If most Americans can be bamboozled into believing ISIS and IRAN are existential threats to their Way of Life, can we doubt that another of the overtly criminal Clintons can be sold successfully?

The only thing that can ever derail the political aristocracy and its overt nepotism is a near complete meltdown of the economic system, leading to a break-up of large nation-states into much smaller and homogeneous social entities.
That level of chaos strikes me as still some considerable time away.
On the other hand, a meltdown of the stock market (and bond market) might usher in a tsunami of “throw the old bums out” so large that it overwhelms the mass-mind-management of the people-controllers.
