IF ONLY GUNS WERE ILLEGAL

A mentally deranged Atheist using an illegal firearm slaughters innocent people and is killed by a law abiding citizen with a legal firearm before killing more, and the left wingers call for making guns illegal. The stupid, it burns bright among left wingers.

Two heroic locals have been praised for stopping the worst mass shooting in Texas which left at least 27 dead.

Devin Patrick Kelley, 26, was leaving First Baptist Church of Sutherland Springs after he opened fire on parishioners during mass when Stephen Willeford, 55, confronted him.

Texas Department of Public Safety Regional Director Freeman Martin said Willeford, a keen biker, had ‘grabbed his rifle and engaged the suspect.’

A local resident told DailyMail.com that Willeford, who attends a different church, was first alerted to the shooting when his daughter called him saying there was a man in body armor gunning down church goers.

Stephen Willeford, 55, (left) and Johnnie Langendorff (right) have been praised as heroes after they were able to stop Texas gunman Devin Kelley’s rampage

He grabbed his gun and bravely headed down to confront the killer.

The local said that while Willeford has no military experience, he is an excellent shot, and when he came face to face with Kelley, he didn’t hesitate; he shot in between Kelley’s body armor, hitting him in his side.

The 26-year-old had dropped his Ruger assault rifle and climbed in an SUV to flee the scene.

He said that Kelley had taken a hostage in the passenger seat as he fled.

But another local resident, Johnnie Langendorff, who had witnessed the confrontation refused to let the shooter get away. Both he and Willeford, a local plumber, jumped in his truck and gave chase.

In a Facebook post, Langendorff’s girlfriend Summer Caddel described how the pair had ‘jumped in my boyfriend’s truck and they chased that sick b*****d down in pursuit until the cops could catch up. He was able to run the shooter off of the road on 539!’

Langendorff told KSAT 12 that he’d been speeding at 95mph, while on the phone to dispatch, while Willeford kept his rifle trained on the gunman’s car.

As they approached a sharp curve in the road, near the 307 and 539, he said Kelley appeared to lose control and his car swerved off the road.

‘That’s when I put the truck in park,’ he said. ‘The other gentleman jumped out, and had his rifle on him. He didn’t move after that.’

Caddel added that Kelley died a few feet from her boyfriend.

The local, who is familiar with the heroes, said that Willeford made sure the passenger Kelley had taken hostage was on the ground out of the way when they approached the car.

But he claims that Kelley was already dead when they found him, having succumb to blood loss from the gunshot wound he suffered at the church.

Martin confirmed that police had found Kelley dead, saying that: ‘We are not sure if it was self inflicted or if he was shot by a local resident.’

I have it on pretty good authority that there are a couple of armed worshippers at every service at my church. This is in addition to visible security outside. No one can teach a Sunday School class without being fingerprinted for a background check, and parents must sign their kids in and out. Since the San Bernardino incident, I experience a little uneasiness whenever I am in church. It’s not Norman Rockwell’s world anymore and never will be again.

I was building a road for a neighbor yesterday so I wore my earphones most of the day. They have a radio built in and I listened to NPR for about 6 hours straight.

It was pretty scary. Delusional is probably the best word to use, but it also had a brittle edge to it, like even the latte sipping swells that populate their world were ready to break bad and go full blown crazy on the people in flyover country. There was so much condescension, so many instances of hardcore editorializing in every ‘news” segment that it was jarring to listen to. I don’t think these people understand just how isolated they are from the vast majority of America.

Not sure about vast majority. Obama won twice and Hillary got more votes. Thankfully this is a union of states, and Trump won the vast majority of those.

Clinton got somewhere in the neighborhood of 66 million votes in a country that has a population of 325 million.

I stand by my ‘vast majority of Americans’ line.

That too.; My point being just as her 10 point lead was a fiction, so too is the idea that most Americans are progressive leftists. They certainly are louder and they control the mouthpieces of society, but they are a minority.

Your 325 million includes infants an felons. FYI, neither are eligible to vote. But, it does make your numbers suit your purposes.

About 225 million are actually eligible to vote.

I think I am starting to understand why we occasionally fail to connect intellectually.

My numbers suit my purpose because I was being as exact in my sentence structure as I was in my math skills.

I try very hard to be precise with the words I use so when I wrote the words “I don’t think these people understand just how isolated they are from the vast majority of America.” I was not speaking of the VOTERS but ALL of the citizens. Voters are a minority and I didn’t even factor in the 100 million illegals (yeah, yeah, I know, 11 million but that’s coming from the same people who claim we went to the Moon, so 100 million based on my eyeballs seems about right).

We good here? You need a hug?

FWIW, I read that he purchased (presumably) the gun at a gun shop in San Antonio and both lied on the form (why didn’t a background check catch this?) and listed a address in Colorado. (This is assuming the reporting is factual)

Federal law, if I understand it, makes out of State sales illegal unless the buyer receives it as a transfer through a licensed dealer in the State he lives in and in most States, including Colorado, this would mean a background check at the transferring FFL holders business before he was allowed to take possession of it.

Apparently the system failed for some reason.

