This is a good example of the mindless herd behavior that can infect humans in many types of activity. Driving too fast and too close for the conditions…but, hey, everyone else is doing it.

Happy Birthday Stucky!

I went out for a 15 mile birthday bicycle ride today. It was ~ 60F in Minneapolis – a record for Feb 27th – the prior record having been 54F in 1896. Bunch of guys were ice-fishing. After the late-arriving winter and warm February, you wouldn’t catch me on the ice unless we get one last blast of cold for 3-5 days. I’m hoping for some snow and a few more weeks of viable shitty Midwest skiing.

People say when you die you gotta go thru Atlanta to get to Heaven. There is no way around Atlanta; when there is a wreck you lose 4-5 hours. It truly was an Affirmative Action Asshole’s idea of a Gordian Knot highway system. I nominate the Georgia Highway Department for the worst road design in history.
