The libertines need only one commandment: Every man for himself and everyone else be damned if they don’t like it.

Bullshit, annoyingmouse. Get a screen name, then go buy a clue. The subject is libertarians, not libertines. You sound like a fuckin democrat.

Ed,

Show me different.

FWIW, the Order of Anonymati forbids the use of a name, it is a violation of the most ancient and sacred of our Orders rules to do so since it is seen as seeking personal fame instead of speaking what we define as truth for nothing other than its own sake.

Serious responses are for people with screen names only, since there are numerous Anonyholes posting. Get a name and use it every time you post or FOAD.

libertines?

A libertine is one devoid of most moral or sexual restraints, which are seen as unnecessary or undesirable, especially one who ignores or even spurns accepted morals and forms of behaviour sanctified by the larger society.[1][2] Libertinism is described as extreme form of hedonism.[3] Libertines put value on physical pleasures, meaning those experienced through the senses. As a philosophy, libertinism gained new-found adherents in the 17th, 18th, and 19th centuries, particularly in France and Great Britain. Notable among these were John Wilmot, 2nd Earl of Rochester, and the Marquis de Sade.

Don’t like open borders? Don’t open the border.

Libertarianism cannot be carried to its logical end but many of ts principles are good. Men are not moral enough to be libertarians on any large scale. Men always resort to force(government).

The Libertarian idea demands too much personal responsibility for one’s decisions and actions for it ever to be viable in the US. Whle not limited to today’s Liberals, it would be a total wipeout for them.
