Why would anyone want a double barrel AR?Maybe for gun shows? Seems like it waste a lot of ammunition.
A family that shoots together stays together.
Last weekend a couple friends and I were hog hunting. These two fine looking country girls came upon us carrying their AR’s. My friend dropped his rifle and said, “I give up, do what you will with me, I will not resist”.
I just picked up 1000 rounds each of .30 carbine and .38 Super +P. If I get my chores done I might go shootin’ this afternoon.

Though I did not downvote you, I will take valuable time and explain it to you.
The “good reason” is: Because we CAN.
The wonderful thing about the IIA is that you don’t NEED justification to own a firearm. Once idiots start with that “Why do you need to have that?” line of questioning, it always, always, always leads to more and greater transgressions against the owners of other firearm types.
“You don’t NEED an “assault weapon” to hunt deer!” Know what? I hunt deer precisely with an “assault weapon” (though I would dearly love to hear the progs come to a consensus about what constitutes an “assault weapon”, being as no military in the world has any, nor would they ‘assault’ anything with them even if they did. Evil ‘assault weapons’ were demonized by their cosmetics, not their function.).
The idiots who shot sporting clays turned their backs on their black-rifle-owning brethren since they ‘didn’t see a reason to justify owning one’…. little do they know that THEY are next…

If I needed to hunt deer for meat, I would want the most efficient means possible for securing said meat. Maybe one of these:

I would want one of these, as the old style are not accurate enoughfor deer hunting:
