Wasn’t the original intent of the 2nd Amend to arm the citizenry so it could defend itself from the tyranny of govt? I thought so.
“In order to guarantee the security of a free state, the right of the people to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed.” That means we have guns so we can kill any fuqueres that try to take away our government or “free state.” That also means it is up to us.

The bill of rights is to be iron clad control on government and its armed badge wearing minions . Need want desire is not a legitimate question when an American citizen excercises his or her rights .
The government has declared war on American citizens and heavily armed and militarized local sherifs and Police forces . Many of these local law enforcement officers cannot be trusted with the powers entrusted to them and their human nature is such that they grossly inflate their own importance and authority . Sadly far to many of would be good law enforcement close ranks and cover for the bad ones . Add to that criminals and gangs of illegals running loose and social and racial tensions ready to burst into a civil disturbance that police stand down and become casual observers . That’s why you should have an AR 15 and more !
