Report from Boston

Via The Unz Review

Commenter Rapparee writes:

I spent about four hours rubbernecking there today for laughs. Observations in no particular order:

-Besides the handful of bored-looking rally attendees trapped in the gazebo, 99.99% of protesters were from the far left. Though I searched hard, there was not a single identifiable Nazi or white supremacist anywhere within sight for the entire four hours, despite thousands of signs excoriating them. I actually overheard a few leftists talking of their disappointment with the lack of enemies.

-There were a lot of whites and blacks, but there seemed to be very few Hispanics, even relative to the city’s population. Of the few Hispanics on the common, I got the sense that most of them were just there napping or relaxing, rather than protesters. The few Hispanic protesters generally looked like Conquistador-Americans.

-Except for (presumably) cops and people traveling incognito like me, I only saw 2-4 Trump supporters, all fairly early in the day. I passed one chap in a MAGA hat and GOP t-shirt, to whom I gave a hat-tip and who quietly reciprocated with a nod. I saw two guys with an anti-Nazi & anti-Antifa sign that said nothing specific about President Trump. I chatted for a bit with a 19-year-old whose sign said “F*** Nazis, F*** Antifa, Donald Trump 2020“, hanging around at a quiet end of the common away from the commotion. He had apparently been surrounded by hundreds of angry protesters and rescued from the crowd by a team of cops, and wasn’t sure what to do with himself, so I advised him to steer clear of the big crowds and stick to the outskirts.

-Vermin Supreme put in an appearance, unsurprisingly.

-One Antifa group appeared to be chanting old 1920s Communist slogans in Italian, which I understand is bizarrely common.

There’s a memorial to Sacco & Vanzetti in the Boston Public Library, which the Mayor and Governor dedicated in 1997. I haven’t heard anything about taking it down.

-Notwithstanding the plethora of signs employing the word “f**k“, lots of (awful) parents brought their young children along, duly kitted out in propaganda-wear.

-The BPD seemed the very model of professionalism and discipline, from what I saw.

-At least one passerby within earshot seemed to assume that the large crowd of left-wing protesters was in fact a large crowd of Klansmen.

-There are a lot of homeless beggars who inhabit that neighborhood, but unsurprisingly, the egalitarian socialist protesters mostly ignored them. I didn’t see sign-wavers offer to buy any poor man a drink on a hot day, or even speak to one.

-Left-wing protesters go to alarming lengths to make themselves as ugly as possible. It’s not simply that they have a lot of tattoos and piercings, but that these are peculiarly hideous in placement and form. They also dress horribly. I wouldn’t be surprised at all if some of them are demonically possessed, which is one reason I stopped for Eucharistic adoration a few blocks away after leaving. You can imagine the contrast.

-There was a big commotion at one point and I heard “They found one!“. Some distance away, a crowd was moving as a unit, and I heard things like “Get him! Get the Nazi! Smash Fascists!“. Closer up, I saw a frightened normal-looking guy (with no political badges of any kind) surrounded buy six or seven big cops, plowing through the crowd at high speed. After he had passed, one lass exclaimed “I got to yell at a Nazi!” as though this had made her day, but of course nobody in our part of the common had the slightest idea who the guy was, or why the mob started chasing him in the first place. I didn’t stick around after that to have them decide I was the next “Nazi” they were going to smash.

“I just would tell people not to worry about the Councils dissolving or the Kennedy Center stuff. It’s a blip (as Sundance himself has said on the councils).

Back in 2011, I think it was, Trump hit the Birther stuff hard. When he did that, he received huge blowback. Boycotts at some of his golf courses and being called a racist. All of it.

In time, it all faded away and he became President. People stopped boycotting his clubs, people stopped talking about it.

Not only will all of this hubbub pass, Trump will be stronger for it because he stared down the race card once again and came out unscathed. It’s like building up immunity to the poison of a snake.

Trump made the correct calculation that he could not give in to the banshees wailing about his Charolttesville response. That’s why he did the Q&A at the Trump Tower presser, to go out on his own terms on the issue.