A question for anyone living in Texas, would he have also had to have a background check there for the purchase or would it only his home State that would be performing it?

Actually, if you can pass the background check, you can indeed legally buy a gun from a FFL (only) when you are out of state. Probably not in all states (taxifornia comes to mind), yet it is the law. Private sales are illegal to out-of-staters.

That info is posted on F-Troop’s (BATF) website FAQ section. It’s the FBI doing the background check, not the state.

The lunatic / monster must have had some reason for using an out-of-state address. Maybe a false SSN? In any case, someone intent on a massacre – suicide doesn’t worry about breaking laws that will merely get you 10-20 years in the slammer. Texas might have dragged out “Old Sparky” for him had he lived to face a trial.

Cultural Marxism is indeed a Curse upon our nation.I was reading Deuteronomy 28 :15-50 about the Curses on Disobedience. Some would say that Old testament and it doesn’t apply to us.Not according to the New Testament Theologians and Rabbinic Elders I have spoken with on line. These verses apply to any nation that turns away from the Lord.Have a read yourselves. Especially the plagues.

It’s legal to buy a rifle in another state but not a pistol. A pistol can be bought online but must be shipped to a FFL in the state of residence. Soros is funding these assholes to the tune of billions of dollars but is still walking free. WTF is wrong with this picture?

Reminds me of a joke:

An old lady comes into the house one day to find a thief rifling through her cupboards and since she’s on her way home from a Bible study she yells out a line of scripture-

“Act 2:28” (repent and receive forgiveness)

The guy throws his hands in the air and waits until the police arrive. The cop sees the frail little old lady and asks the thief why he didn’t just run and he said “I thought she had an ax and two .38’s.”

It’s every bit as important to listen to what your opponent is saying as it is to sit in an echo chamber. You ever see a war movie where there wasn’t a guy listening in to enemy transmissions on the radio?
I’m telling you these folks are already gearing up for a pogrom and the only thing that keeps it from happening is the number of guns in the hands of the citizenry. You can hear it in their voice.

hsf, I believe you are in the ballpark. It has been my conclusion the Hillary people thought they were so in the clear they started prepping for what would have been a social democrat authoritarian police state well before the election. They could not wait to begin shredding the Bill of Rights. The Dept. of Justice was demonstrating in your face corruption as were most agencies like IRS. Immunity deals with political criminals like Cheryl Mills and many other Clinton associates who were then allowed to act as legal counsel for others in cases which they were involved in. It is just mind boggling the contempt they showed for non elites and rule of law.
All the unhinged filth I see on TV and in the streets are so hysterical exactly because they had reality interfere with their evil dream or as you put it, their long dreamed of pogrom against all that is decent in America. They thought they were going to be emanantizing the Eschaton. Sick bastards.

Just speculating out loud here:

89% Catalonia independence vote!?! . . . can’t have people talking about that . . . operation Vegas Fish Barrel, stat! . . . Well, that worked a treat, how’s that goad the right into pulling a Fort Sumter thing coming along? 4 November? Sounds good, carry on . . . Damn. Sure glad we’ve got a Plan B on deck, if shooting up a Texas church – BTW, the “atheist nut-job” is a real nice touch – doesn’t get the yahoos to fire first, it will at least keep that pathetic Antifa damp squib out of the news cycle. Make it happen, ASAP.

Not to worry. It’s just a metaphorical reference to the Confederates firing the first shots of the war, which many argue was at the least tactically premature – if not actually unnecessary – and that it cost them a lot of moral support, hence was strategically disastrous.

Hondo, I live in South Carolina, and we changed our blue laws several years ago, probably the last state to do so. If you live in an area that is that behind South Carolina and still has Sunday blue laws, it’s time to move. That’s a sad state of affairs. We are the southern extreme of the Bible Belt.

When Facebook, google and YouTube censor politics they should be forced to change their license from media to political action committee. My point is nothing is being said about Venezuela, Sweden and other countries that have banned guns but are facing daily gun attacks by bad people. All the good people have been disarmed and are nothing but sitting sheep waiting on a wolf to kill them. If your rights are taken away to protect yourself then those taking the rights should have repercussions when they do not protect you….sue the shit out of the govt for not protecting you. If they win in court and cannot protect you then they should allow means to protect ones self and enact a second amendment, wait we have that all ready….fucking libtards run in circles don’t they.

“Outlaw guns, and only outlaws will have guns”

Why is it that libtards never call for vehicles to be banned when used in killing many people (recently). Only guns are blamed but never any other means used as a weapon. Someone above hit it spot on, you can hear it in their voices, they want full dictatorship and need to ban guns in order for it to happen. Soon we must all choose……die on our feet or serve on our knees…..it’s coming and yes in your lifetime…. choose wisely.

Y’all do realize these are all govt shrills doing these mass killings and were enacted and built for a Hillary presidency…..she was going to use these to remove the second amendment….now these govt shrills use them to keep alive the gun ban narrative until the next screwball libtard is in office…..buy your guns now from individuals, unregistered, as the next demoncrat will mute or remove the 2nd amendment…..then this shit gets really real, as in Joe Dirt real.
