contractors point the finger back at the government’s Centers for Medicare and Medicaid as responsible for “end to end testing,” and ultimately the #fail.

Via WSJ,

According to prepared testimony, CGI Federal, the lead contractor for HealthCare.gov, will say the federal agency in charge of the project was “the ultimate responsible party for the end-to-end performance of the overall” health exchange.

CGI also said its system passed eight technical reviews before going live and that problems came instead from a system designed by another contractor, UnitedHealth Group Inc ‘s Optum unit, which verifies users’ identities. That “created a bottleneck that prevented the vast majority of users from accessing” the exchange, according to testimony of Cheryl Campbell, a senior vice president at CGI Federal.

Committee Chairman Fred Upton of Michigan asks the contractors if they knew the site would have “crippling problems.” CGI’s Campbell says that “our portion of the application worked as designed” and repeated that “end-to-end testing was the responsibility of the (Centers for Medicare & Medicaid).”

“We anticipate that people will be able to enroll in the time that is allotted,” said CGI’s Campbell (which is Dec. 15 if you want insurance on Jan. 1). “As painful as it sounds, I know it’s a difficult system, but the system is working.”

In summation, it seems that the following sums it up all too poerfectly…

“If there was a silver bullet to answer that question, I would give it to you,” says CGI’s Campbell. “It’s the end-to-end aspect that is a challenge.”

In other words, whoever was running the overall project was asleep at the wheel…

Bipartisan Dismay Over Health Plan Woes at House Hearing

WASHINGTON — Lawmakers from both parties expressed anger Thursday at the performance of contractors hired to build the online health insurance marketplace, which is still limping along after three weeks.

The contractors, at a hearing of the House Committee on Energy and Commerce, gave new details of the problems and possible fixes.

Lawmakers said they were dismayed because the contractors assured the committee on Sept. 10 that they, their computer systems and the online federal marketplace were ready to enroll millions of Americans eager to buy insurance, subsidized by the government.

“Why did they assure us that the Web site would work?” asked Representative Fred Upton, Republican of Michigan and chairman of the committee. “Did they not know? Or did they not disclose?”

“This is more than a Web site problem,” Mr. Upton said. “The Web site should have been the easy part. I’m also concerned about what happens next. Will enrollment glitches become provider payment glitches? Will patients show up at their doctor’s office or hospital only to be told that they aren’t covered, or even in the system?”

The hearing room was packed with spectators eager to witness the confrontation between lawmakers and business executives whose companies have received tens of millions of dollars to build the federal marketplace, or exchange.

Biderman Blasts Barack Obama’s Biggest Of The Big Lies

“Inherent in the nature of government itself is the fact that it is incapable of effectively providing services,” Biderman blasts, noting that “by ‘effective’, he means dollars and hours.” The TrimTabs CEO is breathless in his beration of “the biggest of the big lies,” that continues to be believed by most of America (“given their re-election of Barack Obama” he adds), that government can effectively provide services. The reality is “governments are not capable of getting anything done cost-effectively,” and Biderman, focused on Obamacare as a recent example, concludes “its all FUBAR.”

ObamaCare website contractors blame Obama administration
By Rebecca Shabad – 10/24/13

Principal contractors hired to build the ObamaCare website HealthCare.gov are hitting back at the Obama administration for the site’s overwhelming technical problems.

Executives from CGI Federal and QSSI, the site’s main contractors, are among four companies testifying before the House Energy and Commerce Committee Thursday on the glitches.

The Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) “serves the important role of systems integrator or `quarterback’ on this project and is the ultimate responsible party for the end-to-end performance,” CGI’s Senior Vice President Cheryl Campbell said in prepared testimony, according to The Associated Press.

“No amount of testing within reasonable time limits can adequately replicate a live environment of this nature,” she added.

Campbell also said, according to The New York Times, that all of CGI Federal’s work was done “under the direction and supervision” of the Centers for Medicare ad Medicaid Services (CMS).

The report notes she blames “another contractor” for customers’ problems creating secure password-protected accounts, but didn’t identify the group. The Times said government records show QSSI had that responsibility.

Andy Slavitt, who represents QSSI’s parent company, said he also blamed the administration for the late decision to require consumers to create accounts before they could actually browse health plans. That change, he said, contributed to the overload.

“This may have driven higher simultaneous usage of the registration system that wouldn’t have occurred if consumers could window-shop anonymously,” he said, the AP reports.

Health insurance cancellation notices soar above Obamacare enrollment rates

Hundreds of thousands of Americans who purchase their own health insurance have received cancellation notices since August because the plans do not meet Obamacare’s requirements.

The number of cancellation notices greatly exceed the number of Obamacare enrollees.

Insurance carrier Florida Blue sent out 300,000 cancellation notices, or 80 percent of the entire state’s individual coverage policies, Kaiser Health News reports. California’s Kaiser Permanente canceled 160,000 plans — half of its insurance plans in the state — while Blue Shield of California sent 119,000 notices in mid-September alone.

Two major insurance carriers in Pennsylvania, Insurance Highmark in Pittsburgh and Independence Blue Cross in Philadelphia plan to cancel 20 percent and 45 percent of their total plans, respectively.

Nearly 800,000 New Jersey residents’ health-care plans will not longer exist in 2014, forcing insurers to create new ones for individuals and small business owners that hew to the Obamacare’s new regulations, The New Jersey Star Ledger found in early October.

“I don’t feel like I need to change, but I have to,” Jeff Learned, a television editor in Los Angeles, told Kaiser Health News. Learned now needs to scramble to find a plan to coverage his teenage daughter, whose health problems have required several surgeries.

More Americans have lost their individual health coverage in Florida and California than have gotten past the login screen on HealthCare.gov, according to The Washington Post, which reports that 476,000 applications have “been started,” but not completed. HealthCare.gov’s dysfunctional website has helped enrollment grind to almost a complete halt.