The Left — and I’m talking about Obama’s outfit here that is likely coordinating the pressure tactics putting CEO’s and public figures in positions where they feel they must distance themselves from Trump because of Virginia — knows that if Trump emerges unharmed from Charlottesville (which he has done), they are done. They are out of ammunition because the race card was all they had left after Russia.

Thus, the all-in nature of the last week. Scorched earth. Heavy strain to try to get people to leave councils and the cabinet. The Left has to make it look like Trump paid a “cost” for Virginia or Trump wins.

Well, Trump did not pay a cost. And he’s just ‘deferring’ on things like the Kennedy Center honors because he knows, as in the past, all of this will blow over in time and his decision to go hard on Virginia, as he did with Birtherism, will have paid off.

What’s great about Trump is that, although he’s a political novice, he’s fought difficult ‘wars’ of PR in the past. He knows how to do it, and he’s not afraid to do it.

The base loves Trump because he fights and he won’t fold. He’s still standing, and that is the ultimate victory that The Left (and The Uniparty, and The Deep State, etc) cannot take from him. As long as he is still in charge, he wins and they lose.

The new wave of BLM and Confederate monument stuff is part of the attempt to take the ‘conch’ away from Trump and put it in the hands of the Dems’ favorite race card issue. But as Bannon said, the more the Dems focus on race, the better the GOP’s and Trump’s chances are in elections.

Right now, Trump is in fantastic position. Don’t be concerned with any minor setbacks. Trump definitely has got this.” Make America Great, over at CTH

Star,
Your comment sounds good, logic and analysis.
I hope you are right…

Rapparee says he was there in the commons and
alas, no nazis/KK/supremes to bite. So, if a melee
is planned and the “other half” doesn’t show, well,
nothing happens. One question…were there no BLM
people climbing statues?

IMHO, the Charlottesville “happening” was a
planned event with paid actor provocateurs
leading the show. Again, stay away from these
crowds, or peek from the fringe. And another again,
“if they give a war, don’t show up for it.”

Has anyone noticed the Russian hacks are now
characterized as an attempt to “embarrass”
Clinton, rather than rig the machines/vote?

Suzanna, haven’t we heard, “oh, he’s DEFINITELY finished this time” every single week since he declared his candidancy? Trump is a bad dude. NAFTA is being renegotiated as we speak. He’s exposing worm politicians in his own party. This is a process. He is relentless. Watch him go.

Suzanna, the left is going to be swinging at phantom Nazis for a long time now and it’s going to be very effective at wearing them out without making any meaningful contact.

If Trump can hold the course and keep the narrative going that the “alt-left” is an equivalency with Nazis, and the Nazis keep not showing up… you can see how this will have been a bomb long in the making being planted straight into the Coyote’s hands as the road runners “Meep Meep!” away.

If you see something happen Nazi/KKK related in the future, you can guarantee it’s a setup and it will be even more obvious than Chartlottesville was.

Actually, from what I understand, Trump praised the “peaceful protesters.” I don’t think there was a mention of BLM or Antifa. Who were the peaceful protesters? It wasn’t BLM or Antifa who got in fights with the police following the end of the rally and after the so-called “white supremacists” left.

KoKo- that is probably a good idea. I am stumped as to why the police in every venue are ordered to stand down and let these thugs beat people. How is it that this order is given in every small town or big city, and why are permits issued knowing this is their SOP?

The majority of Antifa (or MCS) is white, so they wear masks. The majority of Black Lives Matter are black and “they all look alike” anyway, so they don’t need masks. 🙂

I bet the white guy who threw the first punch was an FBI or BPD provocateur.

BLM Member: “They start this shit and they fucking get away with it.” Very telling line.

Is its the German National Socialists against the German Marxist Communists all over again, fighting others, and fighting each other at the same time?

I normally don’t post here but felt we need all eyewitness reports out there to all get a better truthful look at what happened in Boston:

OK,after attendance report from me in Boston,no pics/videos,really needed a 360 degree look at all times though stayed at back of crowds.

