To the Barricades! : We Will At Least Be Less Bored

Guest Post by Fred Reed

Katie, bar the ever-lovin’ door. Compromise seems a forlorn hope in today’s strange version of America. Anger runs too deep. All that is left is to choose sides. We will then see whether the country sinks—continues sinking–into a Soviet future already largely upon us, or we see armed mobs battling in the streets.

Does this sound crazy? I don’t think so. The hostility is beyond anything I have seen in what has become a depressingly long life. In the media, on the web, anger seethes. Countries both civilized and not have plunged into bloodshed over as little. Think of Sunnis and Shias, Irish Protestants and Irish Catholics, Spanish and Basques.

In America, friends talk carefully to each other because they want to remain friends. Armed mobs take to the streets, blocking highways, shouting down speakers, burning cities, looting malls, playing the Knockout Game, organizing huge demonstrations. Things are far worse than in the upheavals of the Sixties. That rebellion, now receding from living memory, had a concrete and attainable goal: preventing young men from being forced to fight in a remote war in which they had no stake. When the draft ended, so did the riots.

Today’s hatreds are not about anything in particular. They are about everything in general, and thus irresolvable. The white insurrectionists seem to be adolescents of thirty-five, gripped by the strange immaturity that so many have noticed, angry at a world that they mistake for their parents. The blacks are furious because they somehow do not succeed in modern society. Their opposition, the Deplorables, feel drowned in everything they detest and fear. No peace is possible except by political coercion or conflict in the streets.

Half the country, led by New York, wants to control, and does control, everything of importance to the other half. Everything is decided remotely: what your children learn in school, what you can’t say to them because they might tell their teachers; who you have to hire, with whom you have to associate, what religious practices are permitted, whether you can have a Christmas tree in the town square or sing carols on the public streets, whether you can defend yourself and your family. New York versus the Deplorables. The city holds the high cards.

Bitter conflicts force the taking of sides, often with people one does not like. For example, I think Trump is a horse’s ass, dangerous, naive, uninformed, and a thoroughgoing damned fool. I detest the KKK (which barely exists, but never mind) and disagree with the Alt-Right on many things. Yet when I look at the other side, the armed bands, the censorship, thought control, indoctrination, the re-writing of history, their media arm, the identity politics, the push for control, control, control—I think,“I’ll take Trump—gack–and certainly the Deplorables.” And of course if violence comes, it’s one or the other. You can’t reason with a mob armed with lengths of rebar.

There is no principle in any of this. It is visceral. Animalic mobs of ill-bred semiliterates vandalize statues as eagerly as Muslims blowing up Buddhist monuments. This is war, of low intensity but still war. Culture war at first, but tending toward baseball-bat war. And the federal government sides with the vandals. So far the attacks not been answered, but a lot of the country is thinking, “Bring it on.” Conservatives are not creatures of the herd, and do not wave placards. But they too are armed.

The campaign highly orchestrated. The professional touch shows. The anger existed before Trump, and will exist after him, but he is being used by those who want to bring the Establishment, the Deep State, back into the White House.

Some time ago a fellow named Shicklgruber, a genius at marketing and cynical as Machiavelli, explained the technique for herding the public: Have a few simple ideas and repeat them over and over and over and over and over and over. Intellectuals, he said, want to make propaganda by offering complex ideas, and changing them frequently. This is because intellectuals become bored with simple ideas and want variety. Wrong, said Schick. Keep it simple and repeat it and repeat it and repeat it.

The public is stupid, he said, few think, their ignorance is profound, even the intelligent are usually ignorant and emotional. They will believe anything if told often enough. It is like training dogs. (He proved extraordinarily successful at marketing, though his reputation was later somewhat tarnished, but that is another story.)

JewsarebloodsuckersJewsarebloodsuckersJewsarebloodsuckersTrumpisKGBTrumpisKGBTrumpisKGBWhiteisevilWhiteisevilWhiteisevilWhiteisevilRacismiseverywhereRacismiseverywhereRacismiseverywhereTrumkpisaNaziTrumkpisaNaziTrumkpisaNazi….

This this was wildly successful in a forgotten time and a remote place called Weimar.

Anyone who has worked in politics or journalism can see how the thing is being done. There was the invention of Russian hacking, Trump’s racism, his hostility to Jews, his admiration for “White Supremacists,” who do not exist, and all the rest. Saturation by the media is of course the backbone–that, and making sure that the public never hears anything contrary. For the same reason, you see the same commercial seven times during the Superbowl, TrumpisWhiteSupremacistTrumpisWhiteSupremacistTrumpisWhiteSupremacist.

This is vintage Schicklgruber, and bears out his contempt for the public. I confess to a certain admiration for a thing well done. When New York gets serious, it works wonders. Control the media, it seems, and you control America.

