The only way the $15/hr minimum could work if it was in direct response to inflation which would leave it comparatively the same as or even lower than it is now.
Some jobs, and most minimum wage jobs, are simply not worth $15/hr and will either disappear or be replaced with robotics that either reduce or eliminate the number of workers needed to do them.
What we need to do is focus on creating real productive jobs that justify high wages, not try to make simple bottom end unskilled labor jobs pay high wages instead.

Many of you TBPers must not have kids or grandkids, otherwise you wouldn’t be opposed to a living wage for them.
Do you not realize this country took a dangerous 90 degree turn to the right when Ray-gun and his henchmen delayed release of the Iran hostages to usher him into power? Do you not realize the damage done by his “trickle-down” bullshit economic policies? Cut taxes without cutting spending? Hell, even David Stockman has admitted it was bullshit.
I seriously believe we would not be in the mess we’re in today had Carter won another term. He’s the last decent, honest President this country has had.

What’s the answer? Really? As technology takes over, we will have more and more unemployable people to feed. Not everyone can be a Dr. or an engineer or Lawyer etc.
