Responsible for shaping the policy platform of the Democratic Party as a committee member of the DNC, Bonnie Schaefer denied everyone their Second Amendment right by sharing her personal opinion that nobody should own a gun.
The multi-millionaire one-percenter said this at a DNC planning event on Wednesday:
“You’re absolutely correct; not just keeping the guns out of the hands of mentally ill people and criminals, but I really don’t personally think anyone should have a gun. I mean, that’s just my own philosophy. Nothing is ever solved when you have a gun in your hand, except the worst possible scenario.”
What she may not realize, as Townhall noted, is that the DNC convention will be flanked by armed security guards. Lucky for her, she won’t have to worry about her own safety if a worst possible scenario-type of thing goes down while she’s in attendance.
Don’t ever let it be said that Democrats aren’t after your guns. Many of them are, and like Schaefer, they sit in powerful thrones, dictating policy.

I get it, it’s bad, but I don’t think hildabeast would be able to get anything meaningful through. Anything that could be gotten away with via executive action, Obama would have done it already. She is no more likely to get a substantial law passed than Obama either. They are risking turning a bunch of people into single issue voters though.
Gator, Obama hasn’t seriously tried to do much. While gun owners were terrified of him in 2008, reality is that he’s done less to ban guns (federally) than Clinton, Bush 1, and even Reagan. Only Bush 2 was better for gun owners than Obama. I think Obama was 80% posturing, 20% cold calculation that it wasn’t worth wasting time on.

Especially with the 9th circuit court ruling yesterday on concealed carry in CA that will certainly bubble up to the Supreme Court eventually.

In California where obtaining a CCW permit is next to impossible depending upon which county you live in, it appears that judges are an exception. As an example Los Angeles County where it is next to impossible for an average citizen to get a CCW, there are 87 judges that have CCW permits. And it is the judges in California that say you have no right to carry a gun.
This country is already too far down the road to a society of two classes, ordinary people and then the privileged class. The privileged class are writing the rules to exempt themselves and give themselves special privileges. As George Carlin says “it’s an exclusive club and you aren’t in it.”
And let’s not forget that Diane Feinstein the most rabid anti-gun crusader in congress has a CCW permit to carry a gun. She’s a special person you are not. Her life is worth protecting yours is not. She’s in the club you are not.

Funny I was watching her giving a speech not long ago and thought the same thing.
Tyranny is just a pen stroke away and easy to enforce even now. All one needs to do is look towards Oklahoma. There, the Blue Thugs are stealing money on the roadways one Debit card at a time. No one should have A gun. You need several. You can not hunt pheasant with your self defense pistol for example. And a barret is useful in preventing or addressing tyrany, but makes a lousy home defense weapon.
Hillary is going to make a massive push against private ownership of guns with severe restrictions on who can own one, what kind it can be and what it can be legally used for.
It is likely she will succeed the same way Obama has succeeded with his radical agenda. It doesn’t need to be an outright ban, just restrictions so severe it makes legally owning or using one meaningless for all practical purposes.
There will be no effective political will to oppose this, The leadership on right side of the aisle is more interested in catering to the left side than in opposing it.
But maybe we’ll be allowed to retain as much freedom as Germany where many of its citizens are still able to get a permit to legally own a blank gun.
