Some of the hard corps NVA would wrap themselves up in rubber ponchos…and if they were lucky the napalm would slid off them…depending on were they were in the strike(s).
If they were dead center in the strike(s) and multiples followed occasionally an NVA would be just suffocated…all the super heated oxygen sucked out of their lungs…but mostly protected by the rubber. But they were dead…just looked like they were asleep.
However, most were just crispy critters…in the shape/form of a human…but if you got there soon after…in five words…charred gooey fetal curled shapes.
Our most precious possessions – sometimes – were the bright multicolored folded silk like air panels those designated to carry would yank out of their packs as we realized the video you just watched was coming to a Grunt near you. The air panels would be frantically staked or rocks put on their corners in front of our line while everyone else was madly digging. The Sky King shooting the Willy Peter then could clearly mark the Napalm hits (for the SHTF accurately) to save us from getting immolated in a “Friendly Fryer” mistake.
Once the Phantom jockey was having an inaccurate day.

I don’t know how true this is but since the US and allies have taken control of the Syrian oilfields (because of chemical attacks), the Russians are going to attack SA accusing them of chemical attacks. That is the word out there, who knows it could happen.
