The FISA Memo, Obama, And The Election that Almost Wasn’t

Authored by Tom Luongo,

“Round up the usual suspects,” will be as far as the Democrats will be willing to go in the wake of the FISA memo’s release. There is nothing in that memo that anyone following the Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s investigation doesn’t already know.

All the memo does is corroborate the bread crumbs left behind by a drip feed of leaks, counter-leaks and good ol’ fashioned investigative journalism.  Since the memo is based on actual evidence that the FBI admits is real but will not allow us to see, the memo itself can be taken as fact.

The FBI has the evidence.  They’ve showed it to the House Intelligence Committee.  Both agree on the facts.  So, by extension, the memo is all the evidence we need.

Put that in your DNC-scripted talking point pipe and blow it out your ass.

Conclusions Matter

Now that the timeline and paper trail have been determined the real implications of the memo and its facts can be discussed.  I’m no longer interested in the game of cut and thrust to stop the truth from coming out.

I’m only interested now in the conclusions we can draw from the memo itself.

And those conclusions are chilling.

The out-going Obama administration, at the highest levels in coordination with the media, conspired to create news stories that supported a FISA warrant based on politically-motivated opposition research to undermine the newly-elected President of the United States.

Moreover, it knowingly omitted material facts to the court not once, but four times, to keep that surveillance warrant open in service of this operation.  A warrant the FBI deputy director, Andrew McCabe, testified under oath to Congress that was key to its issuance.

They knew the dossier on Trump, compiled by Michael Steele, was unverifiable. They hid its origin and motivation from the court.  The information from this warrant and the details of the dossier were used to move public opinion and Congress into supporting Robert Mueller’s investigation.

But, to what end?

To disgrace and force from office the President of the United States.  Thus, these people, and the leadership of the Democratic Party, President Obama himself and Hillary Clinton’s staff all conspired to criminally disenfranchise more than 60 million Americans who voted for Donald Trump.

To say that this is bigger than Watergate is like calling World War II a minor kerfuffle.

What About the Voters!?

Think about this for one second and you know what I’m saying.

All of these people are guilty, at a minimum of corruption, conspiracy and fraud.  I’m no legal scholar, so I’m sure the list of offenses is longer than one of Hillary Clinton’s tirades after someone criticized her latest pantsuit atrocity.

This ultimately opens all of these organizations up to the biggest civil rights class action lawsuit in the history of this country.  The Obama administration and the Democratic Party used opposition research to paint a false narrative of corruption in the Oval Office to discredit the election.

How many riots and street demonstrations did we see in 2017 as outraged and triggered liberals ran around smashing in windows and beating people up because of their delusion based on a lie?

How many hours of lost productivity did the country suffer because of FBI complicity in an operation to overturn a legal election?

How many millions in property damage?  Destroyed careers?

What about the direct victims of this disgusting display of government corruption taken to its logical conclusion?

Why is Michael Flynn nearly bankrupt after being hounded by Mueller for months only to get a nothing guilty plea on the thinnest of procedural offenses?

When the corruption is this venal isn’t it our right under the Constitution to petition our government for a redress of grievances?  Who do we sue?

Because there’s material harm here and someone should be held responsible.  This began under Obama’s watch.  He set this whole process in motion.  High ranking members of his cabinet are directly implicated by the facts in the memo.

And the memo is just the beginning of the discovery phase of this very public trial.

Government on Trial

But, I want more than that.  I want it all out in the open. And I want those responsible, those for whom the titles, salaries, benefits and power we bestow on them to do our work, to stand up and be accountable.

And if they are too venal, feckless and narcissistic to admit these things, then we’ll drag them through the most embarrassing of show trials.

And that means stripping them of their wealth, power and privilege.

It means turning off their house organs in the media; outing the enablers, leakers, trolls and spooks.

It means releasing everything, unredacted, in the name of national security.

It means reminding them of just how much all of that depends on our consent, not theirs.

Because if we don’t demand these things, then next time there won’t even be the pretense of an election.

