No, the biggest mistake was the 19th Amendment…Mandatory public school attendance and the destruction of real education followed from that fact, since women want to run everyone’s lives…Of course, the elites have always attended private schools.

He got it a bit wrong. The biggest mistake was allowing the government to CONTROL “education” in this country (licensing requirements, socialistic funding of their monopoly, curricula requirements, mandatory attendance laws, building code regulations, zoning regulations, etc.). The control that extends far beyond their failed day prisons that masquerade as schools, harms the private school sector, home schoolers, and pretty much anyone attempting to actually educate anyone outside of their force-based monopoly system. Were they simply operating a competitive option, funded by the parents whose children attended their option, and nothing else, they would have faded from existence a long time ago, with far superior options arising from an otherwise free market in education that would have grown up and flourished naturally.
And next to Ron Paul, Harry Browne was the greatest presidential candidate the Libertarian Party ever had the good sense to nominate.

The war on terror, govt-driven public education, women’s suffrage, the slave trade, Russians/Chinese getting our nuke secrets and the King James Bible. Seems that maybe these things share a common thread, but I can’t quite put my finger on it.
It’s gotten really tough to know what is real and what is satire when it comes the left these days.