What New York wants of course is Pence in the White House, a cipher in the pockets of Wall Street, the arms racket, and big corporations. I do not say this in hopes that saying it will have any effect. Writing coumns seldom affects anything. Those who know what is going on already know, and the placard-wavers won’t read it.

Will New York impose a virulent political correctness–read “submission”–on the whole country? My guess is that it will. But conceivably  not. It badly misread the anger in the country that elected Trump. Perhaps it again makes the same miscalculation. We will find out when they impeach Trump.

As always, America’s racial catastrophe intrudes. Blacks demand–they always demand–removal of Confederate statues. Most can’t spell “Confederacy,” don’t know the dates of the Civil War, can’t name the three branches of government, have never read a book, but they demand. And demand. And demand. “Whah mah free stuff?” There is no solution, and nobody believes there is, but race is a battering ram for attacking the Deplorables.

Clearly the people at the top, in the editorial suites in Manhattan, at Goldman Sachs, at Lockheed-Martin, know what they are doing. They want Trump out so they can continue looting. From their point of view, the placard-carriers and ball-bat wielders are, merely useful idiots. It is an odd and amusing alliance. The useful idiots, Leftists all, apparently do not know that they are carrying water for the arms industry and international finance.

The country, methinks, approaches a decision point. Aux armes, citoyens. Let the games begin.

It was on ZH too. Fuck em. US out of the UN, UN out of the US. Thats a simple, easy to repeat phrase that I can get behind, although I doubt the fellow Fred mentions would approve of it.

I, too, marvel at the stupidity of the left. Not those calling the shots, mind you, but those out there throwing bags of urine on people and protesting trump at every turn. They are carrying water for wall street, whom they profess to hate, the MIC, whom they profess to hate, the neo cons and their endless drive for war, whom they profess to hate, the CIA/NSA types, whom they profess to hate, the ‘establishment’ of both major parties, whom they profess to hate, etc etc. Sane people would want peaceful relations with Russia, too, but their nonsense has made that impossible. Giving credit where it is due, the ‘russian hacking’ narrative, of which there is still zero evidence, has taken hold, and is now an established fact in the minds of many. These people are out there helping all of these causes and entities they would claim to be against, and not one in 1000 of them even seems to have a clue.

If I didn’t have young children, I would say this country deserves to get what it wants, and get it good and hard, to paraphrase HLM.

Check out the comments on that yahoo article, actually very encouraging. Intelligent productive people are waking up. America has allowed certain segments of society free reign to spread their degeneration and ignorance like a cancer throughtout the country. Our govt. has actually greatly contributed to (or actually caused) these foul groups to metastasize and sicken the rest of the body through our tax dollars allowing them to recklessly procreate and become more degenerate w each new batch. A reset is needed and will come. These animals crying racism while living off the “racists” money are about to get a lesson in the hierarchy and natural order of man, and their place in it.

Really, liberty is supposed to solve all this you, me, us, them, we, they vs… Everyone has a right to their own beliefs. Where it gets all fucked up imo, is in education, the media and all these fucked up cultures we have to endure. They don’t assimilate and that is going to break it all down. IMO of course.

“Blacks demand… the removal of Confederate statues.”
Pretty sure it’s mostly whites doing that.

I believe its about 27% of americans overall that want them removed. The place closest to me thats dealing with this, NOLA, had a similar disposition. It IS mostly whites making the demand, they are behind it all. The dindus are just useful idiots in most cases. In the city of NOLA, a slight majority of blacks wanted them removed, but statewide in LA it was only like 40%, and an overwhelming majority of people in the state did not. I decided when the first one came down that I have seen NOLA/ Bourbon street for the last time. Fuck them. I won’t even stop to get gas in anything considered part of NO when driving on I10. They will get no more money from me. If you guys haven’t ever been there, don’t bother. Its a crime ridden shithole. Bourbon street is disgusting, smells like an bar rag covered in vomit.

Agree with all above about NOLA, Wife and I went in 2005 for 5 days and it is a sewer. The best thing about it was the swamp tour, eating turtle soup, seeing gators and nutria’s. Also the aquarium was nice at that time.

What is to be done? I’ve been mulling that over for awhile now. More so since the lunacy appears to be reaching a crescendo, or is it merely the overture?

Out here in the west, the Queen of the Underbrush and I are nearing the point of being as prepared as we deem it prudent to be without going full retard into prepper fantasy world. Given the trends, it seems foolish not to be. We are settling into waiting mode to see what happens next.

Rational thought and cogent analysis are approaching the vanishing point in this country. Wisdom is that little tiny dot at the end of the road in those perspective drawings we did in school. Common sense is no longer common.