I will say for most part peaceful, yah,a lot of dumb signs including many saying “Communism will win” along with all the no Nazis ect.I would say about 70% of the crowd muffins, would not worry about them physically in any situation, except, well, pack mentality, and here we go down that road.

This starts off as a “where is a cop when you need one” story.A group of about 30-40 people where circled around a kid(18-19)wearing a red MAGA hat, they were yelling at him to leave/go home yet had him circled and where herding him towards a fence, sigh,I started following and felt if they really attacked was against everything I said going into the fray with only me knife,I really thought that kid was gonna get ripped up!Suddenly 4-5- Boston cops come right up to the kid and start to get him out of there, the crowd backed off! Thanks Boston PD for saving this guy and perhaps me from great bodily harm, amazing the respect one gets with a Glock 23 on ones belt!

Saw a lot of other hatred of that sort but not like a pack ready to attack,I got interviewed for a few local cable stations and one reporter from Providence Journal interviewed me,any comes up will post it.

I did as walked around alone come across some other for lack of better word normal folks,we had a lot in common and talked to a few about building AR’s,gave them some advice and sites to hit, that was worthwhile in itself.

I will say till you encounter these folks in large #’s you really don’t give em a lot of thought, you see them in action and thier thinking/lack there of makes one worry about this country.

Was a fun ride on subway out of town, protesters joking how they got a guy to remove his shirt as they found it offensive,I at that point with 13 of the muffins didn’t care(once again, grey man failure!)and mentioned lucky he was not armed and didn’t shoot you.Interesting how while not in a large pack they shrink a bit, never underestimate your opponents but did read them right and was just frustrated. You do not realize how nuts some of these folks really are till you see it,we have a lot of challenges ahead as a country.

In conclusion for now,I came away with two worthwhile things:

The first was in a tough situation realize am willing to risk harm to help others even with ugly odds against me.

The second thing was,I and all reading this, you do not have enough ammunition no matter what you think!

I was thinking that if the rightists want to screw with the blue state big cities, they out to have one of these rallys every month. The cities owe them protection, and the extra police must cost a fortune. Bankrupt them! There will be two of these rallys nearby where I live, and it will be interesting to watch. The whole world will be watching–the cops.

In history men of good report wore the “FORGET ME NOT” as their nation spiraled into a Nationalist Socialist Movement . We must work within and behind the scenes to undermine and sabatoge their efforts at every juncture while befriending them with trust till the time is right . There is a cloud over our country and only men and women of honor and integrity can shine the light on what is and has been done . We can no longer stand idly by assuming things will work out or be ok . They will not and are not . Prepare to defend yourselves from enemies foreign and especially domestic now !

I kept an eye on Boston live streaming, including lots of aerial footage, for about four hours.

I am pleased the mayor and police of Boston proved conclusively that the mayor and police in Charlottesville are imbeciles or utterly compromised, probably both. When the police are ordered to prevent a riot, they know how to carry it out.

I also measured the day as an epic fail for the left. There was no opportunity for confrontation because their foes, the sponsors of the rally, disappeared somewhere. They were left with picking on hapless individuals as described above.

Have you ever noticed you can tell someone is a white liberal just by looking at them? I’m not talking about the weird tattoos and piercings, the transgenders and obvious homos and feminists. I’m talking about people that would be said to look like “normal” folks, people we may work with. To me, they have a certain look that’s hard to explain. I can always spot them. Others say they can’t. Am I the only one that sees it?

Not entirely true that the sponsors didn’t show up or that the sponsors of the rally were the foes that the liberals were looking for. The sponsors of the free speech rally did show up and a few speakers did speak, including Shiva Ayyadurai, an Indian immigrant who is running as a Republican for the senate and at least one libertarian. The sponsors and participants of the rally did leave early because of all of the hullabaloo. The foes the liberals were looking for were Nazis, KKK, and white supremacists, but since the rally was actually about free speech, not white supremacism, none of them showed up at all. So to anyone who’s paying attention the liberals came out of this looking like supreme idiots protesting against something that didn’t exist.