What will the Dems ten page memo contain? Some nonsense about how Carter Page has been under surveillance since 2013?
Curious how they will attempt to extinguish this major blaze.

Everything connected in this what now should be a crimanil case needs to be made public . Any redaction allows someone or some act to remain in the shadows . All the people involved have proven they are without honor and integrity so all must be brought into the light and dare I say the crucible ! This is really no longer an investigation this is forcing those involved to reveal themselves and their actions or be held in contempt indefinitely .
I also believe it should fall under the UCMJ and not the judiciary due to the fact it is HIGH CRIMES AND MISDEMEANORS up to and including MURDER & TREASON !

Boat Guy,
I understand your complete lack of faith in the Judicial Branch.

Please consider that the military is granted zero power in the constitution.

Please consider that the military’s own system has proven to be untrustworthy and unreliable as well by insiders, including most notably Chelsea Manning.

“Manning told Chang that she felt compelled to leak the documents in the public interest because the channels for raising her concerns with senior officials “are there, but they don’t work.”

https://www.google.com/amp/www.newsweek.com/chelsea-manning-interview-reveals-why-she-leaked-secret-military-documents-623668%3famp=1

Believe me, I share your frustration with the entirely fucked up corrupt establishment. It does in fact include the military though, which many Americans must be oblivious to, or they would never be supporting it.

Please consider also, that the military tribunals would in fact be the first step towards a full blown fascist military dictatorship! That never ends well!

Please consider also, that it would be simply an exchange of corruption, and evil, but this time with absolute authority and increased power, and a history of cold blooded murder!

Please consider also that things can always be worse and a military dictatorship is definitely worse!

The release of the FISA (Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act) Memo written by the Intelligence Committee of Congress chaired by Devin Nunes is very important news because it implicates the Obama Whitehouse, Attorney General Loretta Lynch, high level members of the Department of Justice and State Department, Hillary Clinton and the Democratic National Committee (DNC), and former Director Comey of the FBI and other high-level members of the FBI in a conspiracy to commit treason and overthrow the elected Trump administration. And this is just the tip of the iceberg that also involves the CIA, NSA and Democratic members of Congress. One of the implications is that Russiangate has been shown to be a fraud foisted onto the American people by the DNC and a lying Main Stream Media (MSM). And despite the importance of this FISA Memo, the coverage in Canada and throughout the western world by most of the MSM has been very limited, its significance downplayed and the Memo’s content with regard to corruption at the highest levels distorted or ignored. This Memo has not only revealed treason at the highest levels of the US government and governmental agencies, but has exposed the Main Stream Media as little more than a corrupt, lying and propaganda media. In consideration of the fact that the MSM is devoid of truth, balanced reporting or objective opinion, read the FISA Memo along with articles from the TRUTH or alternative media. If you still watch/read the MSM, you are being fed a combination half-truths and outright lies on the important issues and events that impact all of us because there is little truth to be found there. The entire western world does not have a free, independent and dispersed main stream media or press anymore but a corrupt, corporate-controlled MSM that serves the interests of the owners of this mass media, not the interests of the people.

That wdg is exactly why I “bother” to jump to your comments, which at first seem to be long diatribes without use of paragraph return.

However, you write very insightful summary about complex issues at times. Just sayin.

Admin,
True, however, the spying on Trump began under GWB. It is proof of how the surveillance state spies on everyone. Admittedly, each individual thinks that their reason makes them unique, and being a presidential contender is certainly the most obvious threat and unique position that anyone could hold.

However, they are in fact spying on everyone. More and more people are beginning to realize that they have been victims of surveillance and stalking abuses. It is everyone. The surveillance state and congress have even admited it, yet people continue to deny it, or claim that the victims are crazy. Obviously, the deniers are the crazy ones!

The Democrat’s response….

“The Republicans have seriously compromised the security of the Deep State, uh…er… that is to say the United States with the partisan release of this classified information. We have no choice but to vote to impeach Donald Trump for breaching our national security. And finally may we add….Oh Huh!”

