Stucky QOTD: Pence

I watched the hour long interview Hannity had with Pence last evening.  My first impression is positive; articulate, educated, steady, reasonable, and just a nice guy.

Compared to Joe Biden the man is Einstein and Plato rolled into one.

Of course, the Hillcunt camp has already called Pence the worst candidate of all time, a bigoted hateful narrow-minded hater of fags and other creatures.

Q1:  On a scale of 1 (bad) to 10, how do you feel about Pence?

Q2: Regardless of how you feel, did Trump make the right choice?

Q3: A very specific question. Pence wears his Christianity on his sleeve. This might bring in all the conservative/evangelical repubs who can’t stand Trump and/or preferred Cruz.  But that’s a small subset of the general population. Won’t Pence’s religiosity hurt the ticket more than help it?

Q1 – 7

Q2 – He did make the right choice. Gingrich or Christie would have lost him votes. Pence is at worst neutral. Pence comes across as steady, reasonable and someone you could envision as president.

Q3 – The religious stuff is not going to be a factor in this election. It’s the economy, the corrupt establishment, radical Islamic terrorism, and illegal immigrants. Very few Americans give a shit about the religious bullshit.

Admin’s right. Good pick as far as winning the election. I’m just worried that if/when they send another John Hinckley after President Trump, I won’t get my goddamn wall. He better build it fast. I’d prefer Trump or Pence to pick the next few SCOTUS members than Clinton.

I like the choice (9) as it brings a more stable influence to the ticket. Trump was never going to get a big boost from the left as most will just go to Hillidiot or Stein. Meanwhile, it galvanizes the religious right who is sick of having abortion, birth control, and transgenderism shoved down their throats. Brilliant I think. Newt was the worst possible choice in my mind, just as Clinton was the wrong choice for the left. Now if they don’t kill him, it should be a slam dunk in November. Won’t the left be so surprised…

Pence doesn’t seem to be controversial, closer to neutral IMO, which makes Trump’s policies less vulnerable to the leftists and may bring Republican and independent fence sitters to his side as they see Hillary and whoever she picks for her VP revealing themselves.

Look at all the love for The Trump ticket. Didn’t all of you Meatheads hate Trump last month ? I guess you all finally figured out libertarianism is a loser every time. Libertarian candidates always draw voters away from the GOP .Now if Gary Johnson and Ron Paul will go hide under a Damn rock and kept their worthless opinions to themselves TRUMP should be the next President.

Stucky, thanks for that — pretty comprehensive. Being from Indiana, where the Democrats are conservative and the Republicans are Libertarian, I generally like him, so rate the choice an 8.

I think it was a brilliant choice for Trump. Christie is as corrupt as Clinton and Gingrich is an insane neo-con warmonger. He’s the kind of guy who would make a good president if anything happens to Trump. Trump clearly knows how to hire good people who can pull their own weight, instead of lackeys who are nothing but yes-men. Pence appeals to the conservative end of the party that thinks Trump is a closet Democrat, so he may have figured out a way to keep those people from staying home on election day. Knowing how much of a strategist Trump is, that was well thought-out. He also gains someone with a hell of a lot of government experience combined with a businessman’s efficiency — Indiana has had a balanced budget since 2007.

The religion thing? Will help him with some of those conservatives, but no one else cares, as Admin said .

? I never heard of Pence before…that must mean I am poorly
informed. All over there were comments that Pence was a mega-war monger and dumb as a brick. Perhaps those comments were from a controlled opposition? If you-all know he is a decent person/think he is, then I am reassured. I am glad Trump didn’t choose NG, everyone is sick of that old horse.
BTW, looks like the day of rage collapsed. I did not see one news

Don’t know much about him but initial impression is good, solid 8. Overall good choice, should definitely help in the election. He should never apologize for being a devout Christian. If the Yids are offended, they can get their sorry asses over to Israel. Likewise, the Sand Niggers can go back to whatever fucking shithole they came from. We owe them neither an explanation or apology. Fuck ’em!

If Trump needs to show weakness on Muslim immigration (The Islamic Invasion), building a real wall (Border Control), anti-American NWO trade agreements, Obamacare Socialism, and NeoCon warmongering to get enough votes to win, then it’s a Pyrrhic Victory. Then when the RINOs murder Trump, we are right back to the NWO Blitzkrieg only with a Republican POTUS. And the thing I like best about Pence (a Christian Social Conservative to help keep Trump on the Right Path) is considered a fault in the populous unHoly North and godless West Coast! Criminy, it’s shaping up not to be El Cid vs The Barbarians but more Soupy Sales for the Useless Idiots.

