Months after releasing an ad shaming all men for being ‘toxic’ pigs (while curiously cutting out a scene from the original ad featuring a booty-grabbing fake rap video), Gillette wants female-to-male trans individuals to know that once those hormones kick in, they’ve got your shaving needs covered.
Their new advertisement features the moment a loving dad teaches his transgender son, Samson Brown, how to shave for the first time, according to Gaystar News.
“I’m at the point in my manhood where I’m actually happy. It’s not just myself transitioning, it’s everybody around me transitioning,” says Samson.”
“Thank you so much Gillette,” Samson commented under the ad on the company’s Facebook page, adding “‘I look forward to the great things you’re going to continue doing to encourage us all to be our best selves.”
“Thank you for sharing your story, Samson!” responded Gillette, in what was surely a natural and unscripted exchange surrounding their new ad campaign. “We’re honored to showcase this special moment between you and your father and are proud to have you as a partner. Thank you for your courage and confidence in sharing your journey to becoming your best self!” the shaving company continued.
In January, Gillette drew criticism for their short film on so-called ‘toxic masculinity,’ which begins with a montage of bullying and sexism – as a pack of wild, toxically masculine white boys tear around, leaving behind a wake of misery and abuse.
A narrator then goes on to suggest that “boys will be boys” is simply not going to fly anymore.
“Is this the best a man can get? Is it? We can’t hide from it. It has been going on far too long. We can’t laugh it off, making the same old excuses.”
As of this writing, the ad has 791,000 thumbs up on YouTube, and 1.4 million thumbs down.

One might have thought the ” brains”(*1) behind Gillette’s now-infamous “toxic masculinity” ad would figure out that insulting the core consumer base was not a terribly good idea.
Obviously they of the marketing department don’t have a fucking clue. Digging in the heels and doubling down on this risky strategic plan has been approved by the board members and shareholders of parent company Procter & Gamble? I guess it’s OK; this crap is on the air.
This commercial addresses a niche so small that it defies comprehension of using any “broadcast” method of dissemination rather than a “targeted” campaign for perhaps half the approximately “…0.6% of the U.S. adult population identifies as transgender, or 1.4 million adults.” Of which, according to a high credibility study(*2) by UCLA, 16 % of the transgender population of the U.S.A. being African-American and estimating that roughly half of those would be trans-male (only gave the report a cursory review) would make the target audience around 120,000 individuals.
Then add to the fact that the target viewer: young trans-male Africans, is probably not tied to legacy media vectors- they may just play video games and listen to their “hip hop,” one gets the impression that the advertisement is not for the Black “trans-male” at all.
In fact the spot comes across as nothing less than a follow-up, high-handed insult to the overwhelming majority of Gillette razor blade using men: that your patronage is unwanted, your authentic male gender is not valued, and your business to us is simply unimportant.
Or perhaps like so much on TeeVee these days it is nothing more than “trans”agitprop along with the rest of the “Negroes with white wimmenz”, LBGTQPPIBN+, and hypersexualized teasing of advertisers and marketing in the West’s fetid and festering sewer of controlled mass communications and debauched culture.
Whatever the reason or plan is – it sure is a fucking turn off. Ugh.

I got three grand kids with me right now and had to make a choice because I have time for only one comment right now. I chose this one because it makes me so angry I want to scream. They are ruining these kids lives and they don’t give a crap.
I have a very close friend who’s 30 year old daughter has been taking hormones for over a year to transition herself to, and these are my friends words, “the ugliest woman pretending to be a man that she has ever seen”. The testosterone hormones are giving her acne on her face and back. She was in the hospital recently and the hospital staff had to tiptoe around the whole sex thing and at the same time, treat her as a biological female in order to treat her properly.
It is breaking my friends heart. This is her only child. There is nothing she can do and the so called “mental health industry” will not do anything other than support the daughters choices.
I hate the people who are pushing this agenda with a passion and hope they burn hell in the boiling excrement that they claim is happening to Jesus right now.

For years now we’ve been using Dorco products. Fifty to seventy percent off Gillette. No subscriptions, no harassing emails, texts etc. Both men and women razors. I think the products are made in South Korea but they have a US presence and free shipping. We’ve never been disappointed in the quality of the cartridges. The top of my razor fell off after five years of almost daily use. Started with them five years ago as I realized I was supporting a near monopoly by Gillette. The mark-up on these products is incredible just like cosmetics but Gillette has no real competition.
Bought a straight edge razor thinking it would make me seem cool (I was in my 20’s). All these years later I still use it because it works and all I have to so is strop the blade every couple of shaves. Disposable blades and razors are convenient, but they cost money over a lifetime and they never seem to cut as close.
I feel sorry for the kid’s hair. Not sure what that’s all about.