My guess after seeing Rachel Madow, which was in an article link is that it will be information in the dossier, which they continue to swear is true.

They can’t get away with it though, because of the Russian intelligence officers that they used for the information in the Steel Dossier.

So we should rightly have military buildup at Russian borders for psyopping a former MI6 agent and embarrassing and destroying the DNC and RNC that financed It, in addition to destroying the State Department and Justice Department! Lol!

It is just one more reason to distrust the military also, because military advisers advised that the buildup should take place.

I’ve been subjected to the propaganda of these war mongering military tyrants for my entire life, we all have been. They are always looking for new enemies. They are evil. They are addicted to legalized serial killing. It is pathological.

What keeps being left our of the discussion and which is a crucial point is…the dossier was never verified. The fucking FBI…the largest, mostwoeful and resourceful law enforcement/ investigative agency in the world didn’t follow up or confirm anything. Was Trump even in that hotel, cab fare for ehores, video surveillance footage from the Ritz-Carlton…fuck ,anything. I conducted more comprehensive field investigating from the front seat of the patrol car when I was a cop. ..investigation 101.

See TDB’s excellent summary at

What the FISA Memo Reveals about the FBI, DNC, GOP–and the sketchy timeline

As you laud these achievements, remember that on 11 January, the GOP House reauthorized FISA.
Nunes and most (all?) of our other GOP ‘heros’ voted to renew this piece of shit. Nunes voted against an amendment to require law enforcement to get warrants before reading American citizen’s private communications. Bipartisan efforts defeated 4th Amendment protections. Then on 18 January, Nunes released his FISA memo to other CONgress critters. Then on 19 January, President Trump signed the renewal of FISA into law. Nobody, GOP or Dems, tried to curb this continuing violation of the 4th Amendment in any way. So this Nunes ‘bombshell’ is hardly all it is cracked up to be. Meanwhile Boobus Americanus is much too busy watching the Super Bowl or following the latest sex abuse scandal to notice more important revelations from such as Snowden and Assange. What changes? Believe in compensatory justice (trials, hangings, etc.) when it happens, not before. And it won’t happen here. Be seeing you, either in the gulag or in some Mad Max scenario after everything melts down.

Peak, our clique was into J. Geils when we were in our mid twenties. Early 80’s…
They’d come to an outdoor venue in my neck of the woods, that had pavilion seating that was covered and more $$, but behind the pavilion was a hill for the cheap seats.
Back in the early days, you could bring your own beverages, and about 20 of us would spread out blankets and stake out a patch of the hill, with a pony keg in each corner.
Of course, other mild intoxicants were consumed also. Many fond memories of those days, and Geils was a band that got you up on your feet and moving to the music.
After the concert one time, the boys went to a seedy little bar in the main city, and took the stage there, jamming into the wee hours of the mornin’.
We loved them, and they loved us. Miss those fuckers.
The only tunes they ever play on classic rock radio anymore are their 2 shittiest…
-Freeze Frame and Centerfold, but there are so many more worthwhiles. A few…
of course, all these sound best in live tracks.

Nope. Boston; home of quite a few bands I love. Aerosmith, Geils, the Cars, and of course, the city’s namesake, a favorite.
Journey, like Geils, loved playing in Detroit.
All that “born and raised in south Detroit…she took the midnight train goin’ anywhere” I think was a hat tip to their fans there.
Seger mentions it on one of his live albums, even if he is a homer.
During one live tune, I think it was “Let it Rock”, during a lull in the jam, he says
“They say that Detroit audiences are the greatest rock and roll audiences in the world…I thought to myself: shit, I’ve known that for 10 years.”
That said, he cut his 2nd Live Bullet album in Boston, so…Boston rocks.
I’ll leave you with a Seger song that I crank up to volume 10, but they rarely play the studio version (sounds better than the live one from the recorded concert in Boston, MA).
It’s actually from the Urban Cowboy soundtrack.
