My message to my stepdaughters, when this subject came up (freshman year in high school):
1) It’s ALL about sex, not equality or colorblindness. Are you ready to be fucked and abandoned, and left with a tattered reputation?
2) It’s not anything like our culture that you will be experimenting with, and you really won’t like dealing with it when you figure it out. Do not get into any situation you don’t know how to get out of.
3) PLEASE take the time to grow up first, and if, as an adult, you fall in love with another person of a different race, you might actually be able to deal with all the difficulties it will involve
4) Until then, just enjoy being a normal teenager, and don’t be a party to some sort of warped social justice experiment
5) Until further notice, he is not welcome in our home, and neither is any other boy
