Arrogance of California Knows No Bounds Governor Brown Still Committing Treason against the Constitution

Guest Post by Martin Armstrong

The Governor of California is just insane and out of control. Besides the boasting that California is its own country free to enter into treaties with Europe against the Constitution, now Governor Brown is restricting the freedom of movement of its citizens creating a list of States within the USA that California is imposing a travel ban. Here we have Governor Brown banning travel for which he had the audacity to criticize President Trump. Brown either belongs in a prison for Treason or an insane asylum. The jury should decide. This man is unqualified to be governor and is dangerous.

In January, California Attorney General Xavier Becerra announced the state would no longer fund employee travel to four states – Kansas, Mississippi, North Carolina and Tennessee. Now, with Alabama, Kentucky, South Dakota and Texas added to the list after each passed laws California officials described as discriminatory towards the LGBT community. So in other words, any state that disagrees with California should be put on the their Travel Ban.

Freedom of movement under United States Constitution is governed by the Privileges and Immunities Clause which states, “The Citizens of each State shall be entitled to all Privileges and Immunities of Citizens in the several States.” This issue was decided back in 1823 in an appellate decision Corfield v. Coryell, 6 Fed. Cas. 546 (1823). The freedom of movement for American citizens has been judicially recognized as a fundamental Constitutional right.

Additionally, the Commerce Clause of the Constitution, empowers Congress “to regulate commerce with foreign nations, and among the several States” ant Governor Brown. Once again, he is usurping federal powers and overruling the Constitution. He is simply out of control.

Let’s put this in perspective. He yells that RUssia deprive him of Hillary because they were trying to “influence” the election. Well, imposing sanctions on other states who disagree with California is trying to also “influence” the people of those states to kneel before the altar of Governor Brown who seems to want to dictate to the world how they should live. Governor Brown is imposing sanctions on other states for disagreeing with the will of California which is the same policy of the West imposing never ending sanctions on Russia for taking back the Crimea, which was their to begin with? California has no right whatsoever to impose any sanction upon another state within the USA nor restrict the movement of any citizen to travel among the states. Governor Brown seems to have lost it. His arrogance is off the charts and this is just unacceptable. He is lucky I am not president. I would cut off all federal funding for California until they comply with the constitution.

What’s next? Governor Brown imposes requirement upon cars to be electric and bans all citizens from driving to California with a car that does not meet California standards in accord with Paris? Just secede, invite Hillary to be the President of California, and be done with it.

“Governor Brown is restricting the freedom of movement of its citizens creating a list of States within the USA that California is imposing a travel ban.”

So how do we get on that list?

It seems like it would be a good thing to do, at least not something to be seen as a negative.

Wish it included their illegals too.

I agree that Brown is a pinko commie (haven’t used that one in years), and you are spot on with him usurping Federal Powers.

However, I believe the travel ban is limited to the State of California prohibiting State Employees from traveling to those states on taxpayer funds. It’s not a blanket ban on all Californians traveling which would be a very major problem, but kind of stupid since you would just say you are traveling to Nevada or Oregon and then go.

It’s a very ignorant State that has essentially become a part of Mexico. It’s not America anymore in the Cities; LA actually looks like a scene from Bladerunner, minus the flying cars.

Adios California.

Wish we could ban travel to the United States of all their Fruits and Nuts (but we’ll accept Conservatives). What’s holding up their secession; can we help?

I’m surprised he hasn’t had the Democrat-controlled legislature pass laws criminalizing the emigration from California by the white tax-payer class. They’ll probably try this when the white population of California drops below 30% or so. Can’t deprive those illegal aliens of their right to free shit, after all.

Trump needs to invade, reconquer, and install a military governor in, California – followed by mass deportations/executions. The same is probably true for Oregon and Washington State.

Brown is an idiot it’s true. However, the travel ban relates only to state employees traveling to other states in the course of their job duties. They are free to go, but the state will not pay their expenses. So it’s really a form of economic sanction against those states who have displeased the mighty Brown. Calling Becera’s announcement a travel ban imposed on the citizens of California is misleading.

Sorry guys. Californians can still roam around your states whenever they want.

In his first stint as Governor in the late seventies, he was known as “Governor Moonbeam.” Nothing much has changed except he is older and Linda Ronstadt is much fatter.

Not agreeing with moonbeam or any of his tactics, but in this case, saying “the state would no longer fund employee travel” is not exactly restricting the travel of any of it’s own citizens nor any other state’s. With all the other crap he gets away with, this is trivial and in the end will cause more blow back to California then anything else.

Any state that does not agree with the constitution should be able to secede from the union. Until the state secedes it should be required to abide by the constitution and any other laws of the union. However, any state that does secede should not have any of the benefits of being in the union as well as not having the obligations of being in the union. The US government is wrong in not allowing states to secede. California is wrong in not following the constitution while apparently not even having any intention of seceding.

a state is allowed to the procedures for secession as it is outlined in the contract between the states. but much like any contract that folks sign, simply because you eventually dont like it you cant just pick up and leave. And what about the folks in CA that do not want to secede? There were millions of voters in the state that did not want to leave. Your ignorance on the matter isnt doing you any favors, perhaps you should think this through before posting comments on which you know very little.

The moronic libtard snowflakes of Cali don’t even see that their beloved Marxist Communist Governor is stripping them of their freedoms while they all rally and point at Trumps love of the constitution and this country putting America first is somehow a bad thing. But being banned from State travel is a good thing. Maybe the governor will strip them of their rights of speak freely, finally some peace and quite…..recently I walked out of J Alexanders restaurant that I was to host a party of 22 for dinner as their front desk sign said no weapons allowed. I asked for mgmt and whipped out a safety contract for them to sign making them agree to $10m per family member if we are harmed as they have stripped us from our ability to protect ourselves and clearly state they would protect us by placing that sign there. It serves as a huge white flag of victimhood as a gun free killing zone and I want them to take on the role of protecting me. Needless to say they refused, I left the contract for them to read, and we went to a local pro gun establishment. I will do the same when entering Cali. First govt official, airport authority head when I land there next month….