Literally everything seems to be driven by emotion these days, and when rationality exits the vehicle, emotion is not equipped to take over. Feelings and opinions are awesome though. One doesn’t have to back them up with anything. All one has to do is weep uncontrollably, or hurl mindless invective, or sputter indignantly and the world is your oyster!

The mentally ill, genderly fluid, and unutterably weird now have a shot at forcing the rest of us to face legal sanction if we refuse to cater to their particular form of insanity.

The purveyors of the “there’s no such thing as race” line have very nearly made everything in the country about race. That’s quite a trick in my book. It’s amazing that something that is “just a social construct” is in the process of deconstructing society.

Those who are endlessly offended by the past have used their ignorance of the nuance of history as a magic eraser to accelerate the process of eradicating that of which they were, and remain, stunningly ignorant. That is mental gymnastics at world class level.

Again, the question arises. What is to be done? Short answer…I haven’t a clue.
Be intellectually honest in all things. Try to be kind. Stand for the truth. Be prepared to defend yourself against the philistines I suppose. After all, they appear to be in the ascendant. Mr. Reed is correct. It appears the time for choosing is nearly upon us.

A certain stoicism might be in order for the times we are living through. Try to banish fear of the coming chaos and live in the present moment. Perhaps Epicurus was on to something:

“Death is nothing to us, since when we are, death has not come,
and when death has come, we are not.

Fred hits another one out the park.

He would not have written this article perhaps even five years ago. More and more and more writers from all walks and political views are concluding that Bad Shit is coming to America..

The only way I cope is by thinking about 38G.

We have a “new” TBP chick on the premises. She’s a survivor and I am trying to get anonymous images of her implants and a good “feel” of what it feels like.

Gotta love TBP.

Lol!! Maggie, you can get images of “breast reconstruction” on Google. I made the terrible mistake of doing that before my mastectomy. I don’t recommend it, however, you will be scarred for life!

Better to go to Pink Perfect.com where I got my prosthetic nipples, it’s not so scary. I could have done 3d nipple tatoos but when a friend told me she almost threw up during the tatoo procedure, I said, nuh huh! No thank you! I will glue mine on, thank you very much!

As for how they feel? Well, hmmm, very ripe grapefruits maybe might be a good idea of how they feel. Slightly softer, maybe, but not much. I’m thin, though. Women who have some fat on them fare better. I had a fat graft from my thighs. Yeah, they didn’t get much fat for all the pain and trouble I went through. Helped a little, though. Added some contour.

Men who have wives or girlfriends with implants for enhancement might know what I mean by the hardness. It’s even worse when you have full implants vs partials for enhancement. They place them under your pecs so they stay in place. I can flex my pecs and move them..lol! What a skill, huh?

The thing I get from Mr. Reed is that his experience in many cultures, allows him to see trends forming earlier than most could pick up on. We who are immersed in the USA culture tend to float along with the flow and not see the waterfall until it’s under us.
But I am witnessing anomalies in the flow, my mother in her 80’s and a staunch liberal is seeing the need of violence to “make things right”. My co workers are still finding Russian meddling in every closet of the White House. This to me is proving Mr. Reeds observations of the medias repetitive manipulation to be dead on and his predictions to be close to fruition.
My conclusion is to read xrugger’s post again, as I couldn’t have said it better myself. Love to all, play the man and find that which is true in your heart and hold to it.

Your points are well taken and knowing is the first calamity for all who see the Webb being weaved . My family are all old enough to complain (over 21) because when I travel the road ways where it’s an overnight run to get home I am armed . The beef is always the same THEY WONT LIKE YOU HAVING A GUN . My response is always the same : I avoid confrontation and my weapon is handy should I be forced and unable to escape a situation . Cannot run anymore so …? Oh and who the fuck is THEY ? Because THEY are the cause of my concerns !

Are the various protesters & anti-protesters actually representative of the people they claim to stand for ?
Are the protests actually widespread and either a nuisance or something you’d join ?
Or instead are a few hundred pests from both sides just showing off solely for the flock of TV trucks in tow ?
A few made-for-TV events don’t add up to a civil war .

Haven’t fact-checked, but I read that NYC is named after an English VIP who was in the slave trade. So, change the name! 😀

I’m getting closer and closer to going downtown to a sidewalk café, wearing a MAGA cap. Curious to see whether someone is foolish enough to offer me grievous bodily harm–which would be a once-only mistake on their part. 😀

There’s a lot of entertainment available in all this idiocy.

I “discovered” Fred somewhere around his fifth posting. Haven’t missed any, since then. His two murder mysteries are good. His stories about his days around the DC cop shop are also worth the read.

I’ve lived rural and been a sort of a prepper for over fifty years. Never seemed to be more than basic common sense, really. The older I got, the less attractive that large conglomerations of people became. So, I have concerns for citified friends but few for myself. Antifa et al don’t like the boonies.