A Trump assassination would not be a return to anything resembling anything we have ever known, whether before or after his election and taking of office.

But sort of related, I hear the ACLU is already gearing up to challenge Trump on Constitutional grounds about everything he does. Wonder if Ginsburg will recuse herself in light of here recent prejudicial anti Trump statements?

In any event, and IMO, the future is not going to look a whole lot like the past has no matter who wins.

Point one: With the demoncrats saying the choice is a going back to 1950 they are right. I want desperately to go back before the Clintons corruption and when America was something besides a warmongering country. Point two; Trump needs the evangelicals which Pence will draw. Point three: Don’t pay any attention to the media bullshit, Hillary has been giving them along with all the bankers Monica’s for years. They are in bed with her. Nothing but bullshit lies. Point Four: Being from Indiana is a plus not a minus as Pence has managed this state economy to the top of the list of strong business and lower taxes. His stance with the queers should be praised as most of us are sick and tired of the 3% mouths that direct their actions to wrong places. Point five: Trump may be somewhat of a heavy handed selfie, but Pence is a calm, thoughtful, and caring person that is a good balance and voice of reason. Thus the conclusion is simple as ABC. Anybody But Clinton !!!!

Ok, but think how horrified you would be if a mike pence were to move into the house next to you. You’d have to deal with the roar of lawnmowers on the weekend. His kids would backtalk you with “yes sir”, and, “no maam”. You would have to grit your teeth and endure friendly waves and smiles. He might slip in and out silently, no gunning of engines or screeching of tires to warn you. And if some dindu tried to break in your house, i’ll bet pence would jump to conclusions without considering the disadvantages that young man might be facing and take action. That’s the test right there. What if he were YOUR neighbor. I rest my case.

Don’t get too worked up over a few past errors. First of all, they’re chickenshit, second people can change. Much more important, Romney/lyin ryan lost the last election in the rust belt. Romney had sealed his fate saying fuck the car companies. Obongo banked the win when he bailed them and their unions out. Trump is well aware of this. Pence will campaign in that area bigtime. I credit Manafort for steering Trump into this pick. It looks like a huge winner to me.

jamesthewanderer

I know very little about Pence. I know tons about Trump, been watching him wander by for nearly thirty years. Between them I know a bit.
That puts me PARSECS ahead of what I knew about Obama AFTER HE WON THE FIRST TIME. The media did exactly NO vetting of Obama ahead of the election, and spent NO time covering his ideas, positions and policies (such as they were, as a single-term junior Senator from Illinois he voted little, said little and did little). We (the country as a whole) found out about Obama from what he did AFTER the election, and most of us liked it very little.
That being said, if I roll EVERYTHING negative about Trump and Pence and balance it against the positive, I end up with a massive positive. If I roll everything negative I KNOW about Hillary and try to balance it with the positive, I wind up with a negative that would overcome Mother Teresa’s positives. There is literally NO ONE that Hillary could pick that would induce me to vote for that ticket; there is NO ONE with positives that could overcome her negatives.
And the fact the mindless MSM dislikes Pence is about as high a recommendation as I can imagine.
Let me be clear; Trump and Pence are neither angels, nor saints; but Hillary IS the devil. Where in the Bible does it say the AntiChrist must be a man?

1) about a 3 – I didn’t listen to the interview but I did go through the “on the issues” web site. I lean libertarian, so he’s way too “conservative” for my taste. I.E. Warmonger, Anti-personal liberties (that stuff should be left to the people or the states), etc. There are some things that I agree with but they’re so scattered it makes me wonder if he is scatter brained or just available to the highest bidder.

2) From my point of view I think Trump made a big mistake. I probably would have voted for Trump, it’s highly unlikely I’ll vote for Trump/Pence because of the stuff in answer 1. To me the only appeal of Trump is that he is different. The fact that he chose a hard-core member of the political establishment (doesn’t matter which “side”) is a big disappointment for me. The fact that he chose a hard-core christian means that he’s much less likely to pick up any of the Bernie votes. Besides, now the political establishment have even more impetus to go gunning for him if he wins so it’s not likely he’d be president for very long anyway.

