We went to see an Eddie Money/Foghat concert on the beach in Wildwood two years ago. He put on a good show. I hope you got two tickets to Paradise Eddie. RIP

I saw Eddie at the old Civic Center Theater (OKC) in 1986 or 1987. The seats we had on the balcony were taken by some recording equipment, so my ex-husband and I got seats in the little section in front of the stage. It was amazing and the guy was a great stage presence.
Thanks for the special post! Am happy to be able to comment.
Edited. Enough said. Snark removed.
Besides having a decent list of creative, catchy hits, what I like about him is, he made an effort to keep loyal to his fans, and to try and keep ticket prices affordable to them. We have an outdoor theater in my neck ‘o the woods, and he kicked off the venue’s season each year for the last 28, if not mistaken. Possibly because one of his band members is from the area.
Two Tickets, and Baby Hold On launched his popularity, but I also like Trinidad, and I Think I’m In Love.
He was a good dude. Down to earth, unlike most pop music stars.
His daughter sang on stage w/ him and the band, last time I saw him, about 3-4 years ago.
My fave was Be My Little Baby.
Am changing images with a new image account. And, am deleting old accounts from weird places.
(Some are in really weird places.)
It’s titled “Take Me Home Tonight”, not Be My Little Baby.
Unfortunately, the original video with Ronnie Spector dancing into the empty concert hall where Eddie is playing his sax is no longer to be found. I know not many think Ronnie is much to look at, but my wife dances like that it always got me “where it counts”!
Found it for ya, RS. Bitchute to the rescue! …and MY wife dances that way, too!
I LOVED it when Ronnie walked onstage. Had forgotten the name…just her voice…BE MY LITTLE BABY…
thanks.
not to diss eddie, and on the heels of FF eye candy, to note the other band Addy saw at Wildwood…
“Nothing could be better than to see you in a sweater and a real tight skirt that don’t fit.”
Bummmerrrr
Saw him play with Meatloaf back in the late 70’s at the Nassau Coliseum on Long Island. He left a life as an NYC cop cause he wanted to be a rock and roll star. He did it!

But after a life in the fast lane, Money was spent.
RIP
But, instead, perhaps, someone should take the Money and run.
This is sad- I hear at least one of his songs on the radio practically every week.
His music sucked horribly.
The beauty in the “Shakin'” video is Apollonia, famous from Prince’s “Purple Rain” movie. One HOT lady!
Saw him 1 1/2 years ago in wichita he played about an hour but afterwards shook hands posed for pics signed autographs came off as a cool dude. R.I.P.
i wasn’t a big eddie money fan but from what i’ve heard he was a good guy–married to the same woman he originally married,a houseful of kids, just a normal guy, unlike many of the stars–
btw, regarding foghat–pretty sure their original lead singer died years ago–
Saw him on TV recently and you knew he was battling some sort of illness. The poor guy looked like Beatlejuice.
I saw the Cars in OKC that year TOO. RIP Ric.
Journey, too. How is Steve Perry?
Nick told me about Ocasek last night.
We are old.

Damn. We lost another one.
They’re dropping like flies in autumn.
I like quite a few Cars tunes.
Ric scored himself a fine Sports Illustrated swimsuit model many years back…Paulina Poriskova, if memory has it right.
