20 Years Of Progress? Real Median Household Income Back To 1996 Levels, Home Prices Exploding!

Guest Post by Anthony Sanders

Like Sgt Peppers Lonely Hearts Club Band,

It was twenty years ago today
Sgt. Pepper the government taught the band economy to play
They’ve been going in and out of style (not really)
But they’re guaranteed to raise a smile (but not incomes)
So may I introduce to you
The act you’ve known for all these years
Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band  Sgt. Yellen’s Flat Income Band

Yes, real median household income as of 2014 is back to 1996 levels. Not quite 20 years, but you get the point.

Unfortunately, real home prices are considerably higher than 20 years ago.

While Bloomberg doesn’t have a real home price index, I am forced to use a nominal home price index. But you still get the point. Home prices are considerably higher as is the stock market than nearly 20 years ago. But real median household income is the same as in 1996.

Yes, government policies enacted to spread the wealth and make housing affordable have seemingly backfired. American households are worse off now than (almost) 20 years ago.

And, of course, The Federal Reserve has made asset prices skyrocket, but not real median household income.

Democrats care about the ‘average joe’, or maybe not – looking back on the last 7 years under Dem rule it is painfully obvious the top 10% have gotten richer while the 90% have gotten poorer.

You’re right, kokoda. Clinton’s second term was attributed to the “great economy”, which no thinking man bought into, but the media still pushed that storyline. Their attempt to sell the same line of bullshit for Obama hasn’t even worked on the dumbasses who voted for him because so many of them are living on “public assistance” now.

There’s a reconing coming on many fronts.

There will be every possible effort made to put it off till next year when there is a new President that can be blamed so Obama escapes any responsibility for it.

In any event, it is going to happen soon no matter who is in Congress and the White House. How it will be dealt with by each side is the question that should be being addressed in these upcoming elections, not who gets blamed.

The Elite own the money printing machine and are buying whatever they want and “investing” the rest. The Useful Idiot Voters are getting paid well to produce the Fifth Column Scofflaws and rioters but the Unchosen & Nonminoritie taxpayers are going broke. TPTB have fortunately created a Tsunami for Trump that will hit in November and clean house.

Those PTB have stolen the money…either for black projects/
and or also, personal gain. We have been looted, and they are trying
to kill us nine different ways. Everyone is a fat diabetic? Oh-oh,
no more insulin. Autism spiking…49 “immunizations” by age five…
and (hahahahaha) mandatory at that. Insecticides, fungicides, and
weed killers/herbicides in the processed “food.” Crap of various
compositions sprayed constantly in the sky. Weather manipulation.
Chemical poisons in the food. Loss of employment opportunity.
Schools teaching “to the test,” no critical thinking allowed. Financial
manipulation beyond comprehension, designed to impoverish the masses.
Racial strife being ginned up, “I life in a house built by slaves,” the first lady
stated at a commencement speech. Open borders for any and all. $17+K
for each minor each year/cash…..which is much more than a senior gets in SS.
Okay, you get the picture. Prepare…you may die anyway (sooner rather than
later) but at least you’ll have a modicum of dignity in the event.