3) Hard to know. Pence’s religiosity will hurt with the non-Christian and libertarian voters. It will help with the evangelical vote and may help with the mainstream Christian vote. I don’t know which will have more impact.

Pence could be a Trump card that could help both the Ted Cruz conservative puritans as well as Jerry Falwell-type evangelical’s to simultaneously hear and heed the Clarian Call and triumphant sounds of trumpence.

Although the wacko left hear trumpence playing “taps”, it could be playing for them because there are a still lot of blue dog / Reagan democrat voters in this election who believe in putting both God and America first .

We will see how it all plays out. In the meantime, the band marches on.

He doesnt seem like Trumps pick, rather he was picked for him. It appears that a deal has been made with the king makers, this should be cold water on the never Trump crowd.
The choice is unconventional enough and Pence seems to rigorously tow the establishment line enough to warrant concern.
Maybe the establishment is willing to give Trump the Keys for a test drive, with Pence as insurance, in case he drives off the reservation.
Even if its all kabuki and there is no choice, the outcome predetermined, I will still be relieved for our masters to choose Trump for us, rather than inflict Hillary on us.

(Q2) I think tRUMP made the right choice. Never hurts to parade out the candidate that is most identified with the flag, apple pie, big Christian, America first type (even though he will sell you out in a heartbeat).

(Q3) Like I said yesterday, The Evangelical Christians will eat him up with a spoon. The fact is this country is 70% Christian contrary to the lie the MSM tells that this is no longer a Christian nation. Q1: 1 lousy & ill-advised
Q2: Horrible, awful, terrible mistake Even Hoosiers are embarrassed by him & he would probably have been voted out of office; could be one of the reasons he accepted the VP invite.
Q3: The selection of Pence will absolutely kill ANY chance of Trump getting crossover votes from Dems, Bernie supporters, or Hitliary haters. He forced through a right to work act that has been a dismal failure with Indiana losing manufacturing jobs right and left (Carrier, Cummins, etc.). He pushed through the “religious rights” act that blew up in his face, and he’s way out on a limb concerning a Woman’s right to choose what happens with her own body.
Case in point, I was contemplating voting for Trump, giving him the benefit of the doubt he’ll accomplish ANY of his stated goals, but now with Pence that’s just not possible. I can’t imagine an America where our President is as big of a nut job as Pence. Not that I could have voted for Christie or Gingrich either.
He should have picked Flynn, or what about Pat Buchanan? (Both Men I could have voted for).

Q2- Good choice when considering he needed to make nice with neocons. Art of the Deal stuff. He should help pick up votes in some States still in play. Ohio and Penn come to mind.
Q3-His christianity will end up being important to those it matters. I can’t vote obviously but if I could his core beliefs do not threaten me. His followers are not suicide bombers or visiting nightclubs with a gun. I am guessing but would not be surprised if the Donald feels same way.

1. I didn’t watch the interview, but from what I know of Pence, 7.

2. Trump had NO choice other than to pick someone with inside the government experience. If he wants to make any of his grand plans happen without being an out-and-out EO wielding dictator, he has to get congress to go along. Trump is familiar with the “business end” of government, but he has no legislative experience. Ever sat through the legislative process, or tried to learn the rules???? OMFG… Trump needs someone to navigate it all.

3. I’m fine with wearing his Christianity on his sleeve as long as he keeps it separate from governing (and save the preaching for church). I, too, believe in separation of Church and State.

At any rate, I’d vote for roadkill over Cankles.

Q1: On a scale of 1 (bad) to 10, how do you feel about Pence?

About 7. Better than the Drumthwacket Fat Boy, by far (from North Jersey, remember). No more “Acela Republicans.”

Q2: Regardless of how you feel, did Trump make the right choice?

Yeah. The Republican Party “establishment” bunch – the career political types – are not a lot of stuff to work from. Pence has about the least level of baggage. (And Newt is more “outside” right now on speaking the true American hostility against the Muslims. Remember the Japs on 8 December 1941? Well, how nicely do the average American think about the “refugee narrative” crap from the Caliphate? This is a WAR, guys. Might as well speak the truth about it.)

Q3: Won’t Pence’s religiosity hurt the ticket more than help it?

How much of being a Muslim would be? Hell, that’s the way Obozo has been from infancy, and the Demotards have pushed the whole republic all the way into the sewer to provide him with cover.
