Last time I checked, gov is filled with democrats AND republicans and a very tiny number of others. Government is indeed the root of all societal problems, but to blame it ONLY on the liberals is truly unfair to all the republicans, conservatives, and other government-loving types that have helped screw things up royally.
Will the dollar amount on those vouchers be limited to the portion of your tax contribution that goes into the school budget, or do you want someone else’s money too?
You’re getting someone else’s money now, but with vouchers the total amount would be less.
Personally, I suggest getting out of the public school system altogether if you have school age children. Those vouchers are still going to be government controlled money and will have government strings attached to them.
Unless you are among those that approve of the government’s school agendas, of course.
Discussions regarding the socialist funding aspect of government schools (or possible vouchers) just upset those think they are a good idea. Indeed, everyone should pay their own way (or be allowed to VOLUNTARILY contribute to charity schools, scholarships, etc. to help out those who need it).

Those who OWN the private property are the ONLY ones who should dictate the rules on their property….period. No hypocrisy there. The fundamental problem with government-run schools is that nobody and everybody owns them…and everyone’s money is STOLEN to pay for them. At least with a private business, you can choose to go elsewhere if you are unhappy with their security, etc. AND you can take your money with you. I think the government should simply get out of education 100%, but until then, they have a responsibility for keeping those in their CUSTODY safe, and gun-free zones don’t do that.
