One day after vice president Mike Pence and China’s president Xi Jinping clashed after exchanging sharply worded barbs in a showdown between the two superpowers, on Sunday the annual Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation summit ended in unprecedented chaos and disarray, without agreement on a joint communique for the first time in its history as the escalating rivalry between the United States and China dominated proceedings and reflected escalating trade tensions.
Competition between the United States and China over the Pacific was also thrown into focus with the United States and its Western allies launching a coordinated response to China’s Belt and Road program, Reuters added.

A Besieged Trump Presidency Ahead

After a week managing the transition, vice president-elect Mike Pence took his family out to the Broadway musical “Hamilton.”
As Pence entered the theater, a wave of boos swept over the audience. And at the play’s end, the Aaron Burr character, speaking for the cast and the producers, read a statement directed at Pence:
“(W)e are the diverse America who are alarmed and anxious that your new administration will not protect us, our planet, our children, our parents, or defend us and uphold our inalienable rights, sir. But we truly hope this show has inspired you to uphold our American values.”
In March, the casting call that went out for actors for roles in this musical celebration of “American values” read:
“Seeking NON-WHITE men and women.”

Pence and family went to see the play “Hamilton” in NYC … where they were roundly booed … and then lectured by a gay AIDS-infested Kneegrow. Not that there’s anything wrong with that.

Stucky QOTD: Pence
I watched the hour long interview Hannity had with Pence last evening. My first impression is positive; articulate, educated, steady, reasonable, and just a nice guy.
Compared to Joe Biden the man is Einstein and Plato rolled into one.
Of course, the Hillcunt camp has already called Pence the worst candidate of all time, a bigoted hateful narrow-minded hater of fags and other creatures.
Q1: On a scale of 1 (bad) to 10, how do you feel about Pence?
Q2: Regardless of how you feel, did Trump make the right choice?
Q3: A very specific question. Pence wears his Christianity on his sleeve. This might bring in all the conservative/evangelical repubs who can’t stand Trump and/or preferred Cruz. But that’s a small subset of the general population. Won’t Pence’s religiosity hurt the ticket more than help it?
Is The Fix in?
Trump is no dummy.
Because he did not pick Newtie.
Had he done so, he might as well have put Romney at the head of the ticket and retired to Mira Lago. The selection of Pence shows that while Trump is no Libertarian, he’s not another “bipartisan” – and so Born to Lose – Republican.
With Pence, Trump makes his victory in November more rather than less likely – as would not have been the case with someone like Newtie as his Better Half.
This is smart politics, regardless of our (as Libertarians) approval of his politics.
Trump needs the snake handlers and tongue-talkers – just as Hillary must have the Millennial Redistributionists and Social Justice Warriors.
