A white male professor of philosophy has discovered that in order to have an academic career in these days he must find “white privilege” everywhere. Reason, says Professor Caputo, “is a white male Euro-Christian construction.” Since reason is white, reason is not neutral. It implies that what is not white is not rational. “So white is philosophically relevant and needs to be philosophically critiqued.”

I can’t say that this would be all bad. This way we wouldn’t have nuclear weapons and the frustrating digital age. But before I vote for it, I want to know what feminist science is. I have a disturbing feeling that it brings with it the genocide of the white heterosexual male. I have a few questions;
— who in the fuck is John Caputo, where in the fuck has he been before this?
— why the fuck should I give a fuck what this fucking fuck has to say about ANY fucking thing what so fucking ever?
Answer: He’s just another fuck trying to get his 15 minutes of fame.
If PCR wants to write something about every two-bit college professor LOSER , well, so be it — he’ll have enough material sources for the next 100 years. But, is it REALLY newsworthy? I don’t think so.
Caputo is a retired professor of philosophy, so he has plenty of time to think up this drivel, since he never made much of a splash during his career. Hopefully he gets to spend a little time puttering around his tomato patch and putting orange wedges in his mouth to scare the grandkids before the Big One hits.
So now we’ve reached the point where a university professor is actually using his ability to reason in order to debunk the concept of reason (at least the version rooted in “whiteness”). I’m not entirely sure how one can make the case that reason can be sliced and diced into different versions depending on the prevailing political agenda, but then what do I know…I’m white.
Interestingly, white reason is why a university exists that will actually employ the sort of bonehead that will argue that reason is a subjective matter. We are truly on the eve of destruction when this type of vacuous nonsense is vomited out of the cakehole of a “professor of philosophy.”
We have indeed traveled far along the road to hell when the teachers of our children use the very spark of intelligence that makes them human to light the torches that will burn down the civilization that brought them into existence in the first place.
Right, so maths, science, facts and now reason is racist.

Black and orange are more inclusive than Halloween? What about all the other colors? This is exactly why I always vote against education.

But Professor Caputo is partly correct. Reason is a construct of Western Civilization which of course is a product of the European people. It is part of our culture which is informed by our genes. This explains why Western Civilization has been so successful in contrast to the most non-Western countries in Africa, Asia, the Middle East and parts of Latin America and that are not guided by reason. Japan, South Korea and perhaps China may be the exception but this is far from clear.
