Governor of Washington Repeating the Arrogance of the ’60s

Guest Post by Martin Armstrong

Governor of Washington

The governor of the State of Washington has actually declared war on the United States as a federal government signing an executive order to prevent any state employee to assist the Federal government in deporting any illegal aliens. This is demonstrating the trend toward the breakup of the United States. No State governor has the authority to refuse to comply with the Federal Government for the State of Washington is bound by the Supremacy Clause of the United States Constitution (Article VI, Clause 2) establishes that the Constitution, federal laws made pursuant to it, and treaties made under its authority, constitute the supreme law of the land.

Ironically, here we have the governor of Washington committing a serious offense exactly as the South did in refusing to desegregate. The way the Federal government broke the South in the ’60s, was using this clause. There it was the South refusing to end segregation and here we have cities and states committing the very same crime by claiming they are “safe” areas to protect illegal aliens. History is repeating – the issue slightly changes. The Fed would be legally justified to now cut off all federal funds to the State of Washington.

It is interesting that those who aspire to the left are willing to subjugate the rights of anyone who disagrees with them, but they refuse to comply with the law when it goes against what they want to do.

You think desegregation was favored by a majority of Alabama residents back in the 60s? Of course not and that didn’t matter a bit to the Feds. While getting “equal” rights for blacks certainly had the appearance of nobleness(our ancestors were quite prescient weren’t they), allowing illegals to roam our country, sucking up tax dollars and in many cases committing numerous additional crimes is definitely anything but noble.

It’s waaay past time to start making examples.

The feds don’t care about certain laws. Laws about weed as an example. In a republic the government should obey it’s own laws. By allowing violations of its own laws it defeats itself at being a republic. Kinda like saying absolute truth does not exist. Well that is an absolute truth; a self defeating statement. My best hope is a break up of the USA. Peacefully. But I don’t think the left will go that way.

Hollow,I also believe a divorce is the answer, with the kids also choosing how/where they would like to live.I also do believe it will be a messy divorce with no lawyers in the end(a good thing!).

AG Sessions has already announced that he intends to enforce the federal laws on marijuana, so expect the Left to start howling about that.

A divorce might be the best thing we could hope for, but let’s be realistic here. The existing federal government is not going to give up any territory and more importantly tax payers willingly.

The civil war was the end of states rights and since then the Federal government has only gotten more powerful. There will be no divorce. This is more like a case where the battered wife ends up having to kill the abusive husband and or else suffer under his reign. The people are the battered wife and so far just take the abuse and make excuses for the abuser.

Where are the US Marshell Service in all of this cannot the president get a warrent by swearing oath and affirmation and arrest the Governor of Washington State and have a judge hold him in contempt till he complies with the law of the land or rots in a jail cell ! The Federal government, as delegated in the Constitution, is fully in charge of immigration and all immigrants till they become citizens through naturalization.

The States do not have authority over this.

State officials trying to usurp this authority for themselves need to be prosecuted.

One small point. Yes, ordinarily the states do not have authority over this, but if the Feds refuse to enforce the immigration laws, then the States have authority to defend their borders from invasion. The question is, when do rampant illegal aliens become the functional equivalent of invaders?

OK, we have a governor that put the Chinese flag at center with the US and Washington State flags lower to the left and right. And he wanted to cleanup the atmosphere of the world by taxing the WA residents.. He has a failing grade as a governor. He doesn’t understand economics at all. And allowing ‘common core’ in the state he has assured everyone that the young generation will not be able to take on the challenges of any future. He truly has gone much too far with this little insane action.
Of course as a Democrat all that is just fine. Now, without being naive, those actions of the governor are most suspicious. Who has he been listening to? Obviously not the sane people of the state. Must have been to Democrats in high places …. problem here. Right now with information being given to us by Wiki-leaks and other sources there is clear evidence of heinous acts done by democrats in high places (republicans as well). Now the questions are; why does he listen to them and what do they have on him to make him act in such dangerous way?
May God bless us and bring back justice to our great land.

Send all the illegals to Washington State but no Federal Money for them. The citizens will then deal with their Useful Idiot Governor.

I live here and this state is a joke! Now they are talking about installing a state income tax to pay for these illegals. White people, especially men are regularly discriminated against here. However this is only on the coast, the rest of the state is much different. I propose an action to run these jar heads out of the state.

If we must have a government, I prefer one that embraces the principles of subsidiarity and states’ rights. The Supremacy Clause applies only to laws made “pursuant to” the Enumerated Powers of the Constitution. The Federal govt., for example, has the authority to demand that the state gov hand over information concerning persons suspected of violating immigration laws, but not to commandeer state or local law enforcement assets to engage in illegal alien “sweeps”. And no, I’m not defending illegal aliens, just saying that the Federal government has the responsibility to enforce federal law.
